Our home is in the middle of the Washington Square West neighborhood and it was built in 1858. It is one of the oldest and most historic areas in Philadelphia. The neighborhood is residential with historic townhouses, but also walking distance to everything in Philadelphia including many restaurants, bars, & attractions. The Pennsylvania Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Old City, Society Hill, South Street, Bella Vista, and Graduate Hospital are all within a five to ten minute walk. You'll find everything you might need within walking distance including a corner store, coffee shops, Whole Foods, a wine/liquor store, CVS and many top rated bars and restaurants!

**Like most houses built in the period, please be aware that this property has somewhat steep stairs. The stairs to the roof deck are VERY steep and shallow. It is not handicapped accessible.

Public transportation (bus and subway) is easily accessible. A bus stop and the subway stop (Broad Street Line) are a few blocks away. The house is within walking distance to two major train stations (Suburban Station and Jefferson Station). 30th Street Station is a ten minute Uber/Lyft/cab ride. The airport is 25 minutes by Subway or twenty minute by Uber/Lyft/cab ($28.50 is the set fare for cab + $1 for additional passengers)

Uber, Lyft, and taxis are all readily available in the area. There is also an Indego bike share station just a couple blocks from the house.

Most street parking near the house is fine for 2 hours, but you can go a few blocks south of South Street to park for extended periods of time & I'm always happy to offer tips & help assist.

- "It was perfect for my husband and I as we were in town for a conference. Central location and quiet at night considering it is in the city. We kept the curtains closed because their is no view other than a brick wall. Overall very pleased and would stay here again." - "Me and 3 friends wanted to stay in downtown Philadelphia and found this place. The location was amazing for walking anywhere we wanted to go, but this place should only be shown to parties of 2 or less. The “double pull out sofa” is just a small hard futon. And there were only 2 bath towels for showering. The kitchen had no knives or cutting boards to cut food. I was really disappointed with how uncomfortable we all were."

- "The location is a straight shot drive to the navy yard area where we saw a concert, and also walking distance to downtown sites. The street is very calm and quiet. The unit had the feel of a hotel in terms of very nice bedding and no personal items of a host. Nicely appointed with soap etc. It was extremely spacious so staying in a night was comfortable. Small store across street for food and other necessities, and great coffee / bakery spot in the theater lobby around the corner that really had good stuff. There were no images of the shower, but it didn't concern me with the square footage. The shower was maybe 5 square feet. We were also only were issued two towels I would recommend allowing 4 and also putting up an alternative mirror to use as the only one available was a small one in the bathroom. it was difficult for two people to get ready for the day. - "The photos are staged well but many things are not as presented. This unit should not be listed as luxury. IF YOU LIKE LUXURY AND THE OPTION TO HAVE A HOT, NOT LUKEWARM SHOWER OR BATH DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!! The building itself and hallways really need maintenance. So when you first walk in it is a bit jarring to see how ugly the hallway is. Then when you get to the unit things are not well maintained. It looks clean at first glance. It was one thing after the other with this place. Originally booked for 2 for me and my mom since it listed sleeps 3. There was no sleep sofa. The blinds in the living room are broken off so there is no bottom half which meant that I had no privacy in the living room at night. Dirty stained placemats on table. Air conditioners are taped into the windows. The curtains in the bedroom are taped to the window. Yes, I said taped. I have never seen that before. Don't know the owners but I don't think we have the same concept of luxury. Wallpaper mural behind bed is peeling off. There are chunks of paint peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom as well as around the mirror. Broken towel rack that fell off the wall. Worst of all there is no truly hot water, only barely warm for a shower or bath. One night I had no hot water for a shower. Old stained refrigerator. Dirty range hood on top of the stove. I actually wanted and tried to leave but couldn't find another booking on short notice. The location is the best part. "

Open concept living room with a 65in tv and large sectional sofa. Dining area includes dining table and seating for 4 guests . I have a full kitchen with standard cookware , dishes, and small appliances. There is one bathroom located upstairs in my unit where you’ll find towels, and basic shower essentials . Both bedrooms feature a Queen sized bed with a TV and a Full sized bed in the guest room. I also provide clean fresh linen in each room . The space
The apartment is amazingly designed for comfort, convenience and a good energy and vibe once you enter our flat. You'd be surprise how quaint and how much we made out of our space. You have a full size comfortable bed with plush quilts and cozy linens, accompanied by soft pillows for a good nights rest.

We set up a tall table top dining set for two, where you can comfortably work from and have those morning cups of coffee or some quality time sharing a good meal.
The kitchen is fully stocked, with all the amenities you need to eat and save on your budget or wow yourself and loved ones with a great made meal. Includes Microwave, all cooking utensils, dishware, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, all provided for your comfort and convenience.

We have a nice clean bathroom with a stand up shower and a your private separate toilet and vanity separate from the shower area as well in case you have guest over or are rushing in the mornings with your loved one.

We have also provided a comfortable chair which you can face the flat screen TV with to binge watch your favorite streaming shows. Reliable wifi, comfortable apartment, and a great location makes this a great choice for your stay.

There is a coin operated community washer and dryer located on the 3rd floor common area available 24 hours a day.
We happily accept pets and require a monthly pet fee, your pet must be house trained.

Parking is also available in the area. You have a choice to find a spot and park sometime restrictions exist depending on the time of day but free overnight. There is also a paid lot around the corner for longer term parking as well. And we also know of some local blocks where you can park all day and night with no restrictions only 6 mins away if you plan on not using your car. Just ask.

Heating: Each apartment has electric baseboard heaters in them. They are typically white or cream colored metal units across the lower parts of the wall. Most of them have a knob on them for temperature control. Some apartments have one main control by the living room or kitchen call. It a metal unit that runs across the wall lower part. There is a knob on each right turns it higher. After a bit it gets very warm in there.
