2. Our property does NOT allow smoking. If evidence of smoking is discovered, a $250 fee per day will be assessed.

3. There are 8 OUTSIDE cameras to protect our home when we aren't around and for the safety of our guests.

4. No hunting, shooting, ATVs, or Dirt Bikes on the property.

5. No fireworks

6. While our pool does have a door with a lock, there is a cover that can be used for safety of little ones. This is available upon request.

7. Our pool is a concrete/salt water pool and is more abrasive than a pool with a liner.

8. Keep in mind because our home is somewhat secluded and parts of the property are wooded you may see/hear LOTS of wildlife!

Bucher House is located in downtown Hanover within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants, pubs, and boutique shops. Also, 30 minutes to Gettysburg, and an hour from Baltimore's inner harbor, Lancaster County Amish community, or Hershey PA. Bucher House was built in 1828 and contains many period antiques with modern amenities. Please note: This property is located in downtown Hanover and like many row houses, built very close to the main street through town. While this presents many advantages of being close to downtown activities and attractions, it also has some degree of regular street noise. If you are a rather light sleeper, this property may not be suitable. However, 93% of customer reviews do not find this an issue.

The suite is a 2nd floor, large one bedroom apartment above a law firm. The living quarters is accessed via a private 1st floor entrance, with Smart entry. The entrance hallway is ideal for storing bikes, golf clubs or muddy shoes. A wide staircase leads to the 2nd floor living space and the living room/dining room. The living room has a queen size sleeper-sofa. The living/dining room is highlighted by 10' ceilings and 3 large windows facing the front of the building and a large stained glass window. Separating the living room and bedroom is a large, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. The bedroom is also accentuated with 10' ceilings and 2 large windows. To the rear of the bedroom is the bathroom, laundry and large walk-in closet.

The bed is comfortable. This is an upstairs unit, as described in the listing, so that should be noted by anyone with mobility issues. Also, the living room is off of a staircase open to the first floor hallway (which can be used by law firm employees, etc) so that might be a little odd if you plan to utilize the sleeper sofa. We didn't find it to be a concern, however, when using the living room. The host provided great communication and truly cared about our stay. The location was great for us. Although on a busy street, the traffic was light in the evenings and early mornings so noise was not an issue when sleeping. This apartment is fully renovated and furnishedwith new pieces. It is located on the ground floor of a private home, with its own covered exterior entrance. Luxury vinyl flooring in every room, seperate heating and cooling zone and plenty of natural light. The bedroom has a queen bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a tall dresser, reading chair and a large walk in closet with drying rack and hangers. Tinted windows and blackout shades, curtains and a ceiling fan make the room comfortable day or night.

The fabulous unit has a custom white kitchen with a large island, granite counters and a coffee machine . The living area comes with a wall mounted 50'' TV and a gas fireplace. We can’t wait to welcome you to our summer house. This secondary building exists adjacent to our main home along a brick pathway nestled on 100 acres in a valley in south central PA. We rehabbed a 150 year old summer house (commonly used for cooking during summer months prior to homes having proper ventilation) and turned it into a modern bedroom suite

While on site you can use the pool (May-Sept). (Generally and weather permitting)

You can wander the farm (please be aware this is a working farm and seeing a tractor and minding the electric fences are common place.) We will keep the spaces safe for you, but you need to be responsible for your own safety as well.

All other out buildings, barn, gated animal yards and main house are closed to visitors but we will be available to help you if needed


We are located just outside Codorus State Park, near the rail trail, Stone Mill wedding venue, and other destinations like Gettysburg and Baltimore and less than an hour away.

Other things to note
Our property inside and out is a non smoking, vaping or tobacco products and drug free facility. While we love animals, other pets are not permitted on the property.

Due to the age of the building our space has three step for access. It is not wheelchair accessible.

Nestled at the base of South Central Pennsylvania's rolling hills; experience the true relaxation that comes from staying in a historic pre-civil war farmhouse set on a serene 19 acre personal private golf course housing two ponds and a creek. Guests are permitted access to golf course. Centrally located at 30 minutes from Gettysburg square, 1 hour from Lancaster, 1 hour from Baltimore.

The space
The house has four bedrooms, sleeping 8 total. One bedroom contains a king size bed, one has a queen, and the other two bedrooms both have two twin beds each. There are two full bathrooms in the house; one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The golf course consists of 4 greens and 8 tee boxes which are mixed and matched to combine for 18 holes. Score cards show the course layout, however guests can play however they choose. The greens are artificial turf while the tee boxes are natural grass. The course provides a unique opportunity for a no pressure no rush golf. Our golf season runs from April 15 through November 15 (weather permitting).
