Brand new renovation, located on the Westport River's east branch. This west facing charming 3 bedroom is perfect to enjoy sunsets. Close to beaches, the quaint Westport downtown, a brewery, winery and 10 minute drive to Dartmouth. This 3-bedroom house in Westport is perfect for your escape to relaxation. The yard is wonderful and spacious especially when little ones need to play off energy. With a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining room, delicious meals can be enjoyed at a table for 6. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the 2 upstairs bedrooms have full-size. All the bedrooms have A/C, but every afternoon around 4 or 5 the cooling breeze comes up the river, and makes the sitting on the patio a treat.

Find a quiet spot in the garden to read, or sit on the back yard patio in the morning enjoying coffee and birdsong.

There is a seafood market down the road where the freshest fish and shellfish can be bought to put on the gas grill. One can eat nothing but local fruits and vegetables from farm stands and farmers’ markets (when in season).

Kayaks and paddleboards can be rented across the road. Or you can bring your own to put in at the town landing there. The Head is an ideal place to start a bike ride. Westport has great roads and (mostly) polite drivers.

- "Much of what I would say has already been said by other reviewers. I would add that the hosting couple were very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with a senior who has mobility issues. The home offered a main floor bedroom and en-suite which worked perfectly for her...with an adjoining kitchen and living room with a TV. While you need to be fit to access the bedrooms on the top floor if you are travelling with someone with limited mobility these was a great choice for us."

- "Lovely Westport point home with fantastic views!!! Great restaurants within 25 minutes of this location. Little Compton, Tiverton, New Bedford all close by and Newport about 45 minutes away. A couple of highlights were the Sakonnet Gardens and the NewBedford harbor cruise. Owners of this home were wonderful to communicate with and I’m so happy that they decided to “share” their beautiful family home. The huge open concept livingroom/diningroom has cathedral ceilings, a ceiling fan and is great for family dinners and entertaining. The granite kitchen is open to the livingroom and the 3 bedrooms are all bright and clean. The two bathrooms have new floors, fixtures and lighting.. The master bedroom has an attached full bathroom with a new w/d. The wall of windows look out onto the deck with gas grill, and also look out to a huge backyard and a stone wall. An outdoor shower is great for after a sandy beach day. Walking 5 minutes down the private road you get to a picturesque bay with kayaks and sailboats. Lovely family neighborhood. A kayak is available to take serene rides on the Westport river just steps away. A 5 minute ride to spectacular ocean beaches. Nature preserves, great restaurants, horseback riding and movies, museums, malls, and minigolf are all a 10-20 minute ride away.

- "Great location!" - "We were in town for spring fest in tiverton. We wanted something that would make the baby feel like home, which this property did. It was the perfect size for the four of us. It was quiet and in a great location. Hoping to be able to rent this place yearly when we come back! " - "In town for the holiday weekend to attend a friend’s wedding. This house was adorable. The lot was lovely and quiet. We loved the rabbits and birds and were a bit sad we weren’t here later in the season to sample the raspberry/blackberries on site. We think grill would be really appreciated for that space.Kayla was very responsive and welcoming over text.There was a bit of a musty odor in the bathroom that came out into the rest of the house when windows were shut. We were disappointed to find the washer/dryer were out of order especially after getting soaked in a strong downpour while in Newport. The pull out couch in the second bedroom was not very comfortable and we were disappointed that it wasn’t an actual bed. There was also a rather loud gurgle noise coming from the basement at a constant rate which was concerning to start. We thought maybe a sump pump due to the rain.We never located the welcome binder. Overall it was a lovely space and reasonably priced for a holiday weekend. "

Great restaurants and oyster shack very close which was nice for a couple of our meals! Highly recommend this fun place. It was a great taste of Cape Cod history and culture! Swimming from the dock in the back yard, lobster roll restaurant steps away or a lobster boat selling fresh lobster when his “white flag with a lobster” is up also steps away. Cozy rooms, well equipped kitchen, an awesome dining room with a big farm table and a big wet bar - a professional 10 seat bar. Beautiful breeze throughout the house in the middle of a hot July. Air conditioners offered but not necessary for this weekend. A very typical New England / Cape Cod feel. We really enjoyed our stay - until the last 4 minutes... Check out was 11am. At 11:06 we were saying our good byes at the door when the innkeeper/owner, Brenda showed up. She never asked how our stay was and started to complain that we had used a table cloth on the farm table...? We explained we ate lobsters one night but had cleaned the table and had washed, dried and folded the table cloth and left on the cleaned table. She exclaimed "Who would eat lobster INSIDE? It STINKS!" she was bizarrely rude. And frankly we left the inn a little cleaner than we found it, Cleanliness is the weak spot of the inn, everything in kitchen needed to cleaned before use. She didn't even empty the fridge it was half full of her food..?!"

