Newly remodeled historic brick home in a small rural town right in the heart of great hunting areas. Just 1 mile off of I-70; Ideal for families or large hunting parties . Well behaved dogs are welcomed. 30 minutes from Cedar Bluff Reservoir. Cozy lodge type feel. kitchen and bathrooms are newly renovated. Fully functional farmhouse style kitchen, coffeemaker and Keurig. Large dining table, comfortable living/room with hunter theme, Direct TV/WIFI, family board games. - "The living room, dining room and kitchen all made it easy for the group of 8 to move about, work together and spend time visiting. Having the five bedrooms was crucial for our stay. Only downside really was the stickers, which the host apologized for and had been doing her best to get rid of them." - "Great historic property. My grandkids were fascinated by the push button light switches. Let future guests know about the turkey buzzards that roost on the water tower at dusk. There were at least 25 when we saw them. The keurig coffee maker must have just been cleaned or descaled with white vinegar because coffee tasted like vinegar and I used my own k-cups. Luckily I finally figured out how to work the drip coffee maker. Had to press and hold the prog button to get it to brew. Also was told my mom who is 92 and can't do stairs could sleep on one of the couches. Well those are loveseats not couches, so she couldnt stretch out. We ended up having to take her to Quinter to stay in my cousins camper at the RV park. Very disappointed and inconvenient that she couldn't stay with us in Collyer and I couldnt tend to her. Had we known in advance I could've made better arrangents for her than a camper in the RV park."

This one bedroom House in the heart of the Midwest has all of the comforts of home! You have the entire property to yourself, complete with a fully appointed kitchen, and laundry in the bathroom. The exterior of the house boasts a large yard, and patio for relaxing. One claim to fame for Ness is the Historic Bank building. I would be happy to arrange a Free tour of this building as I am a member of the Bank Building Foundation. We also have some of the best quail and pheasant hunting around. The house has one Queen bedroom the other portion of the house is living space with fold out couch, fold out ottomans, and futon.

This one bedroom Grain Bin converted to a tiny home in the heart of the Midwest, has all of the comforts of home! You have the entire bin to yourself, complete with a kitchenette, full bathroom. You will have to be able to climb stairs to get to the main bed, but there is a futon on the main level. The exterior faces the corral where our cattle and horse may sometimes be, and free range chickens that may roam toward you, especially if they think you have food. We may eventually add more animals!
The space
Our bin is located in a rural setting, the main floor boasts a full bath, kitchenette, and living area with a futon for relaxing or sleeping, the loft or second level is the bedroom with a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. We would have loved to fit the sleeper sofa on the main level but it just wasn’t possible.
Guest access
Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home while staying, and are welcome to use anything available at the house. They are also encouraged to contact us with any questions or special requests. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible!

Our cabin at Lake Scott State Park is located on the East side of the lake in a tranquil setting right across from the water. It can accommodate up to eight people, has a full kitchen, bath with shower, sleeping loft, and a large deck. Cabin includes a loft sleeping area with two twin over full bunk beds. The large sectional couch also pulls out to a full size bed.

Access the lake at the local HOA private access point right across the road from the cabin! Cabin comes with paddle boards for your own personal use and other yard and deck games for fun during your stay!

It was dark when we got there, but imagine our pleasure when we woke up in the morning to see the lake right across the street. The very lake we planned to run around! We were greeted by a flock of wild turkeys, and within moments of starting our run, we saw three deer. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we made a great spaghetti dinner the night berore. Lovely lake, lovely run. Comfortable beds and so quiet! Thank you so much!"

Overall, the accommodations starting from the kitchen, to the bedrooms and the bathrooms, it seemed like every aspect of what was needed was thought of and then some. (Literal spa downstairs!!) We cannot say enough about the overall layout though. Just great space and amenities. We actually hosted a large family gathering here and from everyone visiting with one another, to preparing food in the kitchen or grilling outside, and especially the fire pit later in the evening, the space just seemed to accommodate what we needed and flow seamlessly as if we were at home. This lake house is located at Lake Scott State Park right across from some great park amenities! We have a great lake view and guest can enjoy our HOA private lake access! Come and enjoy the peaceful mornings at our lake house!

Our lake house can sleep up to eight guest. There is a sleeping loft (not enclosed) which has two bunkbed (both twin over full). The loft is accessed by fairly steep set of stairs so it is not suitable for small children or the elderly. On the main level there is a pull out couch in the living area (full size). The bathroom is a 3/4 bath with stand up shower, kitchen has basic cooking utensils, and there is also large deck to enjoy the lake front view!
We do have Wi-Fi at the lake house but please note it can cut out due to the remote location. The Wi-Fi is used best for checking email and log into social media. The smart TV is set to stream free TV and other apps but when the Wi-Fi is not at its best we have a DVD player with lots of movies and a basket stocked with games!
We are located in a quiet, tranquil neighborhood right across from the lake. It is often visited by turkey and other wildlife. If you are wanting to enjoy the lake or state park for hiking, biking, fishing, etc please acquire a park permit at the nearby permitting station before accessing the water.

The indoor grill was the best. (I am now getting one for my house) lol. Beds were comfy. TV excellent. Towels awesome. The soaps were all supplied. I do have two suggestions more potholders and a battery operated light above the stove it was rather dark cooking. Thank you so much Abby for letting us stay in your house!!!!"

