Hosts Adri and Michael have thought of and provided everything that you might possibly need, they anticipated every need of their guests. Both Game Rangers, they were at our disposal during the entire stay and if we needed assistance or had a question it was taken care of immediately. Vehicles for game-drives right at our house, ready to go. Recommend the sunrise and sundown times for this. They have a wealth of knowledge during the drives and shared interesting information about the trees, plants, birds, the wild animals and the reptiles. A Big 5 Reserve, we personally went on 6 gamedrives and saw everything we could wish for up close. We thoroughly enjoyed the stops with snacks, coffee and Amarula. Recommended for family and friend reunions (we are expats from NYC). For tourists, this will be an amazing time with personal attention and private gamedriveswhenever you want. They also have an option and will arrange for staff to help service the place if you are really lazy, we might take advantage of this during our next stay. A charming self catering 3 bedroom guesthouse set in the heart of the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve a mere 1 hour drive from Johannesburg. The accommodation consists of a 1 bedroom main house complete with a en suite bathroom, large fully equipped kitchen with a lounge and large outside patio, next to the main house there is a 2 bedroom guest cottage with a full bathroom and kitchenette. The property is well secured with keypad access allowing the guests to come and go as they please.

The space
The guest house is set on a fenced off 3 hectare well maintained property with a central Braai area and swimming pool, only used by the owners when guest are not around. The well trained staff ensure the accommodation is always clean and well kept while not interfering with your stay. Simply arrive, un-pack and relax and let your host know if their is anything you want to do or need and they will be happy to attend to your needs and advise you in the right direction.

The first lapa is equipped with a bar counter, built-in steel braai, 6-chair dining table and refrigerator. The second lapa features a braai boma for making a bushveld braai, gorgeous stone-built double braai and a large catering area with fold-up tables and chairs. We also have a separate braai boma with wooden picket fencing all around, in case the winter breeze makes for an unpleasant outside experience.

A Big Swimming Pool offers relieve from Africa's warm sun during the heat of the day. An outside shower and bath heated by an old traditional ‘Donkey’ offers a true unique experience, where one can rinse off the night’s sleep or day’s hard work in the beauty of mother nature.

The farm have three separate boreholes, one which supplies water by pump to the facilities and two of which are pumped by hand for filling of the animal’s water holes. The farm of 21Ha has foot roads which are available for use by our clients to enjoy the fauna and flora.

Lion's Den game lodge is situated in Pride of Africa in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, Big 5 area. We rent out the lodge exclusively to one group only so privacy is guaranteed. Minimum of 16 guests and maximum of 32 guests sharing - 16ensuite rooms. Perfect venue for birthday celebrations/ family getogethers/intimate weddings and conferencing. Self catering but do offer catering options. Wifi/dstv/ice machine/pool table/boma/swimming/daily servicing/game drives can be arranged.
