Guests are welcome to roam the four-acre grounds with paths, picnic tables, and a fire pit. Enjoy the splendor of our colorful flowers and the aromas of honeysuckle and lavender. If you're fortunate you may encounter the deer, squirrels, raccoon, possums, hummingbirds, and other wildlife that roam here. No dangerous animals have ever been seen on our property.

Our new guest house is wheelchair accessible with our ADA-compliant ramp and shower support bars. The front door is 36" wide and the bedroom and bathroom doors are 32" wide. The kitchenette and bathroom vanity are at regular countertop height.

This recently renovated West Linn home is special in every way. Sitting in a quiet suburban neighborhood in the hills of West Linn, you are just over 10 miles to downtown Portland. Rated as one of the top small cities to live in within the entire country, you can't go wrong to make this your home during your travels.

Upon entering the home, you are greeted with an incredibly warm and comfortable layout. You will immediately see the care and thoughtfulness that went into every bit of decor, helping create a wonderful experience on your travels.

The main living and dining area is connected, with ample seating. Connected on two sides the living and dining rooms, the main kitchen area and a nook provides even more seating.

Up just seven steps is the upper part of the split-level home that boasts all four bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds with closets and room to spread out. There is a shared full bath just at the top of the stairs.

On the other end you will find the master bedroom with a new king bed, a seating area, and a full bathroom adjacent to it. Also sitting near the bathroom is another bedroom area. This room has three queen beds and is perfect for kids, young adults, and siblings to sleep in the same room and enjoy everything this home has to offer.

The homeowner lives on the property in the lower level. This level is available to add on to the main part of the home for an additional $250 a night. It has another full kitchen, living area, and bedroom with direct access to the enormous deck.

To access the deck (if you are not renting the lower level space as well) just follow the path on the left side of the house. There is plenty of seating in chairs for the entire group and a ping pong table to enjoy overlooking the vast green space behind the home. Weather permitting, you will find yourself spending a lot of time in this space.

There is ample street parking, often the two spots in the driveway are in taken.

- "We stayed here to be close to my parents’ house in West Linn and it was perfect. There were only four of us, but it was cozy, clean, and very quiet. The kids loved sharing the bedroom with three beds, and it made it easy for us to have them so close to our main bedroom. This apartment is downstairs with its own entrance and a lovely deck looking out on the forest (you can hear a creek, but the foliage is thick so you can't see it) with lots of birds and we saw deer and a raccoon. As others have said, you can hear minor noise from the upstairs family, but they're courteous and friendly and it's nothing to worry about. It may be helpful to others to point out that there's a good long flight of stairs down to the entrance. Bedrooms were comfortable, as was the dining room, and we appreciated all the seating in the living space. We were there for a weekend wedding and we'd stay here again if the need arose."

A Little More About The Space:

This themed guest suite is the entire downstairs of a home. You will enter through left garage bay, which will also be yours to use during your stay. In addition, you will have private access to use the front yard lawn at your leisure with beautiful views of Mt. Hood on a clear day (we provide a blanket in case you want to enjoy a picnic).

There is a queen bed in the bedroom and there is a couch that folds out into a small, full-size bed in the living room area. While the space can comfortably sleep 3 adults, it could also easily sleep 2 adults and 2 younger children. Sound machines and blackout curtains are available in both rooms.

Although you will not be "locked" in your suite, you will have the option to partake in an escape room adventure that we have built into the space. In your arrival text, there will be directions for how to participate in the adventure, if you wish to do so. We will be available to provide assistance if you get stumped or run into issues. On average, it takes around an hour to complete the quest.

The space is great for a quick weekend getaway to Portland, an overnight "staycation", or a longer-term stay if you work remotely and want to explore a new place.

Just minutes from Portland, Oregon this private 1,300 sq.ft. flat-on-stilts is centrally located in the greater Portland area and ideally situated for explorers. Portland is only 18 min.away, Mt. Hood is less than an hour, it's ski venues (Timberline and Skibowl) a buck fifteen. The wine country a short drive away, and I do mean short - like 3 minutes short - where you can begin your weekend wine tasting at Oswego Hills before setting off to the heart of the Willamette Valley and its appellations in Sherwood (25 min), Dundee (41 min), Dayton (46 min.), Carlton and McMinnville (54 min). The spectacular Gorge and Multnomah Falls (45 min,) and Hood Rive (1:15) and the Oregon coast (Tillamook and Cannon Beach) is a tad over an hour and a half. The crown jewel of the State Park system (Silver Falls) is also only an hour away.

