Casablanca is only available a few times each summer, it is our family home and we fill it up often.

Casablanca was completed in 1896 and we are the third family to take care of it. In 1961 my parents bought the home and kept the history. Most of the furniture is original and our guests feel like they are stepping back in time.

The home comes compete with everything you will need for a fantastic stay. From satellite TV, WI-FI, full kitchen and grills, lawn games and equipment, fire pit with cut wood, swim rafts and fishing tackle, stand up paddle-boards and kayaks and canoes and sailboats, all set up for your use.

If we don't have it we can arrange for you to get it, whatever you need to make this the greatest vacation, reunion, weddings, parties.

We have lived here for almost 60 years and and look forward to showing you whats so special about Casablanca and The River.

- "This is one of those reviews you sort of hate to write because you don't want everyone to find out about a place that's so special. Yet in fairness to Phil and Nancy, I must. The house, Casa Blanca, is everything in the pictures, and more. It still has the grand feel of the 1800s, but with updated conveniences. 16 women artists came to the island to write and paint, and it was fabulous. First, it was plenty big for 16. The many bedrooms are comfortable and some are fantastic. There is not a window you can look out that doesn't have a breathtaking view. Boldt Castle is just across the bay. The property is expansive, with lots of places to explore , a gazebo, gargoyles that were once signals during prohibition and hammocks for lazy afternoons. Perhaps best of all, Phil and Nancy are consummate hosts. They ferreid us to and from the mainland when necessary, gave advice on stores and restaurants, and let us treat their home as our own. I'd be remiss not to mention that Luke is the most agreeable handyman on the planet. Sometimes you give a place five stars because there wasn't anything wrong with it and the owners are nice. Casa Blanca is the kind of place that truly rises above, what 5 stars were meant for. A magical place, that, once you've been, you dream of going back as soon and as often as possible. There is a flat backyard for family activities in the grass and a lovely front deck. Don't let the stairs in the photo scare you off. This gorgeous six bedroom cottage is in Westminster Park on Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands. As one of the larger islands, Wellesley Island is accessible by car.

The house is on one acre, has six bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two large living rooms and an enormous (about 50 feet long) beautiful screened-in porch, which also wraps around the side of the house. The house overlooks the water and is across from Boldt Castle (see photo). There is a small beach in front of the house, a boat house, and dock. The property is in a bay and therefore is great for swimming, fishing, and boating. Alexandria Bay is on the other side of Boldt Castle and an easy trip (five to ten minutes by boat or 15-20 minutes by car).

The kitchen and one bathroom have been significantly upgraded recently. The entire house has also been rewired for safety and convenience.

The house has six bedrooms: One bedroom has a queen, one has a full, one has a king (which could be divided into two singles), two bedrooms each have two single beds in them; and one bedroom has three single beds. Around the corner on the 50-foot long porch is another full sized bed.

The house is also about one mile from the TI Country Club, a beautiful club with 36 holes of great golf, a restaurant, a pool, tennis courts and a reputation for 1000 Islands hospitality that goes back over a hundred years.

Our magical hideaway in the beauty of the Thousand Islands sleeps up to 10. This is the perfect place for a family to gather or a group of friends to relax and get away from it all. Our home, The Rectory, has 3 bedrooms and a sleeping porch. It has 2 full baths, washer and dryer upstairs and a half bath downstairs. The well equipped kitchen makes it easy to eat in or heat your favorites from home.
As you arrive at our wooded driveway you will love the mossy grounds, tall trees and porches.
There are plenty of windows to let the dappled light in. Our collection of local art gives interest to the clean white walled rooms with beautiful dark wood floors. Both new and antique furniture are mixed to offer interest and comfort.
The kitchen near the main entrance has a great island for drinking coffee and hanging out. The kitchen has large counters making it the perfect place to cook. There is a dishwasher, large refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. It is stocked with stainless steel pots and pans as well as basic baking equipment.
With a treehouse like feeling, the beds are on the second floor. Looking out of each window gives the feeling of being in the treetops.
A large screened in sleeping porch on the second floor has a lot to offer. There are two futon bunk beds with a single on top and a double on the bottom. The double can be made into a couch for lounging and reading books. There is a swinging chair and a table and chairs for playing cards or relaxing in the woods. Imagine waking up to the summer birds beautiful songs and the sounds of leaves rustling in the fresh summer breeze.
The Primary bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and a mini crib, it has a private feeling at the end of the house with four windows and two large closets. Charming 125+ year old boathouse apartment on Cherry Island which is the closest island from Alexandria Bay going toward the 1000 Island Bridge. This 3 bedroom apartment sleeps 6-8 and includes a covered slip for your use. You will also be able to use a portion of Cherry Island for spreading out. The boathouse is fully equipt with games and water and lawn toys. We have kayaks and row boats and canoes and some kids fishing stuff. There are rafts and tubes to use in the water.

