We would like to welcome you to beautiful Thompson Lake in Oxford, Maine. Thompson lake is a nine mile long lake, perfect for boating, water skiing, snorkeling and fishing. Our cottage is located on a secluded forest road just feet from the water. We call the location "Blueberry Point" after all the blueberry bushes that grow along the lake shore. You can relax in the peaceful atmosphere, enjoying boating, fishing, and sunbathing on your own private dock.

Explore over 200 ft of water frontage! There is a large level yard with plenty of parking and horseshoe pits and basketball hoops. Also included is a shore-side fire pit, outdoor tables & chairs, dock, a 14' aluminum rowboat w/oars, and registered for up to 9.9hp (your) motor, 17' canoe w/ paddles and life preservers and seat cushions. And for the kids, there is a basketball hoop, swing set and a shallow sandy swimming area, a sand box with toys, rubber balls, croquet set, badminton set and other play toys. There are two public boat ramps within one mile, a motorboat rental company located on the lake, and also available is a sailboat rental Company that delivers to the lake. There is an outdoor propane BBQ grill, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The cottage features a loft and two bedrooms with three full-size beds, one twin bed; and a pull out twin sofa. Sleeps eight.

There are no Covid-19 restrictions or protocols in Maine at the moment, April 2024. Renters must supply all their own sheets, pillows, dish-towels, dish-cloths, hand-towels, and personal bath-towels and face-cloths. Sleeping on mattress pads without sheets or sleeping bags is not allowed. Sleeping bags on beds are allowed.
Owners and renters will comply with all sanitation protocols for Short-term Rentals, including sanitation and surface disinfection, Renters will wash dishes, glasses, cups, silver-ware and cooking pots and pans after use: also, one newly washed mattress cover and blanket will be provided per bed. Efficient two bedroom vintage 1963 mobile home with an attached enclosed porch. It's like stepping into a time warp, mostly an original vintage mobile home from 1963. Appointed with some surviving fixtures and furniture. Also includes a separate roofed picnic cookout shelter 20 steps from beautiful Green Pond.
Located on Green Pond, our cottage offers the best of both worlds: an oasis of peace and quiet that is still within striking distance of Portland, Freeport, the White Mountains and the Maine coast.

Our ranch-style cottage sleeps up to six people. There are two bedrooms, a full bath with tub/shower, a three season porch with pullout, separate covered picnic deck area overlooking green pond. Our cottage has a well appointed kitchen with a full stove, refrigerator, microwave and other small appliances. There is a dining and living room with views of the pond and great outdoors. We provide a canoe, kayak, shared paddle and rowboat, gas grill for outdoor cooking and everything you'll need for your getaway except food. We do not supply linens (sheets) and towels. We do provide dish towels/clothes and bath mat/rug.

You can use our cottage as a home base to enjoy maine's blue skies in the summer, peep at spectacular foliage in the fall or ski and snowmobile in the winter.

We are located on the east shore of green pond in the town of oxford, maine. Our cottage sits in a beautiful pine-wooded setting on the shores of spring-fed green pond. The pond's sandy bottom and clear water are great for swimming, canoeing or fishing. Centrally located one hour from portland, freeport and the white mountains, minutes from the oxford casino, shopping, rock hounding, restaurants and the oxford plains speedway and dragway.

The main house was built in 1888. Our family purchased the property in the 1990's and operated as an equestrian/boarding stable. In 1999 the boarding stables were closed and in 2007 we renovated the property to what we have today. An approximately 8,000 Squarefoot facility with the capacity to sleep 15 to 20 people. The house is wide open which is great to accommodate large groups with plenty of room to spare. There are two large TV rooms, a game room with pool table, ping pong, foosball, darts, and a ton of board games. We also have a bunch of yard games including; corn hole, can jam, horse shoes, and bocce with more to come. We also have an indoor pool, exercise room, fire pit and walking trails. For a minimal charge, launch your own boat from the nearby campground beachfront with no restrictions on engine horsepower and boat size. Excellent fishing (license required) of large & small mouth bass, pickerel and other lake-type varieties. We’ve caught many a 2+ pound fish that put up a good fight as you reel them in. The sandy beach (unless there’s been excessive rain), new dock (two 4' x 10' and one 6' x 10' sections) and float (8' x 8') offers swimming and water activities for all. Enjoy playing horseshoes and sitting by the outdoor campfire.

- "My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was so clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the outdoor spaces, sitting on the deck with beautiful views of the lake, or enjoying the large porch where we ate our meals, played games or relaxed with a book. The dock/lake is a short walk along a wooded path and provided lots of entertainment for everyone. We spent every day enjoying the clear water, swimming, jumping off the dock and using the water toys provided (kayaks and canoe) or those we brought. Every night was a gorgeous sunset over the lake. The pictures do not do the property justice. In fact, the first picture appearing on the site was a bed. A picture of the house or lake/dock would be a better attention grab for potential renters and also including more captions for more accurate descriptions would be helpful. Our unique 1953 Silver Star 35’ mobile home is nestled in the woods along a ridge overlooking a corn field, and is ready for comfortable yet rustic camping. Perfect destination to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet while taking in the beauty around you. It is easily accessible from the farm entrance. Equipped with solar lighting, a butane stove, drinking water and a clean composting toilet just a short walk away. Also available is a gas grill and a fire pit with outdoor furniture.

