- "Great to stay over night before catching ferry home , lovely to walk down the beach in the evening , lots of food places. " - "Friendly lady reception staff at the Hotel Arcs where we collected our key for our apartment 604, receptionist walked out of hotel to point to the green garage gates for our secure parking which was underneath the apartments and a couple of minutes walk away. The apartment was spacious and light, kitchen a bit tired but more than adequate, plenty of utensils and very clean. Only used the one bedroom, bed was firm which suited us, white cotton sheets. Sitting area relaxing and spacious. Was rainy so we didn't use the terrace area which had 2 sun loungers and a dining table and chairs. Beach was about 8 min stroll away, with bars and restaurants along the way. We ate in hotel Isabel where the staff were friendly and helpful in recommendations off the menu. We were only doing a stop over from Bilbao ferry on way to Portugal, but would definitely stay again and time permitting a couple of days more."

- "We had a lovely stay in the apartment, which is located on the edge of Isla, but well in walking distance of the center and beaches. We enjoyed having breakfast in the small garden as well as dinner- we used the bbq several times. There are also good and affordable options for eating out in Isla We also enjoyed playing padel, the court is a bit worn-down, but still fine to play on. We did not use the swimming pool, but we did observe it was rarely crowded. The sea was just perfect, we mostly went to the largest, most popular (though not very crowded) guarded beach bordering on a bay where the water was shallow and calm, but there are two other beaches that you can walk to from there, which are a bit more rugged with no guards and not crowded at all. There are many excursions you can do from Isla, we recommend visiting Santander, Bilbao and the Cueva El Soplao (caves). José is a very friendly host, he awaited us when we arrived Saturday evening, being very flexible, as we had to adjust our arrival time several times due to traffic. All in all it was a perfect holiday."