The property is located 8 miles south of Colby/i70. It is two miles off of highway25 down gravel road, which in rare events can become muddy. If there is a chance of this being a problem we will advise.

- Gas grill is available outside. Be sure to turn the gas on to use, and to OFF when finished.

- No stairs or steps on this property; easy access to all rooms.

- No ice. Ice maker in the refrigerator is not operational. Bring your own bags of ice.

- No outside dog kennel at this point, but there is room for 1-2 dog kennel carrier boxes in the laundry room.

- No garbage disposal.

- Dogs/pets are not allowed in the carpeted rooms. No dogs on beds or furniture. Please keep dogs in crates or on laminate flooring when inside the Lodge.

- A stay at the Lodge does NOT mean occupants are allowed to hunt the property. That is a separate agreement with the landowner.

- If you use something, clean it when finished.

- If you break something, let us know.

- Outside trestle poles can be used to hang and dress deer.

- Clean pheasants, quail, wild game, etc., outside. You can wash the meat in the utility room sink. Clean sink when finished.

- If a smoke alarm is beeping, the battery probably needs to be changed. There are extra batteries in the drawer to the west of the stove top.

- NO burn barrels nor any fire pits / camp fires allowed. There is normally a grave fire danger in NW Kansas.

- NO fireworks allowed on the property.

- Be sure to turn the gas on to start the grill outside, and turn OFF when finished.

- Wash and put away all dishes when done and/or start the dishwasher.

- Sweep up / clean up any messes.

- Pull off sheets and pile them in the laundry room.

- Pile dirty towels in the laundry room as well.

- Throw away trash. If you have excessive cans/bottles, please sack them up and take them with you to recycle.

- Turn OFF all lights, appliances, gas grill.

- UNPLUG coffee pot and toaster and other small appliances such as crock pots.

- Close all the blinds.

- Disconnect and drain any hoses outside if you used any.

- Summer? Turn AC off or the thermostat to 82.

- Winter? Turn the thermostat to 60.

- Grocery stores – There is a small grocery store in Grinnell (10 min), Grainfield (15 min), and in Quinter (25 min) but they don’t have a lot of inventory. On your way west, the last big grocery store is probably the Wal-Mart in Hays, KS. Oakley (20 min West) has a small grocery store too.

- DIRECTIONS: Do NOT follow Google Maps. Exit I-70 at Grinnell, exit 85. Go south on Gove Road 30 for 3 miles. Turn east onto Road Z and drive one mile to Road 32. Turn south onto 32 and go 2 miles to Road X. Turn East onto Road X, and drive ½ mile to the EAST entrance gate at The Lodge. Gate is purple with a white K-State Power Cat.

Welcome to our retro home in western Kansas! Relax on the deck and enjoy our gorgeous sunrises or peaceful evenings. Cook in our fully equipped kitchen, and sleep in quiet, comfortable rooms. We are only 13 minutes from beautiful Historic Lake Scott State Park. Other nearby attractions include Keystone Gallery, Monument Rocks, Little Jerusalem, and Battle Canyon.
I will consider a last minute booking if you send a request. Extra fees for unauthorized groups or need for excessive cleaning.

The space
The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a combined kitchen amd dining area, and a living room with space for sitting and chatting. There is a laundry area with a washer and dryer available for use, a keurig with k-cups, a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and toaster oven.

Guest access
There is a covered parking area at the rear of the house with a three steps up access to the house. The east side of the house has a deck with three steps up also. There is a large area in front of the house where your children can run.

Other things to note
This home belongs to our parents who live in Mew Mexico and only use it occasionally. There is no TV, which provides our guests an excellent opportunity to sit on the deck and decompress;)

The cabin is located at Lake Scott State Park right across from some great park amenities! We have a great lake view and guests can enjoy our HOA private lake access! Come and enjoy the peaceful mornings at our lake house!

Lake house includes a loft sleeping area with two bunkbeds (both twin over full), a pull out couch in the living area (full size), bathroom with shower, kitchen with cooking utensils, and a large deck to enjoy the lake front view!

The space
The Lakehouse is located in a quiet, tranquil neighborhood right across from the lake. It is often visited by turkey and other wildlife. Please see the neighborhood description below for all activities offered nearby!

**We DO NOT PROVIDE bedding, pillows and towels (kitchen or bathroom). Please remember to bring what you need.**

As for our space, we have room for up to eight guest, but please note the sleeping loft is not enclosed. The sleeping loft is accessed by a fairly STEEP set of stairs, so it is NOT suitable for small children or the elderly. The sleeping loft has two twin over full bunk beds. The main living area has a large couch that pulls out to a queen size bed.

We have a kitchen with many cooking essentials included. We have also have reverse osmosis water accessible at the kitchen sink (faucet on the left side). We do have Wi-Fi at the cabin, but please note it can cut out due to the remote location. The Wi-Fi is best used to check email and log into social media. The smart TV is set to stream free TV and other apps, but when the Wi-Fi is not at its best, we have a DVD player with lots of movies and a basket stocked with games!

Guest access
Guest have access to the whole house, parking area directly in the back of house and the front yard.
Please to do wonder to our neighbors yards.

Also directly across the road is lake access. To fish you will need a state fishing license.

Must be able to climb stairs. The are steep

There will be a $250 fee if there are pets brought on the property or into the house.

There is NO SMOKING allowed in the house if smoking is done in house you will be charged a $500.

Please be considerate and communicate with me if accidents happen.