This 1st Floor suite features your own separate private entrance down the flight of stairs left of the driveway and access is super simple. No key to locate, no code to enter, nothing.. Just turn the door handle and voila - your in. A luxurious bathroom with oversize shower with dual shower heads, a great room with gas fireplace, pool & ping pong tables, English bristle dart board as well as board games including Twister :-). The fun and games extend outside where you can try your luck at Loomis Links, a short but challenging 4 hole mini golf course.

The Tiki Dry-Bar kitchenette comes with a mini-fridge, ice coolers, a microwave, a toaster, and a coffeemaker (.no sink or stove), but there is a Hamilton Beach 22 Quart electric roaster. Dishes/glasses (drinking and wine), silverware and food prep items (mixing/serving bowls, spatulas, etc) and growlers are also provided.

This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.

Please do note, this home is almost 100 years old. There are quirks and imperfections at times. This home is meant to provide a laid back retreat with a truly spectacular outdoor space.

PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Nestled atop the slopes above the Tualatin River resides one of the more unique and special escapes the region has to offer. Please note this location sits on a piece of property where there is another two bedroom retreat (The Cedars at Rivers Edge), a long term residence, and even a small business office above. While any of the locations you stay at, your privacy is completely respected, however there may be other activity in the area including at the incredible shared areas such as the oversized hanging iron fire-pit or the meandering stairs leading to the property's Tualatin River dock. Due to the geographical setting, we do ask that there are not kids under 12 as the drop-off to the river below could be quite hazardous for kiddos.

Marv's Place is a fantastic one bedroom retreat. Every aspect has been renovated, upgraded, and furnished to create that perfect blend of comfort and style. One epic feature is the 275 square foot outdoor covered patio / living space. It boasts an enormous fire table and outdoor seating. The huge TV is perfect for streaming while taking in the sights and sounds of this incredible property. There is also a built in BBQ for all your grilling desires.

Back inside, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen and cozy living area. The bedroom area has a TV as well when you are ready to wind down the day. After a night of restful sleep, take your time and relax and recharge in the huge bathroom with walk-in shower. The washer and dryer is there as well if you need.

As you will see in the center of the courtyard area, sits a large fire-pit, which is a shared community space with the other two bedroom guest home. The entire space is surrounded by trees and the Tualatin River sits just a short walk beyond and down the ramp to the floating dock. Also as we mentioned earlier there is a small office above Marv's Place so people may come and go throughout the day. There is ample parking available for guests on the property as well. The space
This themed guest suite is the entire downstairs of a home. You will enter through left garage bay, which will also be yours to use during your stay. In addition, you will have private access to use the front yard lawn at your leisure with beautiful views of Mt. Hood on a clear day (we provide a blanket in case you want to enjoy a picnic).

There is a queen bed in the bedroom and there is a couch that folds out into a small, full-size bed in the living room area. While the space can comfortably sleep 3 adults, it could also easily sleep 2 adults and 2 younger children. Sound machines and blackout curtains are available in both rooms.

Although you will not be "locked" in your suite, you will have the option to partake in an escape room adventure that we have built into the space. In your arrival text, there will be directions for how to participate in the adventure, if you wish to do so. We will be available to provide assistance if you get stumped or run into issues. On average, it takes around an hour to complete the quest.

The space is great for a quick weekend getaway to Portland, an overnight "staycation", or a longer-term stay if you work remotely and want to explore a new place.

Our house has a covered patio area for your outdoor enjoyment. It includes an extended driveway if you have a trailer or boat.

The space
The main floor has a small, but well-stocked kitchen (no oven but a large toaster oven and outdoor BBQ seems to suffice for most people), a dining table, a TV area with a couch, a small digital piano, a bathroom with a bathtub/shower, and a large bedroom with a king bed. Upstairs, the loft has a king bed, and in a separate area has a queen bed, a large closet, and a washer and dryer. The private patio has an outdoor dining area and a grill. You'll have access to the shared outdoor amenities including the sport court, pool and hot tub, and tree house.

Guest access
This is a guesthouse on a 2.8 acre property, it is it's own dwelling across the pool from our main house. You will see us on the sport court and in the pool and hot tub occasionally, as well as doing plenty of yard work. You will meet our friendly dogs, and hear them occasionally as well. You are welcome to use the hot tub, but you will need to give us 30 minutes to an hour advance notice to heat it for you.
There is no bus or public transport to our property, but you can use Uber or Lyft.
There is plenty of parking near the sport court.

