Less than five minute walk to the subway. Free parking two blocks north on 2nd. Place was easy to find and get in to even though it was dark by the time we got there. We had one very minor issue that the owner was able to help us with quickly over the phone. There is a coffee machine but no Kuerig machine or French Press as was listed on the paperwork. Not a problem for me but my wife went to the Starbucks in the grocery store. Overall a great place to stay and would gladly stay there again if we come back to Philly."

I had to call the police to keep from being physically assaulted. After making it to the lobby, my door code was deactivated, my things were left in the lobby while I retrieved my vehicle, this unnamed man with zero affiliation to the host (to my knowledge) refused to open the door so I could retrieve my belongings, stealing 3 winter jackets, and several other miscellaneous items, laughing in my face the entire time. This room is perfect for short or long stays. Double closet, dresser, big desk, smart tv and a comfortable chair to relax. Bathroom is shared with one other bedroom, if occupied. The house is close to everything, located between Fishtown and Northern Liberties, making it easy to plan your visit. Next to the house there is a famous restaurant, Helm. Is an old house with charm but with all modern amenities. Kitchen is fully equipped, forced air central heating and window A/C unit.

This is my main residence but I travel a lot and appreciate the original ethos of how Airbnb first started. I am gone most weekends so you’d likely have the space to yourself or occasionally my brother Ellis comes in from NYC to crash. Your pup is welcome to join you! It is a great little cozy home in one of the best locations in Philly!

The space
Note well: my place is not pristine like a professionally run airbnb or hotel. It needs a paint job and a few other superficial updates. I keep it as clean as I can but it’s a dusty old home. Also, the stairs are typical of row homes in Philly, and are quite steep. It’s a weird layout with NO DOORS but still quite private. So if you’re weird about locked bedrooms, this is not the place for you. This is not a home for kids. I have all the conveniences you could want in this compact tiny home.

My home is in the heart of Northern Liberties. It’s a tiny row home with tons of charm. Easy walk to Fishtown and Old City. Walkable to many of the best restaurants and bars! If you’re bringing your pup, I’m located only a 5 minute walk to the best dog park in the city - Orianna Hill Dog Park.

You’ll have access to all spaces except the basement bedroom. Make yourself at home! Kitchen, patio, living/tv room.

During your stay
I’m gone on the weekends. My brother Ellis lives in NYC and has a guest bartending gig on the weekends and will be staying in the basement bedroom. You’ll likely hardly see him.

I’m available via text or calls and always happy to help guide you to some of my favourite spots nearby.

Other things to note
1. Please note that this is a quirky old home. The layout allows for privacy but the bedrooms do not have full doors. I have privacy curtains and I’ve had roommates and never had an issue with privacy. It’s just a weird quirk I want to call out in case you need/want a door that you can lock.

2. PARKING - there is only street parking. I can order a day pass from the city. Due to the limitation of how many passes I am allowed to order, I can't promise these. I regret the add-on charge but I've been burned too many times with cancellations and people losing the passes. This is a $20/day charge that I will request after you book. I also regret that it is not refundable even if you cancel (the city does not refund me)

3. My home is not great for kids. The stairs are steep and nothing is kid-proof. If you are comfortable with this, I am happy to host you and your children. Just want to call it out.
