If you've not been the the San Francisco Bay Area before, do stay in San Francisco for at least one night. But then come join us here in Mill Valley, for the perfect northern California experience.

Why this property?
Before putting this unit on the market we completed a major remodel, taking much of the property down to the studs. All the small details - sophisticated lighting, built-in speakers, etc. - contribute to a great experience. The kitchen is small, so we made it special, with a gourmet gas range, granite counter tops, etc. The deck was always nice, but we made it nicer, with Brazilian teak, and cable railings. And the exterior path and steps have been redesigned, to better leverage the garden.

Mill Valley has many wonderful properties, but some of them are time-consuming to get to. This property is only 1.1 miles from the freeway ramp.

Two considerations: 1) Like many San Francisco, Sausalito and Mill Valley properties, this unit does not have air conditioning. 2) It's about 40 steps to the unit. Not 40 in a row (there are multiple landings) and most of the steps are low-rise, but do read the reviews and make sure the property is right for you. Thanks!

April 14, 2025 - In the interest of full disclosure, construction on a new home just down the street has started. So far the noise has not been an issue, but I never want guests to feel that they weren’t told about something that they should have been. I think my property is benefitting by the fact that the construction site isn’t actually visible from the rental - because of the slope of the hillside plus some trees that are in the way. The crews also seem to pack-up by 4:30pm - that’s common in the Bay Area since evening traffic can be bad and “the trades” try to be in front of the worst of the commute. Aug 14, 2025 update: The structure is in the framing stage now; that means hammers. Marin County allows construction noise to begin at 8am, and this seems to be happening. The good news: so far, all construction activity is over by 4pm each day. Some periods are weirdly quiet. Again, reach-out to me if you have any questions.

This modern and cozy standalone 1 bedroom guest home is set off from the street, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Skylights, windows and glass paned doors allow for an abundance of natural light.

The living space has a lovely view of the garden, cushioned cozy chairs and a couch that converts easily to a full size bed if needed. While sitting on the couch, lift the top of the custom coffee table to create a working desk or additional dining space.

There are no stairs to navigate so the space is easily accessible for all.
WiFi, large flat-screen TV that uses an HDMI hook up to your computer or a dedicated remote to hook up to Netflix and other accounts of your own. There is no cable TV unless you live stream, games, books and more are included to make you feel right at home.

The private bedroom is beautiful with an extremely comfortable queen size bed and spacious closet. Guests are raving about the bed and keep telling us they sleep great! We are frequently asked where we bought it. The blackout blinds and skylight shade are fabulous.

You will also find a twin blow up bed for an extra guest if needed.
Your private home has a full bath with tub and shower with a wonderful bright skylight over the tub to bring in lots of natural light. Both overhead and hand held shower heads are included.

The airy open style kitchen with all the amenities (see list below) you can think of have been provided so you can cook up fresh meals. We have a 4 burner gas stove and oven, along with a full refrigerator.

The custom mobile kitchen island can be rolled to face into the garden or the TV based on your mood.

During the warmer months feel free to relax in the back yard and enjoy a meal, cup of tea/coffee or glass of wine on your outside patio.

NOTE to longer term guests of 7 days or more. You may request cleaning service for an additional fee of $75. You may also use the washer and dryer in the main house free of charge once a week.

COVID SAFETY MEASURES: To ensure the safety and well being of our cleaning staff and guests, all blankets and bedding, bedspread and towels are washed after each stay. Masks and gloves are worn during cleaning and all surfaces are wiped down with disinfectant. There are disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer in the kitchen island drawer for your use.

PETS: We have treats and bowls ready for your pet. Please wipe paws to keep the furniture and beds clean. We have towels or you can bring your own.

ARTWORK: We hope you love the original artwork, photography and custom furniture created by family, friends and local artists which adds to the unique experience we have crafted just for our guests. A booklet with bios of each artist is available for you to enjoy.

There is ample parking on the street and in front of the house.
Come down the driveway and through the gate to the backyard. You will see the guest house in front of you at the end of the backyard.

You will surely notice and love the giant twin Redwood tree in the front yard as you walk down the side driveway, through the gate, past the front main house toward the back of the property to arrive at your freestanding guest house.

Seamless and easy check-in.
Feel free to arrive anytime day or evening. There are motion sensor lights all the way down and at the front door which will come on as you pass to light up the way if you arrive in the evening.

The small patio in front of the patio doors of your vacation home is there under the apple tree for you to enjoy. There is outdoor furniture and ambient lighting.

