Centrally located in Middleboro, this 3 bedroom house on Woods Pond is in a private community. Enjoy the massively spacious out door space while you fish directly off your private dock in the water. Kayak the pond with 2 tandem kayaks provided. Enjoy breezy dinners on the elevated deck overlooking the pond. There is an Air Hockey table located just off the basement bonus room or the foosball table inside. A dedicated large office space fully equipped and minutes to MBTA 1 hour to Boston.

Located on Woods Pond, the large private lot gives you one thing most lake houses don't have, privacy. You are not packed with neighbors right on top of you. Plenty of room to stretch out. Be advised, this house requires a lot of climbing. It was built in the 1930's and the stairs to the bedrooms have a little lean to them and coming down the stairs, taller people may have to duck a little. The stairs going down to the basement are even steeper with more head clearance issues. But it's worth it. This place is a unicorn. So many different beautiful things on the 8,367 square foot lot. Getting down to the lake and back up to the house is approximately 2 stories.

We have created a public facebook page with the same name as a place for us to dump pictures other than listing pictures so you can get more of a sense of how it is to spend time there.

Take full advantage of the pond with 2 tandem kayaks provided. Easily convert to a single rider. Two inflatable rings to enjoy by the small beach area off one of the two lower decks. Enjoy beautiful sunsets by the fire while you swing gently away on the bench swing. There is also a single swing and tree swing over the water. Four life jackets are on site, two adult size and two children sized. Two fishing pools and some various gear are provided. There are 5 market umbrellas and many quaint areas to sit. The outdoor dining area has remote control lights from the house. A propane gas grille is also provided.

There is a higher end foosball table in the basement and an air hockey table in the shed located off the basement.

Although it looks like this house sleeps more than six, we have to cap the occupancy because of the septic system. We provide plenty of toilet paper, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent that is septic safe and we really need guests to use these items. Misusing or overusing the water or flushing things that don't belong in septics tanks run the risk of ruining your stay. It's imperative to be wastewater conscience here. For that reason, no extra guests or visitors are allowed for these reasons. Specific questions? Please ask promptly.

This sprawling complex has its limitations for people with limited mobility. The parking area to the house has no stairs and once you're in the house, the bathroom is on the main level. The pull out queen sofa bed uses a Bobopedic mattress. To get to the outdoor dining area is just 3 steps down and then one more step to flat ground. This would be the only scenario where people with limited mobility could be accommodated and still enjoy this amazing house.

There is space for 2 cars on each side of the house. The side with the heavy pitch (leads to basement door) is where the septic tank is, only use that space to park if absolutely necessary. There is absolutely no street parking.

This house is well water and passed board of health testing on April 24, 2024.

Better location, and better appointed, than we even expected. This lovely half house sleeps up to six guests very comfortably, with 2 bedrooms and a large private living room with queen trundle bed. There is a master bedroom with a queen bed and full closet. The large front room has a queen trundle for extra guests, along with two large lounge chairs, fireplace, library, and 52” flat screen television. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds with removable side boards for little ones to sleep and also a full closet. We provide a pack n play, high chair, and blow up mattress for little ones if needed. There is an equipped full kitchen with dining area. The full bathroom is divided into two separate bathrooms, a separate shower and dressing area in one bathroom and toilet with sink in the other. This way two guests can clean up at the same time, and still have plenty of privacy. The guests have a relaxing patio deck with gas grill for plenty of quiet time. This home was once a barn built in 1808 and sits across from the Little Jones River and Dennett Pond. The house is on a quiet street yet convenient to highways, restaurants and beaches. The front yard boasts the oldest black walnut tree in Massachusetts – it was here before the Pilgrims were!
Guests will have a key pad code to front door. Parking for 4 cars only unless private event booked separately. This is enforced especially due to snow plowing on roads in winter etc. The public walking trails can be accessed from the backyard or path just down the street just off the driveway past the river. Guests can take a meander through the back fields and down the trails if they wish. Kitchen also includes convection oven and stove top, microwave, coffee maker, tea pots and all the items for your cooking needs. Air conditioning in summer. WIFI password provided and Cable Television (includes HBO) included. The reservation is for you and your booked guests only and not for any additional guests. No dinner parties or other private events for those not booked with us unless approved by us and extra charges may apply. No working fireplaces and fire pits not permitted.
Mike or Jen can greet guests unless traveling. We are available and will always give our guests some history of the area and let them know exactly what places to visit after getting to know them and what their preferences are. Plympton has some hidden gems, Plymouth is very close by location and there is something to do for everyone all year round!

Check out the Sauchuk Corn mazes in the fall or the Farm to table dinners at Just Right Farm in the summer within the town. Down town Plymouth is just 15 minutes away.
We are also minutes from Duxbury, Kingston, Carver, Middleboro or Plymouth. Plenty of local beaches/restaurants/shopping, 1 hour from Boston, 5 minutes from the commuter rail into Boston, and 30 minutes from the Cape Cod Sagamore Bridge.
If you are looking to just get away and enjoy the nature trails yet be close to everything than this is the spot for you.

Spacious newly renovated 4BR house with pool! The house is a five to ten minute drive to the beach. Plenty of great local spots to eat nearby. Close to downtown Plymouth where there is a great night life!

Welcome to the 1707 house! - this isa classic cape cod style home built in 1707 by the Perkins family! Once a blacksmith's house in 1700s this house has only been owned by three families since it was built. This spot is surrounded by 20 acres of hay fields and rock walls.For many years it was a dairy farm. We now host weddings and many events along with still harvesting hay on these fields here!
The house has been lovingly restored and updated by Full Circle Homes - as seen on Houses with History - the blacksmith house. There are two kitchens (one smaller in-law kitchen sink area), two bathrooms, 2 bedrooms on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor, dining room and living room. Guests can book the entire house or pair it with the field and the Black Walnut house for the ultimate wedding weekend!

- "loved it! perfect for our needs" - "I, my husband, and several friends decided to make a weekend trip out of visiting the nearby King Richard's Fair. Several of us are history and/or antiquing buffs, so when I spotted this property I knew it would be right up our alley; I was not wrong--the old home features and unique furniture were a delight. It's located on a quiet road in a beautiful setting, with fields, a few ancient trees, and a distant pond to greet us while we sipped our morning coffee. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was a good size for all of us making big family meals together. We took a walk on the nearby trails, visited the town, and wound down the night to the evening chorus of crickets. Our only hiccup was that the two bathrooms are accessed through the bedrooms, so it meant a bit of extra planning on getting ready or heading to bed--but it was fine for our group. We would all happily stay here again!"

Location is convenient to getting to many places in the area. And make sure you get up to see the sunset at least once during your stay--truly beautiful. - "This lakehouse is on a beautiful plot and has a lot of potential, but the amenities are lacking. Aside from some wacky piecemeal construction inside, it was charming upstairs. But there seem to be potentially serious airflow and plumbing issues in the basement where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom: all three felt dank and smelly during our stay, and the shower and toilet both made a lot of noise as if not working properly, sometimes backing up into the sink. The interior of the house was surface level clean but outdoor areas and the walk out screen porch downstairs was dusty with leaves and cobwebs, as if the furniture stays outside all the time. Waterfront is nice and serene, great view! Would be a great place to launch kayaks or canoes if there were better stairs and walkways to the lake. This house is a good spot if you don’t mind a basic experience, bringing a few things, and don’t plan on cooking much, as the kitchen was ill-equipped and messy. We booked midsummer (peak tourism time I know) but even so it was definitely too expensive for the quality we experienced. Would be fine if you go in knowing what to expect or plan to go into town a lot, but could use some work to be a good vacation rental."
