The Rufe House is located 5 miles from Stowe Village on 2 acres surrounded by farmland + a quiet wooded area. We are situated on a private drive with no thru traffic and a large well maintained backyard. High speed internet with WiFi, Comcast TV service and air conditioning is provided.

Our 4 bedrooms / two bath configuration can comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 adults with additional twin beds for children. The bedroom and bath arrangement is perfect for small groups as well as family gatherings. An assortment of games, puzzles, paperback books are welcome for our guests to use during their stay! A high chair and portacrib are available upon request.

FIRST FLOOR:
First floor has an open floor plan with a custom kitchen, dining area that opens to a 30 ft deck wrap around deck + private yard, a living room with fireplace, cathedral ceiling and exposed beams, master bedroom and a full bath with laundry area.
Our living room has a wood burning fireplace, cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, leather couches and a game table. The stairway to the second floor is an open stairway with a second floor balcony walkway that overlooks the living room. A 50" TV, high speed internet with WiFi, Comcast TV service as well as a DVD player are provided. We stock seasoned firewood and kindling in the basement for our guests to use.

Our custom kitchen has cherry cabinetry, tile floor and is stocked with high quality pots, pans, dishes and service ware for 12 guests. Our guests will find that is easy to prepare everything from holiday meals to outdoor BBQ's. Coffee maker, 4 slice toaster, toaster oven, microwave, slow cooker, large electric fry pan, blender, Cuisinart food processor, electric mixer, roasting pans etc are provided as well as basic kitchen supplies. Basic supplies provided : spices, paper products (napkins, paper towels), cleaning supplies, dish soap, dish washer detergent, kitchen wraps, trash bags, coffee filters, sugar, flour, etc. We do not provide coffee.
Our dining area has a custom table that seats 12! Perfect for dining as well as for playing games or making puzzles! The dining area opens to our 30' deck. During the warmer months an outside dining table with umbrella and chairs is provided. A Weber Gas grill is available on the deck year round.

The first floor has master bedroom has a queen bed, a set of bunk beds and a 32" TV. The first floor bath has a tub with shower, safety grab bar and a single vanity. Each of our bathrooms has abundant towels, a hairdryer, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, shampoo and bath soap. Adjoining the first floor bathroom is a laundry area with full size washer, dryer, extra towels + linens. Laundry detergent is provided

SECOND FLOOR: There are three bedrooms and a second bath with double vanity, shower and linen closet on the second floor.
Two bedrooms on the second floor have a double bed and one twin bed. The third bedroom on the second floor has a queen bed and one bunk bed. Extra blankets , linens and pillows are provided in each bedroom.
The second floor bath has a shower, linen closet and a double vanity. Towels, hairdryer, shampoo, bath soap, toilet paper and cleaning supplies
are provided in each bathroom.

For your convenience seasoned firewood + kindling are stacked in the basement. There is also a workbench in the basement for tuning skis/bikes
Our home is immaculately maintained and is cleaned in accordance with CDC guidelines for health and safety.

- "Beautiful home! Wonderful location. Just barely 5 minutes from the center of town. Wonderful communication with hosts. Very kind people that truly cared about our experience. Easy 10 minutes to the mountain (if no traffic). Master bedroom was a dream, fabulous mattress, great white linens, beautiful claw tub perfect for a soak after the mountain. We typically stay at Edson Hill, this house was the same price and so much more. Gourmet kitchen with every appliance you could possibly need. Great for a big group or couple. Will stay again for sure!!!!!"

Adjacent to the property are hiking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking trails.Within walking distance from the house is the Sterling Gorge (an amazing place to hike, or just enjoy the waterfalls), the VAST trail, the Catamount Trail, and the Sterling Forest mountain bike trails. The house is an 8 minute drive from the village of Stowe where you can enjoy farm to table dining, unique arts and crafts and shopping. 20 minutes from the Mountain Resort- take the back roads and skip the downtown traffic. Close to Stowe center restaurants, movies, shopping etc.

- "We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous property. There were so many positives about this home. The gorgeous design, clean aesthetic, beautiful outdoor area, and plentiful towels! (loved all of the extra towels available!). The only thing I would change would be full house a/c or central a/c or more additional a/c units added to the home (which I know is only needed a short time out of the year)... unfortunately we were there in the summer when it was H-O-T! Overall, we loved our stay in Stowe. Don't hesitate booking this property... it's beautiful! P.S. - Highly recommend Trapp Family Bierhall for their delicious food & super tasty beer!"
