We are located approximately 7 miles south of Soldotna and 2 hours and 45 minutes south of Anchorage. Our Cabin is conveniently located between the Kenai, Kasilof Rivers and Deep Creek as well as centrally located between the towns of Homer and Seward. As long time residents we will recommend the best fishing, hiking and sightseeing adventures, making your trip a truly Alaskan experience. Teack Lake Cabin is located on a private lake; you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and the solitude of a private setting.

The cabin is suited for couples and parties of no more than three.

There is no fishing in the lake, however, once you book with us we will send you our recommendations for Kenai and Kasilof River guides as well as deep sea fishing charters.

Just finished this New Cabin in early July(2021). Location, Location, Location! Beautiful River front lot located on the "swift" water section of the Kenai River(RM25), known for the Best Sockeye fishing in the World! Many other species of fish including the King and Silver Salmon as well as Trophy Trout and Dolly Varden. Just walk out the front door less than a 100' and step onto aluminum fishing docks, or natural grassy banks, to bring in the Big ones. UPDATE: 2022 we have a 10'x12' fish processing shed available for our guests to use. It has 3 freezers, countertop with sink and 2 sealers for your fish.

The kitchen is small, but very well appointed: silverware, dishes, glasses, sharp knives, pots/pans, utensils, spices (!). It's a one bathroom, but it is large. The washer/dryer is a huge plus given that fishing can get a little slimy. Anything that I needed, Cyndy had! Needed a net - she provided. Wanted a coffee pot instead of the Keurig - she provided. Grill was awesome and we took solid advantage of for fish, steaks and burgers. Overall, the nicest VRBO I have stayed in, and I have stayed all over the world. Highly recommend."

This home is conveniently located between the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and is centrally located between the towns of Homer and Seward. As a long time resident I can recommend the best fishing, hiking, bird watching, and sightseeing adventures, making your trip a truly Alaskan experience.

The Purdue House is located on a private cul-de-sac; you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and the solitude of a private setting.

This Alaskan home features a lovely kitchen, a livingroom with luxurious leather furniture, HDTV home theater (movies included) with streaming TV and Wireless internet.

NOTE: ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS
Since April 2020 our cleaning staff has been using an enhanced cleaning process: we use a 2-step approach in cleaning our vacation rentals. We CLEAN using a detergent and hot water for visibly dirty surfaces, followed by DISINFECTION (using Microban, Lysol spray, Chlorox bleach solution, Ozium).

"High Touch" surfaces - We clean and disinfect high touch surfaces after each stay. These areas include tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, handrails, light switches, TV remotes, wardrobe and cabinet handles, desks, toilets, sinks, bedside tables, kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

"Low Touch" areas (such as floors, walls, blinds) - These are being cleaned using hot water and detergent. We mop from one end of the premises to the other.

"Soft surfaces" (such as carpeted floors, rugs) - We remove visible dirt and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.

Towels, linens, bedding are laundered on the hottest setting - We also use a Lysol Sanitizing Laundry additive to sanitize all linens and towels.

We provide each vacation rental with a supply of hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, and face masks for use in public places.

We did struggle with “all the remotes” but we weren’t there just to watch TV. The chunky dishes were difficult to arrange in the dishwasher. Perhaps some more normal size glassware for milk, orange juice and water. We also appreciated the convenient washer and dryer. Could have made use of a flyswatter but couldn’t find one. Sister in law wished they had more counter/shelf space in master bath. The frosting on the cake was our own mama moose and calf!!"

This is a beautiful new home on the Kenai River, just a few miles from downtown Soldotna and located on Funny River Road. Great neighborhood, private access to fishing, or a mile of public use fishing just down the road. A freezer is provided. Your host, Mark, is most always on-site and enjoys teaching those who may not be familiar with fishing our river how to catch a big one! Master bedroom has a King and second bedroom has two twin-sized beds.

Our bear cabin is located just 15 minutes outside of Soldotna Alaska on 16 acres of Alaskan forest. This cabin shares the property with one other cabin, a yurt, and our main house. This cabin has a private parking space, a covered deck, and a view that is breath taking. Access to the commons area around the property include a gazebo with fire pit, and a canoe to go out on the lake on the property only. Kitchen comes equipped with a two burner electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, cookware, dish soap, and dining dishes. Bathroom has towels, hand soap, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed in this cabin is a king size bed and a armoire for storage of your clothes while you are here. Living room has a large TV, DVD player, and stereo system for entertainment. The covered deck wraps halfway around the cabin and over looks the properties below. There is a patio dining table with chairs and grill located on the deck for private use. We have recently gotten Starlink internet that is shared between the two cabins.

