It was pretty spotty, and even our cell phones struggled to get a signal. However, I can’t hold that against the property managers since it seemed to be a general area issue. Even our cell phones were struggling! While our almost-tweens weren’t thrilled at first, it gave us a chance to unplug for the weekend, which was a pleasant surprise!The listing also seemed fairly new, as the kitchen had minimal accommodations. The Firefly Cottage is a cozy guest cabin set at the back of our wooded 8 acre property. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the slow pace and simple pleasures of living in the country; don’t worry though, we do have great WiFi!

Take in the fresh country air on the inviting porch or relax in the screened-in back patio while you sip coffee and listen to the birds sing.

Feel free to use the fire pit in front of the cabin. It is a great way to enjoy a relaxing evening under the incredible night sky!

The space
The living space is cozy with reading materials, board games, and a smart tv where you can stream your favorite shows using your streaming apps.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has a Keurig for your morning coffee needs. The cabin has a pack n play as well as two twin beds with a twin trundle under each. The master has a king bed with closet and dresser.

The laundry room is located off of the back screened-in porch.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk around our acreage. (We have a map posted on the fridge that outlines the property boundaries).

Feel free to check out the Coop-A Cabana where our free range chickens hang out at night. Let us know if you would like some farm fresh eggs! We also have two bunnies that always love a good carrot.

Please keep in mind that our family lives on site and we homeschool so you may see a kid or two running around collecting things for a science project or enjoying PE time in the yard.

The guest cabin is about 200 yards behind our main home nestled in a grove of trees.

Other things to note
We have a big, loving dog, Jasper, that we adopted from the animal shelter. He came to us after being rescued from a neglectful situation in which he lost a back leg. He is thrilled to meet new people and just wants some good snuggling and kisses!

Please note that this property is located in a rural Arkansas area. Although we have regular pest control, a variety of indigenous insects, spiders, ticks, etc do exist. We try hard to keep critters and poison ivy away, but please be on the lookout when walking through wooded areas.
