The Neighborhood:
We love Main Street Manayunk for its local shops and restaurants -- Pilgrim Roaster and Volo Coffee are two of our favorite places to grab a cup on the go and the best margaritas can be found at Taqueria Feliz at happy hour! Stroll the streets on Thursdays in the summer for local events, movie nights and more.

Please note: Parking is extremely limited and on a first come-first serve basis in the neighborhood. There is free, unlimited street parking on a few of the surrounding streets but this is subject to change as the city increases parking restrictions during certain hours. The nearest paid parking lot is located at 4000 Main Street and is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. We suggest unloading all belonging before parking in the lot as there is an uphill walk back to the apartment. If you do find a parking spot, we suggest leaving the car parked and walking or using ride-share.

Getting Around:
🚗 Wissahickon Train Station is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. The train takes you to Center City in about 20 minutes. You can purchase train tickets on-board (cash only) for $6. There are no options to buy tickets at the station but once you arrive in Center City (Jefferson Station, Suburban Station, 30th Street Station) there are ticket counters.

🚗Free street parking is available on Hermit St. and all surrounding cross streets. Parking after 6pm can be difficult so if you find a spot and plan to go out, we recommend walking or taking the train or car service.

The apartment is well appointed with a full kitchen, two queen bedrooms, a living room with Smart TV, a full bathroom on the main level and half bath on the upper floor. We are located just a short walk to Main Street, where you'll find a plethora of locally owned shops and restaurants.

The Space:
IMPORTANT: You must be able to climb several set of stairs. Guests with mobility challenges should consider before booking. As you reach the top of the stairs inside the apartment, you'll find the kitchen to the left with a table that seats 4 and a door leading outside to the spacious, southwestern facing deck. To the right, you'll enter the living room with a 55 inch Roku smart TV (Netflix provided). You will be able to log into any of your own channel subscriptions via apps on the TV. Continue down the hallway, and to the left you'll find a cozy queen bedroom with a very comfortable 12 inch Zinus Green Tea memory foam mattress. To the right at the end of the hall, is the full bathroom. Our standing shower has great water pressure and a nice, clean glass shower door for an open and airy (yet private) shower experience.

Continue upstairs, where you'll find the second queen bedroom -- a unique space with a skylight, sloped ceilings, exposed stonework, a 55 inch Roku smart TV and en-suite powder room with a combination washer/dryer unit. Please be cautious as there is a small step down to the bed.

Please note, this is a 3-unit building. Reasonable, everyday noises are expected outside of quiet hours.

Guest Access:
When you open the front door, you will enter a common stairway. The door to the apartment is up the stairs on the second floor. Upon entry, there is another set of stairs and the apartment is located on the third and fourth floors of the building. Enjoy full access to our entire apartment. Parking is included. All doors are accessible with keypad smart locks.

Lauded as one of the most desirable and safest places to live in Philadelphia, Manayunk is full of small town charm with all the conveniences of the big city. Restaurants and locally owned businesses line Main Street which is just a short walk from our apartment. We are located in a quiet residential area of Manayunk and we expect our guests to be respectful of our neighbors and treat our home like their own.

Getting Around:
Want to explore Center City, Philadelphia? The train station is a short walk from the apartment and will take you to Center City in under 20 minutes. Uber/Lyft is also readily available. If you are feeling adventurous, rent a bike from Human Zoom on Main Street and ride up Kelly Drive along the Schuylkill River toward the city for a trip you will never forget.

It was important that we have convenient access to local trains into center city. This location was the perfect choice--a ten minute walk to the Manayunk SEPTA train station. So, we were able to leave our car parked for two days at the property and get around with all forms of public transportation using the SEPTA Key-Card system with "neighborhood day pass" tickets. Our host was great! When we had questions, the response was complete and timely. The location is convenient by car to an Acme supermarket on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, no more than 10 minutes away. We also found great restaurants on Main Street, convenient by foot. We were all impressed by the cleanliness of the apartment and the furnishings. We all enjoyed light dinners on the deck overlooking Manayunk. We would most definitely book this apartment again."

Wissahickon Train Station is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. The train takes you to Center City in about 20 minutes. You can purchase train tickets on-board (cash only) for $6. There are no options to buy tickets at the station but once you arrive in Center City (Jefferson Station, Suburban Station, 30th Street Station) there are ticket counters.

Free street parking is available on Hermit St. and all surrounding cross streets. Parking after 6pm can be difficult so if you find a spot and plan to go out, we recommend walking or taking the train or car service.

Great for people looking for an extraordinary Philadelphia home, this superbly styled church makes for a perfect and unique getaway. With a truly “safe feel” to it, the residence is ideal for groups of friends and family looking for a convenient “home away from home.” We have daybeds and pull-out beds into the sofa, and an air mattress if needed so don't worry about sleeping arrangements. We uphold the highest standards in keeping our guest and ourselves safe and comfortable. It is perfectly situated, if you want to be close to the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia, but not right in the middle of it. With reliable internet, we can simulate your “home office” too. Without a doubt, this place makes for a true “revival” for those in need of one.
