- "We stayed in this lovely property for a week and had the best experience. The villa itself is fantastic - it has everything you could possibly need including a bbq and pizza oven for lovely chilled evenings in its beautiful grounds. The kitchen is fully equipped too. Watch out for the mosquitos eating outside though - we found lighting citronella candles helped. The outside area is beautiful - the pool is huge (12 metres) and the grounds are very well kept. We spent most of our days with our kids here and had a great time playing. The villa provides all the towels too so you can pack light ;-) The area is very remote however everything is a short drive away - there are many amazing restaurants and wineries right on your doorstep. We would recommend Adega do Sossego in Melgaco and Monte da Mina Steakhouse in Moncao - both excellent food and service if you don't fancy cooking. Valenca is a little further afield for food but is well worth a visit to its town which is situated in a very old fort. Everything here was wonderful for us and the family were so kind and welcoming - communication was always easy and helpful. We would love to come back soon!"