- "We stayed in this rustic house for an extended stay and Rita and Ashley were both outstanding hosts. Responsive to any questions in a timely and professional manner. The upstairs beds were extremely comfortable (we didn't utilize the downstairs bed so can't really comment). The kids loved the nook office area to play and do school work. It was also very convenient having an onsite washer and dryer. The location is on a main road which was surprisingly very quiet, but located just 2 minutes from a main access road for easy traveling. We are fourth generation lovers of Westport Point looking for someone to enjoy our home as much as we do while experiencing all the point has to offer: going to the beach, kayaking, canoeing or sailing, fishing, birding, hiking, wine and beer tasting, great seafood and music on the wharf, even square dancing. Refresh after the beach with an outdoor shower. Enjoy a covered veranda that runs the length of the 1840-built home, eat meals, lounge and read on the screened in porch, relax under a tree in the back yard, gather around the piano, or watch a movie on a 55 inch TV. Space to spread out--25'x25' eat in kitchen, 25'x30' living room, den upstairs and down.

The Swift's Nest is a guesthouse located on our 5 acre farm and garden in Westport just across the road from the Westport River. The guesthouse is located above our "honey room" where we store beekeeping equipment. It is accessed by a private exterior stairwell leading to a second story deck with amazing views of the farm and beyond. The guesthouse is private from the primary home and enjoys separate access from the road. Plenty of room for parking, including boat trailers. Easy trips to the beaches, boat ramps, conservation land, Buzzards Bay Brewery, Westport Rivers Winery and more. The studio apartment has one king bed. Additional sleeping arrangements for those traveling with children including porta-crib and child bedding available on request.

We named the guesthouse after the resident Swifts that live in the old chimney in the adjacent workshop. The farm is a birders paradise and a dream for wildlife enthusiasts. We encourage guests to tour our gardens and share in the bounty of flowers and food that we produce here for our family. Please note: this is working apiary, and we can have anywhere from 5 - 15 hives of honeybees at any given time. The honeybees are located about 150yards from the guesthouse, a safe distance for those who aren't inclined to be up close and personal with bees. We invite guest to exercise caution around the bees and keep their distance. If you're interested in the bees and want to take a closer look (or taste) please let me know and we can coordinate a tour.

Welcome to our summer cottage on historic Westport Point! Just minutes from Horseneck Beach, Westport Harbor, Buzzards Bay Brewing Co the Back Eddy restaurant, hiking trails and all that beautiful Westport has to offer.

Our cottage includes a spacious primary bedroom on the first floor with a full bath. Upstairs you'll find two additional bedrooms, one with a separate space with two twin beds which is great for kids. The upstairs guest rooms share a full bath and include window unit air conditioning. A well stocked kitchen, grilling equipment and an outdoor terrace make entertaining easy. Enjoy meals at the dining table with seating for six, or dine outside on the terrace. There is a large backyard for kids to play and beautiful sunset views in the evening.

Horseneck State Park is a short drive or bike ride. Horseneck is a beautiful sandy beach on the western most part of Buzzards Bay. It is great for swimming, fishing and bird watching. There is a paved bike trail that runs the length of the beach which is a great way to start the day.

Just beyond Horseneck, Gooseberry Island has a sandy beach, walking trails and gorgeous views that attract visitors to its rugged shores year round.

Newport and all it has to offer is just 40 minutes away.

Walk or bike down Main Road to historic Westport Harbor and enjoy oysters and lobster rolls at Westport Sea Farms. The Back Eddy restaurant is also on the harbor. Make sure to enjoy a One-Eyed Jake margarita on the Back Eddy's dock at sunset.