We provide small appliances (microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea kettle) a full set of dishes, plastic cups and dishes for kids, stemware, cups, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, placements, linens, serving sets, bottle openers, strainers, cookie sheets, tupperware and more for your use.
We have coffee, tea, sugar, oil, spices, salt and pepper.
Also included are examples of other supplies you may find such as popcorn, cocoa, flour, oats. ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, pasta, mac & cheese, rice, pancake mix, peanut butter, jam and a few other items.

We do stock paper towels/napkins, dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, body lotion, toilet paper, sponges and kitchen bags.

The energy efficient heating and cooling system are easily controlled with a remote to achieve the perfect temperature. There are additional space heaters in the bathroom and bedroom for use. It might be a bit chilly from time to time and the efficient heaters will warm the space up quickly.

We have a state of the art efficiency on-demand water heating system that you will surely love.
The bathroom and outdoor lights have energy efficient motion sensors so they will turn off automatically when not in use.

We do respect our guest’s privacy. The place is well stocked so it should be self-sufficient. Please let us know anytime if you need anything or have any questions. We are happy to help in any way as well to make your stay more enjoyable.

Our property is fully fenced in and we welcome pets for an additional $75.00 cleaning deposit per stay which will be added at check out. We do have bowls for your pets here for your use and usually a few dog treats on hand. The back yard is completely fenced in. Guests staying longer than one week will be charged $50.00 per additional week for pets. Animal waste must be removed from the yard and out in the garbage can located in the small shed in the driveway.

This is a sweet retreat nestled in the eucalyptus trees, a 5-10 minute drive from hiking trails in the Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Muir Beach and Green Gulch Farm, 15 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.
This large studio is the lower unit of a house built in 1965. My wife and I live upstairs, above this apartment - You may hear us moving about. Recently renovated with new furniture, the apartment is fresh, light-filled and private. Surrounded by trees, it truly feels like a private haven.

The second bedroom at the front of this beautiful home looks out on to the lush, private, front garden and courtyard. It has a comfortable sofa bed, and includes large, built-in, white laminate working desks with two comfortable work stations and bookshelves. It is perfect for those who work from home.

The whole house, including the office, is served by our high-speed Wi-Fi network.

The gardens are marvelous. The private front garden welcomes you in through the front patio, with its comfortable lounge, grand fern, pomegranate tree and climbing roses. On one side of the house is the seasonal creek, with impressive gigantic bamboo and numerous trees, including an iconic redwood. On the other side of the house is a smaller garden area that showcases some of the owners' own ceramic sculpture and vegetable garden. Behind the house there is an intimate patio with comfortable seating, an outdoor dining table for six surrounded by flowers, herbs, and trees including a fig, apple, and pear.

Even though this house is very close to San Francisco, there's a fair amount of wildlife around. You may see deer by the creek, raccoons scampering along the decks, squirrels and birds, among other wildlife.

Few houses in Mill Valley have air conditioning. Even on the very hottest days of the year, though, this house is comfortable without needing air conditioning because of its reflective roof coating.

This is a primary residence--not a stripped-down rental property--so it's filled with personal effects, and quality art and furnishings. Note that the house isn't kid- or pet-friendly. If you will be traveling with young children, please reach out to us and we will provide you with a more specific description of why we feel that the property is unsuitable.

The city of Mill Valley is small (14,000 residents), but packed with services, entertainment, and boutique shops. The Smithsonian Magazine named it as the 4th best small town in America. There are several markets, including two Whole Foods and a farmers market, a cinema, and a wonderful library. There are lots of great walking areas and redwood groves, and the house is right down the street from a park with free tennis courts, two baseball diamonds and a handball court.

