Solidly middle class, academics, musicians, engineers etc make this neighborhood their home for its serenity and unique style. The houses are spaced far apart, so there's plenty of privacy. Surrounded by conservation land with numerous hiking trails and carriage roads, trees and nature abound.

Other things to note:

The yard is mostly wild! There is room for 4-6 cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the street overnight. Please leave used towels and linens(with the exception of blankets and comforters) in the upstairs bathtub upon departure. Though the house can potentially sleep up to 10 people, the dining room table seats 6. There is another 6 chairs and a picnic table on the back porch for additional people. If you are a large group, take short showers to insure there is enough hot water for everyone. Lexington short term rental regulations require that hosts maintain a log book with the full names and ages of all those staying at the house. Shortly before check-in, guests must submit the full names and ages of all those staying at the house.

We book the house based upon the number of people in a given group, as the house sleeps 10 and we get more for larger groups. If you book the house and then want to revise the number of guests down, we likely will not offer a refund for the reduction in guests. This is decided on a case by case basis. If you anticipate a possible reduction in guests at booking, bring it to our attention and we will consider it.

- "This property is pretty much at the end of the road of a beautiful area in Lexington/Bedford. Very little traffic concerns. The house was really nice, Mid Century style with plenty of windows to see the greenery beyond. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of open space and a covered porch. Most everything you need in the kitchen. Could use an updated stove and a Kuerig. Convenient to train stations into Boston, I95 to points north and south and the Burlington mall. Several restaurants within 20 miles without having to use I95. We enjoyed our trips to Boston, Portland ME and the beach. And our downtime at the house. The surrounding neighborhoods are so refreshing and calm with forestry. The owner communicated throughout our stay, the house was clean, the property maintained. We would stay here again. Next to a beautiful woodsy park, this is a spacious (~2000 sqft) secondary unit (like one of Duplex townhouse units in a structure, half of a big house) which has its own private entry/exit.

Outdoor pool in the yard is open from June to September [no lifeguard!].

There are backyard chickens so if you'd like, host can provide some farm fresh eggs. -:)

Come vacation in luxury in a recently renovated finished basement all to your self! You have your own entrance and no shared spaces! The main bedroom has a full size fridge, microwave, cooktop & cozy queen size bed. There is heat and AC, pots and pans to cook with, and in 2nd bedroom/living area, a pull out sofa that sleeps up to two. The house is in a safe, suburban, upscale area only 35 minutes from Boston (outside rush hour). There is a grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants nearby.

Other things to note
We do have a young child upstairs who you may hear from time to time but she sleeps 9-11 hours through the night.

Throw pillows smelt like old feet on one side and lysol on the other. Rugs in room were dirty and not moved to clean under or vacuumed. Bring your own water for the "water" from the fridge as stated is just a half filled pitcher."

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. The bedroom is a converted musician and sound studio. It is also very quiet and excellent for writing or playing your guitar. There is a kitchenette/dining/living room area next to the bedroom, including table, chairs, tv, couch, coffee/microwave/kettle/sink/ refrigerator. There is a full bathroom with washer/dryer.

The Space:
In this space you have parking at your own private entrance. There is an outdoor patio with table and chairs. The bedroom holds one queen bed and one twin bed. There is a living room with couch, tv, kitchenette, table and chairs. The large music room bedroom, living room and kitchenette are on the same level as the entrance, and the bathroom is one step up. The shower is on the smaller size, 30” x30”. The suite contains full-sized refrigerator, microwave, keurig coffee setup, and a table and chairs. There is a kitchen sink and prep counter, dishwasher, and multi-oven on counter. There are some high windows in the entryway. There is a large window and french door in the oversized bedroom. Note: the glass has a blur coating for privacy.

The whole bedroom is a “room in a room” acoustic space. Curved panels on ceiling, sound absorbing panels, no parallel walls. Electric guitar and amp are here. Bring your own instrument. Just no drums or bass please. Stunning professional sound quality.

The space is close to everything (Starbucks, train, historic sites). Easy parking, and very quiet and private inside.
There is also a queen airbed in the closet if needed.

VRBO WARNING: If you are booking through VRBO, please be warned that you will not be able to change your reservation. VRBO does not support changes with integrated property management software, which many hosts use (Guesty). I recommend that guests book through AIRBNB instead since it supports changes and cancellations without any problems.

Guest Access:
This is a private suite with no shared areas.

Park in the driveway and walk right into your room.

Other Things to Note:
Heat and AC:
Using the white remote, choose mode of SUN icon for HEAT then set temp to your heat setting, or choose the SNOWFLAKE and set the ac to your COOL setting. Choose fan AUTO to let the machine attain this temp, otherwise fan just stays on permanently. to start the system, click ON while pointing the remote at the wall unit.

TV: streaming services only, no cable.

Please do not go into the back yard through gate or glass doors as that is owner’s private space.

Interaction with Guests:
We give you as much privacy as possible and we will be going about our own days as well. If you need us we will do my best to be helpful but we may be at work or busy. Please call my cell if there is an emergency, but otherwise please communicate through this app for messaging.

- "Would definitely stay again! Spacious living area and bedroom. Love the sofa and the very comfortable bed. The soundproofing in the bedroom made it wonderful for sleeping. Great location within 1/2 mile walk of the main town area. Host is lovely. Will add a note of caution to be mindful that there is a full step down from the bathroom doorway to the living area as well as a bit of an elevation change at the doorway from the living room to the bedroom. I got used to it but after stumbling a couple times the first day. (I tend to walk quickly and may not have given due attention.)"