We purchased this home in 2019 and have completely rehabbed it. Two bedrooms and two full baths are offered in this rental. 1 king w ensuite shower and 1 queen across from 2nd full bath.Quartz countertops in the kitchen, gas range/oven. dw. washer/dryer and microwave are there for you. Linens and towels included in the rental. No direct river access, however the state park is less than two mi from property. slips and ramps there. we can accommodate up to 2 vehicles w boat trailers on the paved drwy and the gravel pull thru.

Our clean, comfortable, and modern home situated on the edge of the Thousand Islands Club Lake Golf Course, is a great location for that family vacation to the 1000 Islands. Take a pleasant walk or short drive to two 18-Hole golf courses, two nearby restaurants, and the historic Boldt Castle and Boldt Yacht House attraction during the summer months.

We can accommodate four guests comfortably but up to six guests upon request. and approval, for an additional fee. It is important to note that the third "loft bedroom", which could accommodate the extra guests, is accessible only by ladder (you will see in the photos) from the second floor bedroom.

My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups. This gorgeous 5 bedroom cottage is located on the main shipping channel river side of the beautiful Thousand Islands. It is centrally located near shopping and dining for convenience, but with the feel of escaping to an island. Moved across the ice around 1900 it became the country club for George Boldt's prestigious golf course.

Inside, the cottage has a combined kitchen/living room with a dining table for 6. Kitchen is stocked with pots/ pans, dishes, utensils and some pantry items and cleaning supplies. Kitchen has a stove/oven, air fryer and microwave. Mini split provides heat/ac for the home. There is wi-fi as well as a direct tv basic package on the 3 smart tvs. (living room and in bedrooms 1 and 3.) There are 3 bedrooms (bedroom 1-queen and twin futon chair; bedroom 2-1 queen; bedroom 3-2 full size beds) 1 bathroom and a combined kitchen/living room with sofa bed. A deck off the living room offers a great view of the lake. As you walk down the stairs towards the water, you will find a charcoal grill and smoker as well as a screenhouse with a table and chairs to enjoy meals outside.

This is our paradise at the end of a wooded road set on a private 3 acre peninsula with 850 feet of waterfront! It has 2 fire pits, rocky coves to watch the sunset, and 3 acres of flat land that allows children to run and explore. We are 12 minutes from Abay and Clayton. The fishing off the shore is amazing and instantly rewarding for little ones.. We also have 2 kayaks and 1 paddle board available for use.

The space
UPDATE FOR OUR REPEAT and NEW GUESTS-

We have added a well so the the water is now drinkable and a large party deck for lounging and jumping. We have also redone the bathroom.

We do ask that all guests bring their own bedding and pillows. We will supply a comforter for each bed. If you have been there, you see the outside tracks in very easily. It was impossible to keep sheets in pristine condition as we wanted to present to our guests. Thank you and we look forward to having you back!


Why we chose this space....

We camped in the 1000 Islands for 5 years. After 2 years of finding all the hidden treasures of the islands, we began looking for a place to make our own. We passed this place by boat and saw a for sale sign. Although we had seen this online, we never thought it was worth visiting.

We jumped off the boat to see this property. We knew this was the place for us the MINUTE we stepped foot on the property, before we even saw the house! Rider Place is the first cottage on the Lake of the Isles. The 3 acres offers vast rocks with mini trails behind them that leave so many hidden adventures. We also have a small island, Whonna Island, off the property to explore. Our children have found over 5 swimming spots and tiny, magical fairy houses to build on. They also love the space to practice their sports and play hide and seek with their friends.

