Sub-training, basement apartment in Morgan, Vermont, with 3 Bedrooms, two bathrooms, living area, Kitchenette, and Gym. One bedroom has two queen beds that could sleep 4, another bedroom has a queen that can sleep 2, and a 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and a twin on top, sleeping up to 3. 9 Total people could sleep here, but six would be the most comfortable. The entire basement is yours. There is no access to the main house above. There is no access to the garage area as well.

This home is literally on the VAST Snowmobile Trail 2001! Currently, you can't go south to Island Pond, but you can go west towards Derby ( to access Island Pond, travel north/west on 2001, then take 2001c to trail 111.) Also, the groomer parks/lives at the house (not for guest use).

- "IT WAS GREAT. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!" - "amazing place!" - "The lake house is in a perfect location along the lake. The scenery is beautiful and the house is stocked so that you really only need to bring food and clothes. The owner is readily available if there are any problems but does not intrude. He did call the first full day we were there just to make sure that everything was perfect. Which it was! There is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom across from it. It was perfect for my parents who are in their 70s. There was a shower with a low entry which was great for my dad. My husband and 3 sons were able to fish from the dock or go out in a kayak or canoe to fish in the deeper waters. My youngest was the luckiest at catching fish, much to the dismay of his older brothers. Mark had a separate floating dock that we were able to paddle board out to and jump into the deeper water. There were passing rain showers and one thunderstorm but there were enough board games and activities in the game room to keep the boys entertained. When they got tired of being out on the water or fishing there were plenty of yard games to play as well. There was a fire pit for making s'mores or just to sit around at night talking. There is also a pizza oven with instructions on how to make the pizza. It tasted like it was from a professional pizza oven. There was a lot of laughing throughout the week. Mark's house is a must stay location!"

Follow the spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom and sink into the luxurious linens of the queen-sized platform bed. While Bear Cub Cabin caters especially to natural views and experiences, we have installed a SmartTV in the loft bedroom in case you want to spend a rainy day relaxing with your favorite shows. A JVC Bluetooth speaker is onsite if you find yourself in need of some tunes. And the high-speed Starlink WIFI is robust if you need to take a Zoom call (although we hope you don't!) The brand new mini-split AC/Heating unit will keep the temperature right where you like it. For extra ambiance enjoy the gorgeous gas log heat stove.

**A full-size 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must for snow and mud seasons. The last 3 miles of the trip to Bear Cub Cabin are a gravel road. The road and the driveways are well maintained and regularly snow plowed but can get tricky at times with snow and ice conditions.

- "A wonderful property, secluded in the forests of northern Vermont. We stayed during the summer. The property is exactly as advertised. It is perfect for those seeking a quiet getaway. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there are fantastic farm-stands in the area to supply yourself with local produce, eggs, etc. There are also some great restaurants in the surrounding villages. Try The Inn at Burklyn for a fancy splurge, or The Burke Public House for seriously good pub food. We enjoyed a quiet weekend of reading on the front porch, board games, and star-gazing from the top deck. For something off-beat, we recommend a day excursion to The Museum of Everyday Life and The Bread + Puppets Museum. Parker Pie House is a great stop for lunch in the area. We also recommend Next Trick brewery, which is only a few miles down the road. If you're coming from the south, and enjoy baking, a stop at the King Arthur campus in Norwich is an absolute must. Overall a wonderful experience that will rejuvenate busy lives. Justin + Grace"

- "Very clean property - plenty of space and nice layout. We LOVED the HUGE backyard including the little river at the back property edge. Beds are comfortable. Lots of windows which we loved. Heads up - if you like to cook and are particular about things - the stove top is just ok and the knives are basic. That may not be an issue for many people so please dont let that be a reason to avoid this property. Owner/host is super nice and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again."

Relax on a the covered deck while you sip your morning coffee and watch the loons sing or watch the family of ducks swim by. If you are lucky enough you may even get a glimpse of a bald eagle. This home is just minutes away from the VAST trail or during the summer you can zip along the ATV trails as well. We are five minutes from town on the otherside of the pond just by state beach. You can attend the states beach or enjoy this properties small beach and dock. Very private property with no neighbors on either side!!

We were two couples and had complete privacy with our own bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was very well stocked and we all commented on how nice everything was. I guess my only complaint would be the king size bed in the primary suite was very very firm and it was like sleeping in a board. A memory foam topper would remedy that quickly. We may rent it again, but the king bed being hard may be a deal breaker. My husband and I were very uncomfortable in that bed. Other than that all was great. "

Discover the beauty of Island Pond from this brilliant 2 story, 4-bedroom 3 full bath Log Cabin located in the mountains on 34 acres, This area is considered the Snow Mobile Capitol of the North East Kingdom. Sit on the patio and enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains. You might get lucky and catch a glimpse of some white tail deer, black bears or turkeys. Construction was completed in December of 2024.

For snowmobiling enthusiasts and ATV riders the VAST and VASA trails are accessible by dirt road less than a mile away. You can ride your machines right into town to have dinner or do a little shopping. In the winter months enjoy a wide array of snowmobile trails that can lead into Canada and New Hampshire. In the spring, summer and fall, bring your mountain bike and hiking boots and explore the miles and miles of the Kingdom Trails.

Burke Mountain is just 20 minutes away where you can ski, snowboard and mountain bike. Burke offers many midweek discounts for riders, Jay Peak is about 60 minutes away and seems to get the majority of snowfall the last few years. This mountain is much bigger with many more trails and lifts. There is also an indoor water park with swimming pools and hot tubs. Great restaurants are there with entertainment and many different activities for the all ages.

In the Spring and Summer months you can access the VASA trails for ATV riding. There are 2 main access points direct from the cabin by dirt roads. You can even ride your ATV right into town. There you can also access many more ATV trails. The Kingdom Trails at Burke mountain is a main attraction for mountain biking and hiking.

THE CABIN

With a king size bed, 2 full beds, a full size bunk bed with twin bed offers plenty of space for up to 9 guests. Plenty of room for extra blowup mattress in downstairs bedroom. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere and modern amenities including: fully equipped kitchen with island seating, pantry, dining room, family room with 70 inch tv , washer dryer, charcoal grill and outdoor fire pit.

The game room has a ping pong table, foos-ball, darts and ring toss games. Game room also has a cozy sitting room area with another large flat screen tv, dvd and VHS player. There are a large variety of both DVDs and VHS tapes. Some board games are there as well. An electric fireplace is located in the game room to add a little warmth on the cold chilly nights.

The walkout basement leads right to front yard sledding fun for big and little kids with a few sleds available for your use. Covered parking for your snow machines and ATV vehicles is located under the deck. Heating is provided by a nice pellet stove located in the main family room, and radiant heated floors throughout the cabin. WIFI is included. via Starlink.

Brand new 16x20 storage garage for your snow machines and atvs. A very large fire pit is located in the rear of the house for your night under the stars. - "The location is great if you want to go snowmobiling; its very easy to get onto the VAST trail system from apartment. Unfortunately you need to leave your sled down in the back of the property, but its not very far. The interior of the apartment is very nice as was communicating with the rental agency. The only downside is that you can hear everything that is happening in the upstairs apartment. Every step that someone takes upstairs you can hear and can easily hear people talking as well. "
