There were 3 huge dead roaches when first arrived. And seemed like down hair was on the sofa. Quiet neighborhood though. Not a lot of in or out of other tenants. - "I stayed at this apartment on Park Ave, and the interior decor was nice. I like the vibe and furntiture. The closets are spacious, and the kitchen is updated for all the comforts. So glad there's a water filter pitcher on site as it's not always wise to drink Dallas's tap water. The bathroom is older, but nice. I struggled throughout my stay, though. There was a spot cooler in the living room, so I didn't check the thermostat until I was leaving. It was set at 55. Due to this, the apartment held moisture, so the bedding was damp. Also, a rug in the bedroom would be a huge help in keeping the sound from echoing. When I woke up in the morning, there were bugs in the kitchen. Mostly mosquitos, but there was one that I wasn't quite sure about, so it was released outside the apartment. I was in town for my friend's wedding, so I basically just slept there. Each time I walked back in the space, there was a mildew smell. I did make the manager aware. If you're familiar with Dallas, then you know a lot of the current apartments in certain areas used to be hotels back in the day. This is accurate for the location, so don't be concerned at the older exterior. I think a couple of things could be communicated better (such as the thermostat, when to use the spot cooler) and a couple additional items could help (rug in the bedroom, de-humidifier for the space). Overall, though, it's a cool spot for a longer stay, but I'd recommend a hotel for a short stay."

- "The unit I stayed in was accurately depicted in the photos. It was clean and well stocked. The Brita jug was great because I didn't need to buy drinking water. The week nights were quiet and restful, but noises outside picked up during the weekend. The kitchen and bathroom was very clean. The apartment complex (The Sutton on Park Lane) was easy to get to. However–for a first time visitor–the exact location of the unit within the apartment complex is very difficult to find, because of the unusual numbering of each unit and the layout of the apartment buildings. It would've been nice to have had a map of the apartment complex showing the exact location of the unit I was going to stay at, plus where exactly to find the pool, the fitness center, and other amenities. Regarding the pass code; I was told in an earlier email that it would be the last four digits of the primary number used in my reservation. I assumed it was the last 4 digits of my cell phone number. Then as I arrived in Dallas, the property manager texted a different pass code. At the front door, I tried the code that was texted to me, but it didn't work. Then I tried the last four digits of my cell number. I texted the property manager, who responded immediately. I was able to get in via a door key. It wasn't a long wait, but after arriving from a long trip, it was a frustrating experience. I later couldn't find any garbage bags in the unit, but the property manager came by later to supply some."

- "Husband had major surgery very convenient to hospital. Everything was neat and clean. " - "Property was appealing because of its location to the Medical District and it had a single excellent review. It was a risk and I took it unfortunately. We messaged the owner that we were in town for a surgery and recovery stay. We arrived at the property late at night and became concerned once we arrived. The overall property looked dilapidated with broken down cars and some unit windows had duct tape holding them together. The property immediately felt unsafe and not “charming” as listed. We could not park in the designated numbered spot because of rocks and debris. The main security gate to access the apartment was propped open with a rock and had the electrical cords ripped out of the call box. When we reached the building number, we found the unit was a third story walk up with steep stairs. The Property Description nor the Accessibility portion of the description mentioned anything about three flights of stairs. There’s a reason there’s no exterior photos. We were able to access the unit and it had newer finishes. We could not stay here as my husband would not be able to navigate three flights of stairs after surgery and we didn’t feel safe at this property in general, much less getting out for short walks, etc. I did contact the owner about the safety concerns and not advising about three flights of stairs. His response was “I should have asked”. He did offer another property further away but had one bedroom only—not what we needed. This property is not as advertised."