We truly think we have a gem in the Lake of the Isles. Not only is it very private, but close to all of the famous places in the islands.

Other things to note
Our place is very unique in that its 850ft of water front, 3 acres and backs up to acres of woods. With that being said, you can see otters, fish, porcupines, turtles, turkeys, owls and many other birds. You may also come across some unique spiders, harmless water snakes and various bugs. In a document I send once booked, I give all the tips and tricks on how to be as bug free as possible. What our guests love the most is the outside of property!

When you arrive at the property, you sill see a sign out front. Slow down when you get to the fork in the road, right near the mailboxes. Make a right into the driveway and drive to the top of the hill for unloading.

Smoking is not allowed on the property because our cottage is wooden and we are doing everything to guard against a fire.

You will not have to park in a distant lot and trek items to your cottage. However, additional cars will need to park in the public lot at the top of the street.

Our main home is in Ithaca, NY but we had been living in Asia between 2014-2020. We were extremely fortunate to be able to come back to the River every summer for a few weeks. The space
Original 1901 Thousand Island Park cottage with original worksheet and a blend of old world style and modern amenities.

The house has five bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is downstairs suite. One of the upstairs bedrooms also connects to a sleeping porch. One bedroom has air conditioning, one has a ceiling fan, and the other bedrooms have table fans.

The house has a full 'camp kitchen' with Refrigerator, Freezer, Gas Stove and Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, plus numerous Small Appliances such as Crock Pot, Rice Cooker, Instant Pot with Air Fryer, Bread Maker, and includes almost every imaginable cooking and serving utensil. The cottage offers a washer and dryer as well.

Guest access
Guests have use of the entire cottage, except for the toolshed, attic, and one storage closet. There is a 'second refrigerator' and a pantry closet which we do not consider "guest-ready" but if guests choose, they may access and use what is there. We leave a small supply supply of coffee, milk or cream, and sugar, as well as olive oil, vinegar, and a few seasonings.

Other things to note
This is a no exceptions NO SMOKING property. No parties or events without explicit permission from owners. WE OWN A CAT AND A DOG! If you have pet allergies, you probably do not want to stay here. If you love cats, our scaredy cat would love to stay on the property, mostly under the cottage, but if you don't love cats, we will take her with us. We do ask that guests water the three flower boxes once daily.

2nd floor has 2 large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed with a full bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi tub and standing shower. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and full bath with shower only.
Lower level/Bonus room has 2 queen beds, a desk and sitting area. There is no bathroom on this level. Closest bathroom is at the top of the stairs on the first level.
BRANDE NEW Beautiful Dock - there is a shared fixed dock off of the fixed dock is your personal floating dock - easily fit a 35-40ft boat.

The InnKeepers rooms are in their own wing of this 10 room English Country B&B. The history and the location make this a wonderful getaway. Located on a golf course, next to a marina, near a state park and most importantly... in the 1000 Islands! You'll have a grand experience at the Hart House.

Open and spacious the InnKeeper King is furnished with wicker, looks out over the garden and is quiet. It shares an off-suite bathroom with it's twin room.

The South Bay Bungalow is located in the historic Thousand Islands Park. The home has four bedrooms, with possibilities of additional sleeping areas. Spacious front porches, both lower and upper, offer some of the most beautiful sunset viewing.

The end of Bay Shore Avenue leads to a Victorian style home that sleeps as many as 10 guests, and has endless possibilities of memories for family and friends. Star gazing, lazy porch lunches, walks on the nature center trails, and views of the St. Lawrence River abound.

Enjoy the river life paddleboarding, or kayaking. Both
options are provided on the property. Dock space is available for up to a 24' boat, or just sit and take in the
views any time of year.

If you don't have that boat to experience the magnificent river, a guided pontoon cruise with a licensed captain may be available for a fee.

We ask that the garden conservatory be fully enjoyed, along with the vegetables and herbs grown in the garden through the season. The third floor offers an observatory for the star gazer or a unique place to read a favorite book.
