Our home is in the middle of the Washington Square West neighborhood and it was built in 1858. It is one of the oldest and most historic areas in Philadelphia. The neighborhood is residential with historic townhouses, but also walking distance to everything in Philadelphia including many restaurants, bars, & attractions. The Pennsylvania Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Old City, Society Hill, South Street, Bella Vista, and Graduate Hospital are all within a five to ten minute walk. You'll find everything you might need within walking distance including a corner store, coffee shops, Whole Foods, a wine/liquor store, CVS and many top rated bars and restaurants!

**Like most houses built in the period, please be aware that this property has somewhat steep stairs. The stairs to the roof deck are VERY steep and shallow. It is not handicapped accessible.

Public transportation (bus and subway) is easily accessible. A bus stop and the subway stop (Broad Street Line) are a few blocks away. The house is within walking distance to two major train stations (Suburban Station and Jefferson Station). 30th Street Station is a ten minute Uber/Lyft/cab ride. The airport is 25 minutes by Subway or twenty minute by Uber/Lyft/cab ($28.50 is the set fare for cab + $1 for additional passengers)

Uber, Lyft, and taxis are all readily available in the area. There is also an Indego bike share station just a couple blocks from the house.

Because our home is located on a car-free street in the heart of the city, nearby street parking can be limited.

Eat in kitchen, large back patio, two spacious bedrooms, & two bathrooms with natural light.

Because my home is located on a car-free street in the heart of the city, nearby street parking can be limited. However, there are a few parking garages & public parking lots close by that charge about $40/day to park. Most street parking near the house is fine for 2 hours, but you can go a few blocks south of South Street to park for extended periods of time & I'm always happy to offer tips & help assist.

Pre-Check-in Requirement: For security and verification purposes, we require all primary guests to submit a clear photo or scan of a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g driver`s license, passport) before we can send check-in details. No Smoking: Smoking (including vaping/e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited inside the unit and all common areas. A cleaning fee of at least $250 will be charged for any violation.
Registered Guests Only: Only those listed on the reservation are allowed to stay overnight.
Check-out: Check-out is 10:00 AM. Unauthorized late check-outs will be subject to a fee.
Damages: Please report any accidental damage immediately. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairs for damages caused during their stay.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.

- "I had a great stay here, the location is excellent. Parking is available very close, for a fee - but that is to be expected in Center City. Communication with the host is immediate and helpful. My only suggestion might be checking the door lock as I did have a few issues with it not locking properly. A dedicated work desk might be nice too. But it's at the heart of everything, close to restaurants, theater and entertainment. " - "This studio apartment was perfect for my short stay in Philly.