Mill Valley is just north of the Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito, in Marin County at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais. The mountain bike was invented right here by cyclists who wanted to climb that mountain. It's easy to get to San Francisco by car, by bus, or by ferry from Sausalito. - "Beautiful Home w/Lush Gardens We loved our stay in Mill Valley. There are multiple different beautiful outside gardens, large & small, very inviting, with lovely outdoor seating, lighting, and an amazing sound / speaker system. We loved that! We were able to entertain our friends very comfortably and do plenty of dancing outside. The kitchen is totally workable, with super high end equipment. In the rest of the house, there is quite a lot of artwork, paintings, ceramics, sculptures . . . so I don't recommend this home if you have little children. There is a large room in the front that can serve as an office / studio if you are working remotely, with a big walk in closet for storage. The one thing that you should know is that there is really just one true bedroom, the other is a small room with a skylight, a bed, a tv, and pocket doors (no windows). I couldn't really tell this from the photos. There is also a sleeping nook off the kitchen, but with a curtain instead of a wall, so it's not at all private. We had a wonderful time here and the walk to town is very quick, with nice restaurants and coffee places. The host leaves very detailed instructions, information, and tips. Welcome to our tropical oasis right here in Mill Valley! We are renting our beautiful home-- 3 bedrooms ( king, queen & full beds with Italian linens) & 2 full baths. There are two outdoor living spaces, the first of which is off the great room through French doors that includes a sectional, fire table, barbecue, and sculptural water feature. The second, off the master suite, includes the hot tub, seating area, a fire pit and large waterfall, surrounded by lush gardens. Both outdoor areas are tranquil, illuminated by string lights creating a serene ambience in the evenings. There are 2 indoor gas fireplaces, 2 fire pits, a propane grill, a FULLY stocked gourmet kitchen with extra space, hi-speed internet (Eero system), a Japanese whirlpool soaking tub in the master bath, parking (5 off-street plus street parking) & hot tub!!! There is also a detached TV room and office space with large sectional, coffee table, and desk. Our home is available from April 1st. This is our family home, meticulously cared for, offering you a warm respite and retreat. We have a quiet, long-term tenant downstairs with completely separate unit with its own private entrance. The Bunkhouse sits on a spacious, historic property that was once a dairy farm dating back to the late 1800s — a rare find in Mill Valley, especially so close to San Francisco. You’ll notice several cottages on the land, including your hosts’ private residence nearby should you need anything during your stay.

If you need additional space, ask about The Cottage, another listing located on the upper level of the property. With lovely views and room for four more guests, it can be booked together with The Bunkhouse (based on availability) — perfect for families or groups traveling together.

Access & Parking
• The Bunkhouse is single-level with no steps, offering easy access.
• Parking for multiple cars is available directly in front of the home.
• Access is via a gravel driveway, which can be a little uneven. Because outdoor lighting is limited at night, we recommend arriving before dark when possible.
• Street parking is also available at the top of the property if preferred.

Note: From time to time, staff may access the lower property near the beekeeping area/sports shack. This means a car may occasionally drive by and gear may be packed. It’s not common, and thanks to the size of the property, it generally goes unnoticed.

Comfort & Climate
The Bunkhouse has been recently remodeled with energy-efficient HVAC heat pump systems in the living room and both bedrooms. Fans and space heaters are also available upon request for extra comfort.

Cell service may be spotty inside the home, so you may need to move around to find the best reception.

Organic Property & Surroundings
We proudly maintain the property organically — no harmful pesticides are used, indoors or out. This helps protect the land, the pollinators, and your health during your stay.
• A beekeeping apiary is nearby; you may also see gardeners tending the grounds.
• A beautiful grove of eucalyptus trees surrounds the home and naturally sheds leaves. While we do our best to keep the decks and furniture clear, please expect a little leaf debris as part of the natural setting.

• Bedrooms feature cozy beds with goose down duvets and pillows (hypoallergenic pillows available on request).
• A main entryway closet is available for hanging items; bedrooms have bureaus rather than full closets.

Fully rebuilt in 2018, this thoughtfully updated cottage features energy-efficient radiant floor heating — a cozy and eco-friendly alternative to traditional systems. For warmer days, the living room is equipped with air conditioning, and additional fans or space heaters are available to ensure your comfort year-round.
Based on California building code, we are required to have a humidity sensor in the bathroom. The bathroom fan is controlled by a humidity sensor, so it automatically turns on whenever the moisture level goes above 50%. It’s designed to run on its own and can’t be manually turned off.

The Property
Set on a peaceful, multi-acre property, the cottage shares the land with a beekeeping apiary located on the lower acreage. From time to time, you may see gardeners working around the grounds.

The host lives in a separate home on the property and is nearby if you need anything during your stay.

This cozy small bedroom with S. Francisco and Mt.Tamalpais views is a bright, clean room with a full-size bed, a private full bathroom, and a free carport. The room is close to our bedroom. Our home is only a minute's drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. Also, it takes ten minutes to drive to Mill Valley downtown, where one can enjoy good restaurants and theaters. Walking distance to the park, walk/running paths, restaurants, and public transportation. You will love it! Thanks!