Other things to note
This is a beautiful setting surrounded by trees, gently rolling hills, lots of wildlife (birds, deer, and squirrels especially!), and great stargazing. There are horses across the street, and it's on a quiet road with nice long walks available. Not far from the city if you want, or just a short drive to wine country if that's more your vibe.

The 'Goat Shed' was originally just that in days yonder. Now it is an exquisite one bedroom, one bath escape, with a full kitchen and laundry. Every aspect has been renovated, upgraded, and furnished to create a perfect blend of comfort and style all. The entire space was designed to highlight the incredible riverside and forest views. It's hard to beat enjoying a morning or evening beverage tableside while looking over the picturesque setting.


As if that wasn't enough, just a couple dozen feet away you will find the 'Zen Den'. This is another bedroom with its own, mini fridge, sink, seating, and toilet. Please do note, it does not have its own shower. That is shared and within with the Goat Shed. While it may be missing it's own shower, what it does have is a perched deck overlooking the Tualatin River with views that have to be experienced to believe. You will want to spend every moment out here you can. These two spaces make up 'The Cedars at Rivers Edge'.


The outdoor area at the property is quite special. The areas that are specific to this retreat are the deck and immediate outside areas of the Goat Shed and Zen Den. The large fire-pit area is a shared space with Marv's Place as well. The patio under Marv's Place is only for guests of that unit. Also as we mentioned earlier there is a small office above Marv's Place so people may come and go throughout the day. There is ample parking available for guests on the property as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.

This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.


Please do note, this home is almost 100 years old. There are quirks and imperfections at times. This home is meant to provide a laid back retreat with a truly spectacular outdoor space.

Water front home and Kayak Heaven! At the Stafford River house we have direct access to the Tualatin River from the backyard. We are located right outside of Portland so close enough to the city for adventures but far enough away to relax and enjoy the peaceful nature and outdoors.
We are in a natured area so please take into consideration there will be animals and insects outside the home.

The space
The master bedroom has a king size bed, tv, exercise bike and private patio.
The kids room has a low platform bunk bed and a separate XL twin bed with a half bathroom.
The main floor has the living room with a tv, two Futon couches, kitchen, full bathroom with jetted spa tub, and back patio . Down stairs has a bedroom with a queen sized bed, chair that turns into a single bed and full bathroom.

Come and enjoy some time with family & friends in our sparkling clean, private, serene, light-filled private home with room for up to 12 guests. It's located in a small valley with minimal neighbors on 1.5 quiet acres, with woods and meadows. It's a little slice of "Oregon heaven", but still close to freeway access, tons of Oregon activities and in-town amenities. House has 2 large decks, private hot tub and plenty of space to stretch out and relax.

The space
Gatehouse Oregon is a very clean, comfortable, private space located 20 mins south of Portland Oregon in the quiet town of West Linn-Willamette. The house sleeps up to 12 adults, and is in close proximity to everything, yet feels worlds away, tucked into a peaceful river valley. This house is a DEDICATED guest space (nobody else lives here) so you don't need to think about anything except relaxation and enjoyment of the house and the surroundings. The very large yard is shared by a beautiful barn/shop that is used by the owners' family, but is never rented out. You may see some people walking or driving to the barn from time to time, but they know to be quiet and respectful of YOUR enjoyment. The private hot tub is not visible from anywhere except the house itself.

This house is a great location for a workshop, a ceremony, family time or even just spending a quiet night with your partner or your own thoughts. Listen to the bullfrogs and the birds, watch the heron and eagles battle for fish in the river, enjoy the hot tub, cook a gourmet meal, barbeque on the deck, have a fire, lay out in the sun and relax in simple, unspoiled tranquility.

Guest access
The entire home will be yours during your stay, except for the garage and storage areas. The Barn/shop is for owners use only.

There are 2 dogs on the adjacent property in the valley named Baxter and Gunnar. They may bark when you arrive, but once you get out of the car, they will make friends immediately!

Portable Air Conditioning is available in upstair master suite only. We install the AC last year at the end of summer. We never need AC before . Downstair all other rooms are cool in the summer . We never need AC for downstair. After sunset the house cools down fast.

Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.


PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. Failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **
