This is a lower level unit! You will access the unit from the side of the house with an electronic keypad and will be sent the code on the day of check in. The kitchen is brand new- equipped with an oven, stove and full size fridge. The dining table can accommodate 6 people. The living room is spacious- a desk is provided, electric fire place and smart TV. There are two bedrooms- queen tempurpedic beds, small dressers and closet space available!

This is a residential neighborhood/suburb. The house has many fast food chains within a 5 minute drive. Grocery store, King Soopers, is also 10 minutes away.

To get to more trendy, established areas- head into Denver which is 15 minutes away or Boulder which is 25 minutes away. You can get to a front-range hike within 30 minutes. Hop on route 36 or Hwy 70 and be connected to all the major attractions Colorado has to offer. Train station to downtown Denver is 5 minutes away, uber/lyft are readily available.

I have a very detailed guest book with hike, dining and activity recommendations for Denver, Boulder and mountain towns. Day trips to the mountains can easily be done, with expected travel times between 1-2 hours, per way.

Other things to note
As mentioned, this is a lower level unit of a two unit duplex. You may hear the other tenants who live upstairs, but they are held to the same quiet hours of 10 pm-8 am and will not host events.

HEAT/AC IS CONTROLLED UPSTAIRS. The house will be kept 66-70 degrees, please let host know if you are uncomfortable. THE BASEMENT CAN GET COOLER WHEN THE A/C IS RUNNING! Important to understand this before booking. There is a space heater located in each bedroom closet in case you need it. The electric fireplace has temperature settings as well.

If staying for extended time, you can find cleaning supplies under the stairs in the kitchen. Detergent/dryer sheets are located in cabinet above washer/dryer.

A set of bedding for the couch can be found in the back bedroom closet.

Netflix is provided, but this a smart TV so feel free to log in to your own apps and be sure to log out prior to departure!

There is no outlet behind desk, but you can find extension cord behind TV stand.

Garbage is every Tuesday morning, please plan accordingly if staying extended periods of time. Recycling is every other week.

After a day of thunderstorms and hail, we returned to a flooded place. Our kid's bedroom was the worst, covered with water. The whole place was flooded from our bedrooms, to the living room, and the kitchen. Everything was wet! After almost 5 hours of waiting, we had to leave the residence. This is the worst experience we've ever had with a host. If they would have been more responsive and cleaned it up within a reasonable time, we would have considered staying. But that didn't happen. We filed a complaint for a refund. Let's see how long this takes."

As it was not a vacation, we elected to stay in a humble home. The only issue with the unit was that the bathroom faucet handle continuously fell off every time we used it. However, what was bothersome was that although we were not in the home during the day, the manager accused us of making noise all day and night, and that we needed to be considerate of the tenants living below. Additionally that we needed to turn up the thermostat in our unit because the tenants in the below unit were cold. Our trip to Denver was to address family issues and not to manage the complex. The cat has full reign of the house, so please remember to fully close any exterior doors when coming and going from the property.

It is important to us to support our local recycling community, so we provide 2 waste receptacles inside the house. Black one for trash and blue for recycling. Please rinse any recycling before placing it in the blue bin. Thanks again!

During your stay
We live on the other side of the house and are available if you need anything. If you leave the door ajar our cat, Sahara, will likely say hi.

She is an indoor cat only so be sure she doesn’t sneak to the outside

The Grand Suite is the perfect stay for singles, couples, small-families, and/or travelers whether for leisure or work. The Grand Suite is on the lower level of a home and it is setup like a 1-bedroom apartment. Wake up in your relaxing Suite and get your day started with fresh coffee or tea before exploring Denver. After your day... come home, cozy up, and login to your streaming account and put on a movie in the living room. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed, work space, and lounge chair perfect for relaxing, reading, or working.

We live upstairs and we had our first baby boy August 20, 2024!! We’re so excited and apologize in advance for any noise that may carry. We provide a noise machine and ear plugs if it gets too loud.

You have access to the entire bottom guest suite that includes its own private room, private bathroom, private kitchenette with laundry, and private living area. It's not a basement, but a garden level space underneath the top floor with large windows that let in an abundance of natural light. You also have access to park one car on the WEST (left) driveway. You DO NOT have access to the backyard.

We the hosts do live on the top level of the home 🏡 and we apologize in advance of any movement and/or noise upstairs. We provide a white noise machine and ear plugs to ensure you have a peaceful stay. We may see you entering and/or leaving the property so please don't be alarmed of this whatsoever. Our space includes a kitchenette with complete cooking and dining utensils. 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a separated office space. Our living room offers board games, card games, and puzzles-for a fun night in-and a 2nd queen bed. Our 1 bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and a hair dryer and hair straightener for your use. The space is also equipped with an air hockey table and a dartboard which sets our getaway apart! Enjoy the fenced in backyard as you please, including the fire pit.

Guest access
Your unit is accessed from the backyard upon entering the wooden gate in the driveway, please do no try to enter the main unit; your code will not work. Our backyard and deck is available for your use, including the bbq grill but we ask that you let us know if you plan on using the grill so we make sure it is ready for use (especially during non-summer stays). You are also welcomed to the fire pit and wood out there, just be mindful of safety (turning fire off etc).

Other things to note
Note that this is the basement level and there is a flight of stairs to get to your entire unit upon entering.

We live upstairs with a puppy and an orange cat who like to spend some time in the backyard, so you may catch a glimpse of them.

You might hear us occasionally but we adhere to quiet hours.

The temperature is controlled from the upstairs unit but please reach out if you’d like it adjusted and we’d happily do so!