Summary:
Steelhead Cabin @ Keystone Kozy is a wonderfully appointed cabin with close river access to the world famous Kenai River.

The Kenai River is the most popular sport fishing destination in Alaska. Each year there are two runs each of king salmon, coho salmon, sockeye salmon, plus a run of pink salmon every other year. The world record king salmon, which weighed about 44 kg (97 lb), was caught in the Kenai River in 1985. The Kenai is also the home of trophy size rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. Occasionally there will be reports of catching of "Steelhead"(Sea-run Trout). In recent years, the king salmon fishery has been closed or heavily restricted due to low returns of fish. The coho salmon runs occur in early August and early October. The September run is favored by local anglers due to the larger size of the silver salmon. The sockeye salmon runs are in late-June and mid-July-August. Sockeyes are considered the premier salmon for eating, canning, and smoking.

The Space:
Steelhead can sleep up to six people with 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed and queen sofa bed in living room. The cabin has one bathroom with a large well lit tile shower and an on demand hot water heater which means you never run out of hot water. A complete kitchen has a refrigerator, gas range, microwave and cooking utensils for your use. The loft has an over stuffed chair and great view of living space as well as outdoors, great for reading a book or relaxing. Large windows and a wrap around deck opens the living space up to the outdoors giving this cabin a sense of bringing the outdoors inside. A Smart TV is available with access to free movies and news as well you can login using your Netflix or other On-demand services for viewing your favorite programs. FISHING ACCESS: although this property does not offer any private river access, there are two public access locations close by, Moose Meadows public docks is about 1/2 mile up the road as well as a boat launch about 200 yards from the property.

This cabin is not located on the river, but there is a newly upgraded boat landing up river approximately 200 yards along with two public river accesses on Keystone Drive that are complete with walk ways and fish cleaning tables. The closest is Moose Meadows which is about a half mile away.

Surrounded by towering spruce and birch, with the sound of the Kenai River flowing nearby, it offers a rare balance of wild Alaskan beauty and quiet seclusion—yet with shops, dining, and conveniences only minutes down the road. Getting Around:
While we presume you'll be driving to our destination there are all means of commercial transportation including a commercial airport in Kenai 25 miles away. There are several airplane operators that can bring you to more remote settings for bear watching, fishing, and site seeing.

Anywhere you sit within the space allows for a stunning view of the surrounding woods and wildlife. We did not get a chance to enjoy the additional amenities offered, because it was a quick business trip; however, we agreed this would not be the last time we stay at the Keystone Kozy Cabins! Would hands down recommend this to anyone."

This is a beautiful new home on the Kenai River, just a few miles from downtown Soldotna and located on Funny River Road. Great neighborhood, private access to fishing, or a mile of public use fishing just down the road. A freezer is provided. Your host, Mark, is most always on-site and enjoys teaching those who may not be familiar with fishing our river how to catch a big one! Master bedroom has a King and second bedroom has two twin-sized beds.

We are close to the heart of Soldotna! Just minutes from local shopping, attractions, and the Kenai River! Abundant wildlife sightings in our neighborhood. This place is great for a small group coming to stay, with two single beds (can be joined to form a king for those honeymooners!) and a sofa bed located in the living room, which makes it perfect for a small family. We also have a fully functional kitchen with all the tools needed to make a wonderful meal after a full day of fishing! A good sized full bathroom for those of us who like to soak after a long day. The location is perfectly situated just a few minutes from the Kenai river, a few minutes from the Cook inlet, five minutes from both Soldotna and Kenai. You can easily do day trips to Seward (1 hour 45 minutes) and Homer (1 hour 30 minutes). Soldotna and Kenai have everything you would need from grocery stores, Walmart, Fred Meyer, fun bakeries, shopping, medical care, restaurants, breweries and even a winery nearby.

This home features 2 bedrooms, the Master has a queen size sleep number bed, with a private bathroom with both a bathtub and a multi jet shower. The second bedroom is a queen bed with a private bathroom with a shower.

The sitting room is cozy with soft leather seating, and a gorgeous iron gas fireplace to take the chill off the morning or evening!

The custom bar with beautiful pendant lighting seats 8. The well stocked kitchen has beautiful stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, and commercial oven. Butcher block and granite counter tops give plenty of space for meal preparation.
