We would like to welcome you to beautiful Thompson Lake in Oxford, Maine. Thompson lake is a nine mile long lake, perfect for boating, water skiing, snorkeling and fishing. Our cottage is located on a secluded forest road just feet from the water. We call the location "Blueberry Point" after all the blueberry bushes that grow along the lake shore. You can relax in the peaceful atmosphere, enjoying boating, fishing, and sunbathing on your own private dock.

Explore over 200 ft of water frontage! There is a large level yard with plenty of parking and horseshoe pits and basketball hoops. Also included is a shore-side fire pit, outdoor tables & chairs, dock, a 14' aluminum rowboat w/oars, and registered for up to 9.9hp (your) motor, 17' canoe w/ paddles and life preservers and seat cushions. And for the kids, there is a basketball hoop, swing set and a shallow sandy swimming area, a sand box with toys, rubber balls, croquet set, badminton set and other play toys. There are two public boat ramps within one mile, a motorboat rental company located on the lake, and also available is a sailboat rental Company that delivers to the lake. There is an outdoor propane BBQ grill, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The cottage features a loft and two bedrooms with three full-size beds, one twin bed; and a pull out twin sofa. Sleeps eight.

There are no Covid-19 restrictions or protocols in Maine at the moment, April 2024. Renters must supply all their own sheets, pillows, dish-towels, dish-cloths, hand-towels, and personal bath-towels and face-cloths. Sleeping on mattress pads without sheets or sleeping bags is not allowed. Sleeping bags on beds are allowed.
Owners and renters will comply with all sanitation protocols for Short-term Rentals, including sanitation and surface disinfection, Renters will wash dishes, glasses, cups, silver-ware and cooking pots and pans after use: also, one newly washed mattress cover and blanket will be provided per bed. Occupancy is limited to eight persons.

Efficient two bedroom vintage 1963 mobile home with an attached enclosed porch. It's like stepping into a time warp, mostly an original vintage mobile home from 1963. Appointed with some surviving fixtures and furniture. Also includes a separate roofed picnic cookout shelter 20 steps from beautiful Green Pond.
Located on Green Pond, our cottage offers the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is still within striking distance of Portland, Freeport, the White Mountains and the Maine coast.

Our ranch-style cottage sleeps up to six people. There are two bedrooms, a full bath with tub/shower, a three season porch with pullout, separate covered picnic deck area overlooking green pond. Our cottage has a well appointed kitchen with a full stove, refrigerator, microwave and other small appliances. There is a dining and living room with views of the pond and great outdoors. We provide a canoe, kayak, shared paddle and rowboat, gas grill for outdoor cooking and everything you'll need for your getaway except food. We do not supply linens (sheets) and towels. We do provide dish towels/clothes and bath mat/rug.

You can use our cottage as a home base to enjoy maine's blue skies in the summer, peep at spectacular foliage in the fall or ski and snowmobile in the winter.

We are located on the east shore of green pond in the town of oxford, maine. Our cottage sits in a beautiful pine-wooded setting on the shores of spring-fed green pond. The pond's sandy bottom and clear water are great for swimming, canoeing or fishing. Centrally located one hour from portland, freeport and the white mountains, minutes from the oxford casino, shopping, rock hounding, restaurants and the oxford plains speedway and dragway.

The main house was built in 1888. Our family purchased the property in the 1990's and operated as an equestrian/boarding stable. In 1999 the boarding stables were closed and in 2007 we renovated the property to what we have today. An approximately 8,000 Squarefoot facility with the capacity to sleep 15 to 20 people. The house is wide open which is great to accommodate large groups with plenty of room to spare. There are two large TV rooms, a game room with pool table, ping pong, foosball, darts, and a ton of board games. We also have a bunch of yard games including; corn hole, can jam, horse shoes, and bocce with more to come. We also have an indoor pool, exercise room, fire pit and walking trails. Excellent fishing (license required) of large & small mouth bass, pickerel and other lake-type varieties. We’ve caught many a 2+ pound fish that put up a good fight as you reel them in. The sandy beach (unless there’s been excessive rain), new dock (two 4' x 10' and one 6' x 10' sections) and float (8' x 8') offers swimming and water activities for all. Enjoy playing horseshoes and sitting by the outdoor campfire.

One master bedroom downstairs with a queen sized log-framed bed, 2 bedrooms upstairs connected by a loft area overlooking the floor below. One of upstairs bedroom is a large room that includes 4 beds (2 queen, 2 full) while the other more private bedroom has a queen bed. Kitchen/dining room area has two tables for eating, playing games, etc. for all Family members. Living room area has a large sectional sofa with wall-mounted TV. Side-by-side bathrooms on the first floor: One full large bathroom (approx. 8' x 10'), one half-bathroom with convenient washer/dryer laundry area. Offsite from this location, you’ll find convenient food (e.g. Hannaford Supermarket) & retail shopping and many restaurant options (Boomers on Norway Lake is one of our favorites) within a 10-mile radius. Several nice ones have opened within last year (Honey Badger in Oxford, X Vault Pub in S. Paris, Norway Brew Pub, Ox Pub in casino/hotel) There’s many other novelty, craft & antique stores if that perks your interest. Many family activities are available close-by …. Smedberg’s farm for freshly picked corn (late July) and homemade ice cream … Gray Wildlife Park … Cindi’s Dockside Restaurant in Poland … Oxford Speedway w/frequent day/night car racing, or within an hour’s drive if you want to venture further away from Oxford … Bridgton Twin Drive-In and quaint shopping center ... Portland oceanfront for fresh seafood and restaurants/pubs (we love Gritty’s Pub) … North Conway, NH shopping area. The Portland Museum of Art and the Portland Children's Museum are also great day trips as well as watching a Portland Sea Dogs baseball game. Also, try your chance at the nearby Oxford Casino at the top of RT 26 if you feel lucky! We’re close to several public golf courses: Fairlawn, Norway Country Club, Poland Springs, Spring Meadows, Pt.
