- "The room was not marked. The room was much smaller than expected or listed. Room had two pillows. No hand towels. Bare minimum. Internet was mislabeled. You will need to keep in close contact with the tenant because they will be able to help or tell you to bad that’s New York. Roaches and bugs were in the closet and bathroom. Window shades do not block goth very well and the room gets lights every morning. Loud neighbors. luck having them explain the ac. Better like tinder and humid. The water you apparently have to let the water run for 3 minutes or more because if you don’t it comes out white. I do not recommend using the water. The bed was two steps from the kitchen and one step to the kitchen table.if you are tall good luck using the toilet comfortably. Would never recommend this room to anyone and the host will not make you feel any better if you complain, they will actually say what you say is false. I guess there’s always two sides to every story. I wish I never booked. "

This tastefully renovated modern apartment is located on a quiet residential street on the border of idyllic Bay Ridge and trendy Sunset Park. Approx. 35 minute drive from JFK, Newark and La Guardia Airports and 40 minutes to Manhattan. Steps away from Owl's Head Park, a short walk to a Citibike stand, the NYC ferry, MTA express bus and subway, the waterfront Shore Road Promenade and many bars, multi-cultural restaurants and stores along 3rd and 5th Ave. Very walkable/bikeable location.
The space
The apartment is a light-filled, stylish and newly renovated one bedroom apartment with one bathroom. It's on the ground floor of a townhouse with its own private entrance from the street. There is a full sofa bed and a single day-bed in the living space and a queen-size bed in the bedroom which has a door with a lock. There is a 32" TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living space is 50". There is an office area located off of the main living area. The kitchen is fully outfitted with anything needed to cook meals. Appliances include a dishwasher, full-size fridge with water and ice dispenser, full-size gas stove with oven, microwave with a fan that vents outdoors and a new Keurig coffee machine (complimentary pods provided). There is a stacked washer and drier inside the apartment as well. The apartment has heated tile floors throughout and two Fujitsu split AC/heat units with one in the bedroom and one in the living area.

We are located in a great spot with a Walk Score of 87. There is a CitiBike rack on the corner so biking is very convenient. The apartment is located a few blocks away from the NYC Ferry (~12 min walk). The Ferry stops at Pier 11 Manhattan (Wall Street), Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo, Red Hook and Governor’s Island. There are more destinations available with connections at other stops( www.ferry.nyc). Three short blocks (<5 min walk) from the apartment is an MTA bus stop for B9 and B64 local buses as well as X27 Express to Manhattan. The subway is five blocks away (~10 min walk or 3 min B9/B64 ride) to Bay Ridge Ave 'R' Station. There are a couple of bodegas a few blocks away (<5 min walk) and a full size supermarket a couple of blocks away from the bodegas (<10 min walk). Just a few blocks away from the supermarket you can find many restaurants, coffee shops, drug stores, a hardware store, fresh produce and more. Parking in the neighborhood can be difficult specially at night. Street parking on the surrounding blocks of the apartment is free, but as you get closer to the commercial area, there is metered parking on the avenues with free street parking on most side streets. Uber and Lyft are readily available and usually inexpensive if you travel to 3rd avenue where a lot of the restaurants, bars and cafes are located.

Sleeping amenities include a very comfortable California king bed . There are several options for storage, including 2 wood dressers, and an armoire to hang up your clothing. There is flat screen television on the bedroom wall with smart tv options, also local cable. There is a full length mirror on the wall. The living space consists of a leather sectional couch which is comfortable enough to sleep on. There is a second large flat screen smart tv , and two coffee tables. The living room also has its own large windows that when open emit a wonderful breeze during the summer / spring months. Both the bedroom and living room have air conditioners for the summer months. There is also a full length mirror on the wall in the living space.There is a bathroom with stand up shower, toilet, and small vanity with mirror where you may store your toiletries. There is a full size cooking stove with oven, a microwave, a toaster oven, and a coffee machine. There is a small eat in area space with stools for two. I supply all pots , pans, utensils , cups, plates, bowls, paper towels, napkins and ice in freezer. There is a large kitchen window overlooking the front of the home. The apt is very close to a marketplace with Dunkin Donuts, CVS, deli's and restaurants.

8 min walk to Food Dynasty Supermarket. Between a driveway is the 24hr Super Clean Laundromat store, Liquor shop, Western Union, Bicycle shop and Italian bread shop etc.

Go down the apt you will reach Buono Beach and Alice Austin museum where you can relax and enjoy NYC views. People walking their dogs, fishing, etc.


Transportation to Manhattan:

The Staten Island Ferry is Free and runs 24/7, all year round. The ferry is 25 min ride to Lower East Manhattan, from here you can take local or express trains, 4, 5, 6, 1, R trains to Central Manhattan (Times Square, Central Park etc...), or to Queens or Brooklyn.

By Uber, cost around 8 dollars to Staten Island Ferry terminal with around 10 min drive.

The S51 Bus stop is only one block away from the apartment, front of CVS, which it takes around 10 minutes to the ferry terminal. The S51 Bus cost $2.75 per person and runs 24/7.

You can also walk 10 min to Clifton Railway Station to take the train to the ferry, 7 min ride to last stop, ferry station.

By driving, it takes around 10 mins to the ferry terminal. There's a valet underground parking under the Empire Outlet Mall, right next to ferry terminal.

Airports:

By car, it takes 8 minutes to Verrazano Bridge connects to various airports. It takes approximately 30 minutes to three major airports, JFK International Airport, Laguardia Airport and Newark International Airport.

If you travel to visit a family or to see our awesome city, to study here or on business - our apartment would be an oasis of peace and quiet, of comfort and rest. Newly renovated, totally private multi-leveled apartment amidst 4 parks, close to the beach, with fully equipped kitchen is in the safe residential neighborhood with small diners, bagel shops, new-American cuisine restaurants and many types of public transportation: regular and express buses and a ferry (which is free!!!).

The space
We just finished a complete renovation of the apartment: we installed a new kitchen, ceiling lights, floors, we've got a beautiful wall paper and changed the whole color scheme - we are artists after all. I love how it turned out.
It's 7 min. by car to Brooklyn and 40 min. to Manhattan; the public transportation is within walking distance : 20min. to Brooklyn and 50 min. to Manhattan by bus. The Ferry is FREE and very romantic, all of the movies about NYC where filmed from the Staten Island Ferry! And the Green Lady (Statue of Liberty) is passed by every time you go to and back from Manhattan.
The apartment is on a quiet street and it's 10 min. walking distance to the ocean. It's in the safe residential neighborhood.
The apartment is completely private. The only thing that's shared is the foyer/corridor with two entrance doors into apartments: mine (I live upstairs) and yours (first floor). The bedroom has two windows, it is on the street level. The dining area, kitchen and bathroom are 7 steps down. We don't have a railing! There is a walk-in closet in the bedroom with it's separate lighting, another is in the dining/kitchen area) The furniture is from IKEA.
There are two museums (Garribaldi-Meucci museum and Alice Austen house - very picturesque and on the ocean shore), Fort Wadsworth - an old fort right at the foot of Verrazano bridge turned into a park with the BEST view of Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey and South Beach with boardwalk, beach area and restaurants.

You will have access to the entire apartment and the foyer/corridor preceding it. We make an effort to accommodate our guests and meet them and greet them ourselves (except when we travel ourselves and become someone else's guests. In this rare case we'll let you know how to do a self check-in ).

Victorian house in a quiet residential Ft Wadsworth neighborhood of Staten Island. Just a few blocks from the Staten Island Expressway. 15 minutes by cab from Newark airport, 15 minutes by express bus to lower Manhattan, 20 minutes by bus to Staten Island Ferry. Spacious separate apartment with private entrance, large kitchen with veranda, large common area, bathroom & access to a large deck. Shower has a steam room. Must climb stairs to access apartment. 2 guests max. 2nd guest - $30 extra/day.

The space
Room is large with tall ceilings. Completely furnished. Kitchen has a microwave, fridge and an oven. We have 2 friendly dogs on the property. One of them is usually inside, the other roams the enclosed yard.

Sleeping space are two futons. If needed, an air mattress can be available if requested. There is tv with wifi (fire tv) no cable however. Newly renovated bathroom completely private. There is an AC/HEATER unit as noted in picture. Can be controlled with remote for the ideal temperature desired. Please note there is no kitchen however a fridge is provided and a microwave can be provided as well if needed. Perfect place to sleep if out venturing New York City!

Local & express buses stops are only few mins walk from our apartment. Guest have access to the entire apartment with a private entrance. Ideal for personal and business travel! The space
Our apartment is located on the first floor of our property. There are 2 stylish bedrooms suitable for 2-4 guests. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other bedroom has a full size sofa bed, a coffee table and 65” Smart TV, it could also be used as a living room. Well-equipped modern kitchen with basic cooking tools. Brand new bathroom with stand-up shower and glass door. Big windows in both bedrooms.

Please note that there is only one TV in one of the rooms. if having a TV in the room is important for you, please do not book our apartment :)