The space
This is a rare vintage home with many unique features! Pocket doors at each end for privacy, beautiful 1950’s wood cabinets and two sweet porthole doors with screen doors. The bedroom has a full size bed with memory foam mattress and pillows. There is also a full size couch/futon. Stove, sink and faucets are not operational. There is a one burner butane stove available for cooking. Water is provided for doing dishes as well as a plastic tub in the sink. Please empty dish water outside NOT down the drain as it’s not functional. Drinking water is provided in a large ceramic jug with a spigot. There is a large cooler in place of the refrigerator for you to use if desired. (We sell ice in the farm stand.)
There is NO ELECTRICITY or HEAT, but there are solar lights through the home as well as battery operated lanterns. We also provide two battery operated fans.

The fire pit is all set and ready to light. Additional firewood is available at the farm store. There is also a gas grill and outdoor table & chairs.

The very clean composting toilet as well as a sink is just a short walk from the mobile home. There is solar lighting there as well as a lantern. Cleaned weekly.

Check out our farm stand/camp store, where you will find Cathy's jams, local honey, maple syrup, fresh and dried flowers in season, baked goods, fresh eggs, ice for coolers and additional firewood.

You will enter the property by the farm stand. After checking in with us, from there simply follow the “All Sites” sign and look for the “Silver Star” sign on your right. Access is easy and plenty of place to turn your vehicle around.

You are welcome to stroll the property which includes fields, gardens and woods. There are paths through the woods to enjoy as well as a frog pond.

My favorite swimming hole!

Have an old time authentic Maine summer camp experience, with all of the quirky charms Mainers love. The slap of the screen door, that camp smell, long days by the water and a campfire with s’mores a plenty. This is a real camp! You will find no frills here, just a quiet, spring fed pond with a sandy bottom and no motorboats. Enjoy relaxation and reconnecting with the ones you love.

The space
This is a three season camp with no insulation. Nights can be cool even in the summer. Bring cozy clothes to snuggle in and you should be fine. When the weather is raw you can warm up near the wood fire stove. There are space heaters and extra blankets as well. Things can also get hot, when this happens fear not, the pond is at hand. We have fans to help you stay cool.

The water from the taps comes from the pond. It is suitable for washing dishes and showering, but not drinking! We will provide drinking water for you. If you are feeling adventurous during your stay, I can direct you to fresh water springs, where you can collect pure maine water right out of the ground.

We provide, for your convenience, some simple condiments and coffee for at least your first morning. It sleeps 8/10: 2 bedrooms that have queen size beds and 1 large bedroom with a queen and two twins plus an additional finished walk-out basement rec space that includes a full size bed.

There are two bathrooms with towels and basic toiletries. Seasonally, our oversized deck with views of the mountains has seating for everyone and provides a relaxing spot to unwind and star gaze. Our large yard is great for kids to play outdoor games.

The space
Nestled in the woods, on a dirt road is our quaint, cozy, little, water front cabin. King, queen, full and bunk beds. Air conditioning in 2 bedrooms. There are 3 kayaks, a rowboat and a paddle boat for use with limited life jackets. Fishing rods and tackle box, too. Full kitchen, full bathroom (with walk-in shower), and laundry. A big fire pit area for smores after dinner (or before, it's your vacation). Outhouse for quick bathroom breaks while outside. Horse shoe pits and badminton. Maybe just relax in the hammock? You make all the decisions here.

Other things to note
The bunk bed room, is actually the entry way into the house. All windows have blinds, there is a privacy curtain and the door locks. The bunk beds have cot mattresses.
Provided for you : 2 bath towels and 2 face cloths per person. 2 hand towels, 2 dish towels, 1 dish mat, 3 pot holders. a sponge, sos pad and dishcloth for wiping counters/tables.
To get you started: 1 roll of paper towels on holder and 1 extra, 1 toilet paper on dispenser plus 2 back up. 1 coffee Kcup per adult. (plus 1 extra) for your first morning.( Tea bags, powdered creamer and sugar/splenda provided)
2 (free and clear) Tide pods for washer. 2 bounce dryer sheets for dryer. A basket of some "extras" that may have been forgotten, is in the bathroom, feel free to use what you may have forgotten.
Things like condiments and seasonings will be left from prior renters, your's to use if needed. That is your own discretion.
Firewood not provided. Big Apple, Rooper's liquor store and a couple of private homes, all located on route 26, sell firewood.

Perfect house for the outdoor lover! Sit outside by the fire pit at night and hear the owls and loons, watch the deer and other wildlife walk right by. Our 6 bedroom home is right on the ATV trails and a short walk to the private association lake with dock. The house can sleep up to 15 people comfortably. Great place to fish, hike and make great memories. The house comes full of outdoor games and rafts for the lake. It is a perfect house for large groups and families.

The space
With calm spring fed water right outside your back door, you won't have any delay when it comes to fishing, swimming, or launching some kayaks out first thing in the morning. The pond water level fluctuates with rain etc.
As days heat up, crack open some cold beverages and kick back on the beach or gather at the sunroom table for an alfresco meal with a view. And when the sun goes down, the firepit will be just the place to tell stories under the stars.When you are ready for a bit of downtime inside, the interior has all of the rustic touches of a secluded cabin while still giving you modern comforts including 40 inch smart tv, high- speed WiFi, streaming capabilities, board games and puzzles and a full kitchen.
Speaking of the kitchen, be sure to bring along some of your favorite recipes to whip up with ease using the electric stove, full fridge, stocked with cooking and serving essentials.
Lake drawn water for cooking and cleaning, showers etc. not for drinking. We will supply a gallon of spring water but you’ll want to bring more depending on how much you drink.
Wood stoves are not for use. Seasonal cabin and we close it mid October. No heat source. If you book at the end of sept, bring warm clothes.