We are on a quiet street at the top of a small hill with views of Mt. Tamalpais. It is a short walk down the hill to catch a bus, which is also near the stop for the Marin Airporter, which will take you to SF airport. We are close to the Sausalito and Tiburon ferry. Also, we have a private full bath with tub and shower and free Wi-Fi.

Nestled at the base of ring mountain, located in the perfect spot for hiking, biking, exploring or just relaxing, this room offers a comfortable, quiet space and easy access to all Mill Valley and Marin have to offer. The room is equipped with essentials such as a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress, en suite bathroom, TV (with Roku), wardrobe, desk/workspace, windows, mini fridge, microwave, fresh towels, ample parking, Wi-Fi, and a book shelf with books.

This room is ideal for one or two occupants looking for an accessible and central Mill Valley location. We are conveniently located right off the 101, but not so close as to hear traffic noise. We're also near by a stop for the Marin Airporter (a direct shuttle to/from SFO airport). If you are not planning to have a car during your stay our home also has prime access to a bus stop which can take you to SF, or other parts of Marin. Another great (and beautiful) way to get to the city is to take the ferry from Larkspur or Sausalito across the Bay.

To fully enjoy the opportunity of being in this piece of paradise, 16 minutes from the Golden Gate Toll Plaza, be prepared to energetically relax. The Deck room is below our kitchen and living room, and sounds/noise can travel easily. we tend to be night owls, so noise may be heard until 11pm on weekdays and later on weekends. if this may be an issue for you, we suggest booking a different space on our property called "the apartment". It is cozy and quirky, and is much more quiet. Feel free to look at that listing if that may be a better fit.

If you've been curious about tiny house RV living, here's your chance to experience it. "Jenny" (she arrived from Virginia) offers 120 square feet of cozy living space that you enter though a private garden. She's situated in the driveway of a quiet and safe residential block that I have called home for more than three decades.

She is 8-by-13 feet, 13 feet high in the kitchen/dining area, 6-foot-9 inches high in the bathroom and living area. You will need to be able to climb a ladder to access the sleeping area, so it is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility, sorry. Also, the loft is 34 1/2 inches from the peak to the top of the mattress—if you are claustrophobic or plus-sized or both, it might feel tight for you.

She features a full-size shower, a dry toilet, a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishes/utensils, A/C/heater, and a cozy sitting area with Moroccan poufs.

A weather-proof locked storage unit can hold luggage and other items safely to free up space in the tiny house during your stay.

Please note that the nightly fee includes the City of Mill Valley's 10 percent transient occupancy tax and 2 percent tourism tax, which means you'll be staying in a unique property in Southern Marin for under $100 a night—that is very hard to find.

Please note this space is NOT safe for children under age 8 as the ladder is steep and there is no railing on the sleeping loft area, and not appropriate for your beloved furry friend. No animals, even service animals, for the safety of my tenant and other people who live on the property. My unit is not ADA compliant. If you are attempting to travel with an emotional support animal, you must provide me with proof from a licensed healthcare professional who will state why you need their emotional support animal to support their specific disability. This must occur before booking, thank you.

Make yourself at home in my lush, private lower garden just outside the tiny house (this is a shared space). Relax on the generously sized hammock and enjoy a meal, cup of coffee or glass of wine around the outside teak dining table or on the Adirondack chairs. The upper garden is private and off limits. (If you are walking up a sloped concrete walkway and stairs, you are in the wrong spot!)

Other things to note
This is an eco-friendly home. I provide biodegradable, plant-based personal and cleaning products. I don't include plastic bags to line the garbage can, but I can provide you with a paper bag if you'd like.

The toilet is a dry toilet, meaning your waste is collected in bags not unlike diapers. It should last for 12 to 15 flushes. If for some reason it doesn't flush, please do NOT replace the bag; it probably just needs to have the plugs tightened. Please don't hesitate to call/text if there's a problem—I am usually around and can solve the problem ASAP.

Recycling of glass, aluminum, paper and food is available — cans are clearly marked of what goes where, so please recycle whatever you can. If you are recycling food, please take it out of any container/bag. If you are recycling canned/bottled beverages, please pour out all liquid first.

Please be mindful that California is in a severe drought; limiting showers to 5 minutes or under would be much appreciated (also, the small water heater won't be too hot much past that).

Please help conserve precious energy by NOT running the heater/air conditioning when you are not in the tiny house. Thank you!

