Wish the basketball game score keeper was working properly for some hyped up competition. When we first arrived the temperature was set at 55*. A bit chilly for sure. We could not get the pilot light on the heater in the game room to light and that room total quite a while to warm up. We all slept well, loved the king beds, comfortable and lovely linens too. Room darkening curtains were a plus. One bedroom was downstairs on the basement level with a bathroom right outside the door. We had a great night and checkout was easy. It was spotless. This place really let us pack a lot of fun into your stay. We are so happy we found it for our overnight stay with family. "

This charming house is in a quiet neighborhood with its own fenced in yard that has all the amenities you require. Offers an eat-in kitchen with new stove and fridge, a formal dining room and a plush living room with new and comfortable furniture. There are two full bathrooms, one on the ground floor just off the living room with a standup shower, and one upstairs near all three bedrooms with a shower and a soaking tub.

The house is close to everything and less than a 10 minute drive to the NBA Hall of Fame, MGM Casino and Hotel, The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss, the Titanic Historic Society, Springfield Armory Historic Site and MassMutual Center. It's also walking distance to historic Forest Park and Franklin Park Zoo, as well as many restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Unlike many other short-term rentals in area this is a FULL-HOUSE (not an apartment) with its own fenced in back yard with outdoor seating and off-street parking (in driveway) for multiple cars.

All three of the main bedrooms are on the second floor accessible by a wide and easy turn staircase. The primary bedroom features a king bed with smart TV, bedroom two has a queen bed and smart TV, and the third bedroom features a trundle-style day bed with two separate twin beds. The second floor also features a full bathroom with oversized soaking tub just a few steps from all three bedrooms.

There is also a fourth 'bonus' room on the ground floor with a queen-sized futon that can be used as either a playroom, in office space, extra sleeping area or whatever.

The formal dining room has table and chairs for six people and the living room has a comfy pull-out sofa (queen) that sleeps two. There is also a three-season room in front of house facing the scenic tree-lined road.

This house has both historic charm and modern amenities and is the perfect place for either a quick visit or a long term stay. Situated about one mile from the Connecticut line, there is quick access to Rte. 91. Bradley International Airport is a 15 minute ride in light traffic. The Basketball Hall of Fame, MGM Casino, Dr. Seuss Museum, Six Flags, The Big E, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, just a few of the area attractions. Great restaurants and grocery shopping nearby.

The space
About the space:

This property offers ample parking in the driveway, and a fenced in back yard.

The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a half bath, a living room with a gas fireplace, and a bedroom with a king sized bed. The bedroom and living room are complete with 58" televisions and Roku.

Outside the kitchen door, a breezeway connects to the driveway and to the back yard deck.
The deck offers a table, umbrella, gas grill, and a large hot tub for 6. Additional folding chairs will be provided to meet the size of your guest count.

The second floor has a full bath, and three bedrooms; a king and two queens. Each bedroom has its own TV and Roku.

In the finished basement, there is a large sectional couch, a 85" flat screen TV with Roku, a futon, gas fireplace, a counter, sink and mini fridge, treadmill, recumbent bike, a desk with computer for guest use, and a Bosch compact washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets provided.

For smaller guests, we also offer a high chair, a Pack and Play, a booster seat and 2 baby gates at all times located in the upstairs bedroom closet.

Please ask ahead of time if you would like the Pack and Play w/ bottom sheets to be set up before your arrival.

Guests are welcome to all areas of the house except the garage, the backyard shed, a locked basement room, and some locked closets and cabinets.
Guests are invited to use anything in the areas that are unlocked. There is plenty of guest parking in the driveway. Two towels per guest will be provided. Guests are encouraged to hang towels from hooks provided in bedrooms for re-use.

Other things to note
The basement offers a futon, complete with bedding and a foam topper (located in a nearby closet, available at all times). Upon prior request, the futon bed will be made for your convenience.

There is a Sealy queen air mattress with bedding and a foam topper.

We will have some complimentary bottled water in the fridge at your arrival. The filtered water and ice from the fridge is excellent.

The house has plenty of towels available, and the beds are made and ready for your use.

Small dogs need to be supervised in the backyard as there are some areas that they could get through. The fence and ground is not even in some areas. We have planters placed in front of those areas to discourage escape.

The Master Bedroom has a King-size Bed, with luxury linens and the second bedroom holds bunk-beds and a twin futon. The unit is private, w/ a stairway leading directly to the Garage. There is also access to a private washer/dryer, pool, jacuzzi. There is NO Kitchen but a Small frig. and eating area.

The space
This unit is in the basement of our Longmeadow home and includes access to the large pool, jacuzzi and gas fire-pit & grill in the fenced in backyard.

Longmeadow is a lovely town close to Springfield. About an hour from the Berkshires and 1.5 hours from Boston.

Other things to note
Garbage is picked up on Tuesday mornings and you should roll the garbage bins to the curb on Monday night.
