- "The room was not marked. The room was much smaller than expected or listed. Room had two pillows. No hand towels. Bare minimum. Internet was mislabeled. You will need to keep in close contact with the tenant because they will be able to help or tell you to bad that’s New York. Roaches and bugs were in the closet and bathroom. Window shades do not block goth very well and the room gets lights every morning. Loud neighbors. luck having them explain the ac. Better like tinder and humid. The water you apparently have to let the water run for 3 minutes or more because if you don’t it comes out white. I do not recommend using the water. The bed was two steps from the kitchen and one step to the kitchen table.if you are tall good luck using the toilet comfortably. Would never recommend this room to anyone and the host will not make you feel any better if you complain, they will actually say what you say is false. I guess there’s always two sides to every story. I wish I never booked. "

This tastefully renovated modern apartment is located on a quiet residential street on the border of idyllic Bay Ridge and trendy Sunset Park. Approx. 35 minute drive from JFK, Newark and La Guardia Airports and 40 minutes to Manhattan. Steps away from Owl's Head Park, a short walk to a Citibike stand, the NYC ferry, MTA express bus and subway, the waterfront Shore Road Promenade and many bars, multi-cultural restaurants and stores along 3rd and 5th Ave. Very walkable/bikeable location.
The space
The apartment is a light-filled, stylish and newly renovated one bedroom apartment with one bathroom. It's on the ground floor of a townhouse with its own private entrance from the street. There is a full sofa bed and a single day-bed in the living space and a queen-size bed in the bedroom which has a door with a lock. There is a 32" TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living space is 50". There is an office area located off of the main living area. The kitchen is fully outfitted with anything needed to cook meals. Appliances include a dishwasher, full-size fridge with water and ice dispenser, full-size gas stove with oven, microwave with a fan that vents outdoors and a new Keurig coffee machine (complimentary pods provided). There is a stacked washer and drier inside the apartment as well. The apartment has heated tile floors throughout and two Fujitsu split AC/heat units with one in the bedroom and one in the living area.

We are located in a great spot with a Walk Score of 87. There is a CitiBike rack on the corner so biking is very convenient. The apartment is located a few blocks away from the NYC Ferry (~12 min walk). The Ferry stops at Pier 11 Manhattan (Wall Street), Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo, Red Hook and Governor’s Island. There are more destinations available with connections at other stops( www.ferry.nyc). Three short blocks (<5 min walk) from the apartment is an MTA bus stop for B9 and B64 local buses as well as X27 Express to Manhattan. The subway is five blocks away (~10 min walk or 3 min B9/B64 ride) to Bay Ridge Ave 'R' Station. There are a couple of bodegas a few blocks away (<5 min walk) and a full size supermarket a couple of blocks away from the bodegas (<10 min walk). Just a few blocks away from the supermarket you can find many restaurants, coffee shops, drug stores, a hardware store, fresh produce and more. Parking in the neighborhood can be difficult specially at night. Street parking on the surrounding blocks of the apartment is free, but as you get closer to the commercial area, there is metered parking on the avenues with free street parking on most side streets. Uber and Lyft are readily available and usually inexpensive if you travel to 3rd avenue where a lot of the restaurants, bars and cafes are located.

Also , we offer private driveway off street parking for anyone staying with us that brings their car or a rental car. The apartment is a 7-10 minute walk from the Verrazano narrows bay /shore road with some of the most amazing views of the NYC skyline. The flooring throughout is shiny wood parquet with an area rug in the living room. The apartment features one large bedroom with two large windows providing ample natural lighting. Sleeping amenities include a very comfortable California king bed . There are several options for storage, including 2 wood dressers, and an armoire to hang up your clothing. There is flat screen television on the bedroom wall with smart tv options, also local cable. There is a full length mirror on the wall. The living space consists of a leather sectional couch which is comfortable enough to sleep on. There is a second large flat screen smart tv , and two coffee tables. The living room also has its own large windows that when open emit a wonderful breeze during the summer / spring months. Both the bedroom and living room have air conditioners for the summer months. There is also a full length mirror on the wall in the living space.There is a bathroom with stand up shower, toilet, and small vanity with mirror where you may store your toiletries. I supply toilet paper and towels for the length of your stay.
The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms because of how well naturally lit it is. There is a brand new refrigerator, just replaced. There is a full size cooking stove with oven, a microwave, a toaster oven, and a coffee machine. There is a small eat in area space with stools for two. I supply all pots , pans, utensils , cups, plates, bowls, paper towels, napkins and ice in freezer. There is a large kitchen window overlooking the front of the home. There are blinds for privacy in all rooms for privacy .