It is quiet amongst the Redwoods, with ample on street parking and is very close to San Francisco, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, downtown Mill Valley, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Sausalito, Tiburon, bike paths and mountain bike trails.

Our guests access the space from a set of stairs completely separate and on a different street than the main house, (pictured in the listing photos). The address is 169 Stadium Avenue. There is ample free on-street parking across the street from the studio. Street parking is shown in photo 21.

Other things to note
As noted in our listing, our airbnb is a lower unit. We have two small elderly 8 pound dogs, whose paws you may hear occasionally during the day. They sleep most of the time. My husband and I live upstairs and are very quiet; however, as is true with many hotels and apartments, you may hear occasional light foot steps or a shower running. There is no kitchen and therefore no kitchen sink. We have priced our space accordingly. Everything in the space is pictured. Our space is very nice, very clean, has lovely bedding, is spacious and private, with a separate entrance and separate outdoor area. We are very responsive, kind and truly love hosting our guests! We hope you enjoy it!

Mountain biking nearby and kayaking tours of the bay available in Sausalito. 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Sausalito - explore stores in charming downtown Mill Valley, or walk by the bay on the Sausalito marina. Seeing is believing. You will prefer a vehicle to get to the main road, if you don’t want to walk a mile and a quarter to Miller Ave., main street in Mill Valley, for public transportation. I am always available by text, when we arrange times together, I am there according to agreement. The Tower room is above our living room, and sounds/noise can travel easily. we tend to be night owls, so noise may be heard until 11pm on weekdays and later on weekends. if this may be an issue for you, we suggest booking a different space on our property called "the apartment". It is cozy and quirky, and is much more quiet. Feel free to look at that listing if that may be a better fit.

8. 📲 Communication: Handled only through the Airbnb app and person-to-person so be sure to download the app before your travel.

In walking down the main staircase to beautiful hardwood floors to the full-kitchen and open living room space with 30-foot ceilings. Natural light fills the living room, which features a fireplace mantel (flat screen TV) and 20 foot doors that open on to a balcony with an outside dinning table and chairs with views of Mount Tamalpais. Recessed lightings highlight the granite countertops in the kitchen (private) that has GE refrigerator, gas range, hood and dishwasher provide the necessary tools for the most decimating chef. Ideal space for any person or couple that enjoys the comforts of cooking but also likes the convenient of having many a restaurants just a short walk away.

I do not provide coffee (have a coffee maker) and tea for the morning (everyone likes something different...) I can recommend several local cafes and restaurants nearby that you will love. I'm less than a 1 minute walk to Starbucks, 3 minutes to Whole Foods, and a short walking distance from dozens of fabulous restaurants and downtown shopping and the location is just a 35 minute jaunt from the best Napa Valley wineries.

I prefer not to book 2-3 night reservations farther than one month in advance. If you need 4+ nights, you're welcome to submit reservations up to 2 months in advance. Please give me at least 48 hours in advance to book a reservation and get organized for you, I prefer not to book for one-night in order to eliminate high turn-over and traffic. The loft is not suitable for children.

You'll have a private entrance way (4 digit code) to the entire loft, kitchen, bathrooms, deck. living area to yourself. Please text me for your personal entry code the day of your arrival, or just call me directly. Chances are I'll be at the loft or in town to let you in. I will be (from time-to-time) in a separate room (locked door) to my private office. Please just call me if you need any assistance. My unique loft space in Mill Valley is all yours, enjoy!

Your can sit outside in the plaza and people watch with a beer or glass of wine. Starbucks is right next door to Safeway for a quick cup of coffee. Many restaurants locally have outside heaters.

The space
Savor sunrise and sunset from under the covers of this beautiful and thoughtfully designed studio. From the private deck, you have uninterrupted views of the San Francisco Bay (and sometimes the gorgeous blanket of fog that covers it), downtown Mill Valley, Angel Island, and glimpses of the city of San Francisco, historic Sausalito, and the Bay Bridge. Walk one minute down the redwood covered road from our home and you will run into some wonderful trails, including one to Cascade Falls and Tenderfoot trail. We are also minutes from the “Steps, Lanes, and Paths” trails that connect to the Dipsea trail. If you are adventurous, you can hike to Muir Woods from here. We are a 5 minute drive (up a narrow, windy yet safe road) and a 20-25 minute walk from downtown Mill Valley.

