It’s easy to find and local stores and restaurants are all close by.

Please be aware that the house is literally right next to the main road so you will hear traffic noise, do not book knowing this and then leave a review about the location. There are neighbors on both sides next door. If you are looking for a private place in the woods, do not book this place.

You will be able to hear the calming sounds of the Connecticut River, which is just across the street (unfortunately, there is not an actual view of the river because there are trees bordering the river)

Rustic, off-grid, solar powered, 30 year old, log cabin with direct trail access for snowmobiles and 4-wheelers. Cabin sits on private 25 acres bordering NH state land. Located within a mile of downtown Pittsburg and Lake Francis. Sleeping loft is accessed by spiral staircase that has one full and 2 twin beds. Sleeper sofa on the main floor. Bath is also located on the main floor. Kitchen is well equipped. On-demand generator starts up automatically for those cloudy days if the solar batteries get depleted.

Enjoy the stars away from lights as you sit by the fire pit and being at your own private camp with no neighbors in sight. When not out enjoying Clarksville and the surrounding area, stay in and curl up to a good book or enjoy some of the games and puzzles provided. There are even a few toys for the kids. The space
Both bathrooms feature shower only (no tubs) and are stocked with fresh clean towels and complementary all-natural soap made by the host.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the basics so you can save money by cooking at home. Besides the oven and stovetop there is also a microwave, toaster & coffee maker.

The property is located on a working tree farm with miles of trails for hiking and ATV's and has magnificent views. There are no close neighbors and little traffic, it is the perfect place for those looking to get away. If peace and tranquility are what you're looking for, you will find that here.

The downstairs floor has one bedroom with a full bed, a bathroom with laundry, and a twin bed located in an open area with an art table in case you need to keep your kids entertained.

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom which features a queen bed, the third bedroom also features a queen bed; all bedrooms include at least one extra pillow for your comfort. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and feature an open concept with high ceilings and exposed beams. It is a lodge style home with an Olde New England look and feel, it is very charming and cozy. The second floor also features the dining area, a bar with stools at the peninsula, and an extra room that its' previous owner used as her painting room. She was a local artist and crafter who painted and created lots of beautiful pieces, many of which still remain in the house for you to enjoy.

Other things to note
Pets under 50lbs are allowed, but no animals are allowed on the beds or sofas: there will not be any exceptions to this rule. You can bring a bed or blanket for you pet, I will have pet water and food bowls available. Please also bring a kennel for you pet and keep and eye on it if you know it's destructive.

Sugar Mountain View is surrounded by natural beauty in a cross cultural town at the tip of Vermont. Canaan, VT is the convenient crossroads of Canada, Vermont and New Hampshire. The bedroom mural is known as, "The Path to Sugar Mountain". This victorian home is across from the town common and historic public library. New Hampshire is two doors down. The balcony view looks into Canada. Excellent for the outdoor enthusiast or the remote worker, or both.

The space

The one bedroom features a double bed. The futon in the living room is exceptionally thick and soft. One bathroom with a stand in shower. Washer and dryer included in this second story apartment with private balcony.

The main entrance is a foyer. The foyer is a shared space with stairs that lead to the private entrances of Apartments, 2, 3 and 4.

There are two entrances to Sugar Mountain View. The main entrance through the coat room and the secondary entrance directly into the bedroom.

Direct Trail access for Snowmobiles and ATV. Located on Vermont's Commerce trail. Which means you can ride from Vermont to New Hampshire's trail system without Vermont registration. Ride directly from the house on your machine and hop on NH trial system in Stewartstown near The Spa Restaurant or in Pittsburg near Hall Stream Rd.

Halfway between the equator and the North Pole, (45th Parallel) lies the wonderful town of Canaan Vermont where you will find this comfortable well equipped home to relax with the whole family and enjoy a peaceful place to stay.

The space
This house is located on Lake Wallace with its own private dock and beachfront. A firepit is available for relaxing nights in the backyard. A private deck provides a perfect place to watch the sunset or stars.

Inside you will find two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and a third bedroom with a king bed. An additional two queen sofa beds and a twin sofa loveseat add three more sleeping spaces. The two full bathrooms are available and stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap.

A full sized kitchen with electric stove top and oven make it easy to cook at home. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans and cookware you will need for a weekend or weeklong stay. Coffee maker with coffee also provided.

Updated appliances like washer, dryer, refrigerator, and portable dishwasher are all available to guests. TV and high speed Wi-Fi make this a home away from home. Easy to work remotely while on vacation.

Stores are located conveniently 10 minutes away in Norton and Canaan. Dining options and an IGA supermarket are just 20 minutes away in Colebrook, NH.

Pittsburgh, NH is roughly 30 minutes away and offers world class snowmobiling and ATV riding. VAST trails cross by about a mile down the road, making it easy to use the house as a base for winter adventure.

Skiing at Jay Peak and Sunday River is about an hour and 20 minutes from our location.

In the summer, go out on the lake for a swim or bring your own boat! Docking at the house is made easy with a metal pier and ramp.

Hiking trails can be found easily. 10 minutes away you will encounter the trailhead for an easy half mile walk up Averill Mountain. The famous Dixville Notch is located just 30 minutes away. Hike less than a mile up to Table Rock for stunning views of The Balsams.

Sherbrooke, Quebec is located only 60 minutes away for an easy day trip to Canada. Montreal can also be reached in about 2 hours.

A BBQ grill is provided during summer months for guests.