The studio features a living area which doubles as the sleeping area. The studio is cozy, so it is likely best for solo travelers or two people who don’t mind sharing close quarters. The studio is on the lower level of a two-story property and requires the ability to navigate two flights of stairs.

The bedroom features semi-opaque (not light blocking) privacy shades, and beautiful and carefully curated vintage fabric art from our personal collection. There is a mini fridge, a microwave (we provide compostable plates, forks, and spoons), a Nespresso coffee maker with a variety of Lavazza coffee pods, and an electric tea kettle, complete with a variety of teas, sugar, creamers, and compostable to go cups with lids. There is a private attached bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. There is also a large closet space to store your belongings. Please inquire about bringing a young child; we can provide a pack n' play for a $20 fee.

You also have access to a long deck that runs the length of the studio on the bottom floor that only you will have access to during your stay. There is a small table and chairs on this deck for you to enjoy the outdoors. There is also a larger deck on the upper level of the property (the level we live on) with a large table and chairs with excellent views that you are free to enjoy. It is quite private and we do not use this area when we have Airbnb guests.

There are many trees, plants, and often wildlife surrounding the studio. We are in the thick of nature up on our hill! Thus, you may hear deers or raccoons traipsing through the underbrush at night, hear an owl hooting as you cozy up for the evening, or spot the occasional spider seeking refuge from a foggy day. You should be comfortable with nature and all it has to offer in order to be most comfortable in our space.

*Please note*: There is a windy road up the side of our hill that you must drive to reach our place, so if you’re afraid of heights, this may not be for you. However, the road is newly paved and perfectly safe. You may also hear us moving around upstairs, and generally be aware of our presence. We try to keep noise to a minimum, often leaving the house for most of the day or staying in another part of the house if we are home so the noise overhead the studio is dampened. There is a sound machine and individually packaged earplugs available for you if needed. While we welcome young children, and offer a pack n' play for a small fee, please be aware that our home has many stairs and decks, some without complete railings. Please use your best judgment when considering bringing a small child to our studio.

The apartment is located in a walkable flat area, but also steps away from great hiking and biking. There is plentiful free and safe parking on the street.

The space
NEWLY RENOVATED!! This comfortable 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 people. It contains 1 queen bed, and 1 double bed in a fold out couch. It has a full kitchen with an outside deck. The deck overlooks a yard that other full-time tenants have exclusive use of. The bathroom has a shower only.

It's located two blocks from beautiful Downtown Mill Valley. Mill Valley is only 15 minutes north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. The quaint town offers gourmet restaurants, the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club, cafes, shopping, trail heads and a movie theater. A walkable flat area, but also steps away from great hiking and biking. Plentiful free and safe parking on the street. You can't beat the location.

It's perfect for parents visiting their children or grandchildren in the area, or for wedding guests attending the Outdoor Art Club. A pack and play crib is available upon request. With nice linens, plush towels, it's much more welcoming and homey than a hotel room.

Easy driving access to San Francisco sightseeing, to beautiful Marin scenery and wildlife. 15 minute drive (or 2.6 mile hike) to the Muir Woods National Monument, old growth redwood forest and to beautiful Muir Beach. It's only a 5 minute drive to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area hiking trails, including Tennessee Valley Road trail, where an easy 1-3/4 mile hike takes you to the beach. Mountain biking is nearby and kayaking tours of the Bay are available in Sausalito. It's an 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Sausalito where you can eat a meal by the water or stroll by the Bay on the Sausalito Marina. There are ferries to San Francisco leaving from Sausalito and Larkspur.

A 45 minute drive takes you to wine country in Sonoma or Napa, or to the Point Reyes National Seashore.

The unit is on the ground floor (no stairs) of a 2 story, 3 unit building. It has a private entrance.

There is a family living upstairs so expect to hear footsteps above when they are home. There is also imited privacy between the deck and the adjacent yard if the other tenants are using the yard.

Tam, or down to Mill Valley, a quaint "Mill" town with lots of great restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, and a town square to soak up the sun and people watch. There is parking onsite and a short drive to additional trails.

The tiny house is next to the main house set to the back of the property. The side facing the main house has two windows, one in the kitchen, and the other in the shower. The main windows and natural light source are opposite the main house. Sitting on the couch looking out the tall windows gives you the feeling you are in the forest and you may be lucky at dusk an occasional fox or deer passes in front of the windows.

Sleeping in the lofts with the windows open, one hears the deers walking around and other creatures doing what they do at night - it is very peaceful.
