- "I would love to give this a 5 star review but and I am very sorry that I can't, because for us the stay did not turn out to be what we had hoped. The flat is in a perfect location in the middle of Tenby - bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants all at your doorstep. The beach only a short walk away so it could not be in a better position. The views from the apartment are breathtaking and the apartment itself is beautifully furnished. So why only give it 2 stars? For us, our long weekend was totally ruined because of the state of the apartment. It was dirty everywhere. At most, the cleaner might have tidied up the place (see photos of attached of some cleaning I did with some anti-bacterial wipes I had brought). The floors must have not been cleaned properly for months, there were bread crumbs on the table as well as all across the chairs, chocolate stains on the sofa, blood and snot stains on the bedding, blood stains on the bath mat - it was literally outrageous. I also doubt that the carpet has been hoovered properly. I still cannot believe that a flat with that price would be left so incredibly dirty and it totally ruined the experience for me, which is a real shame. What was done? I phoned the company, who manages it but they did not come up with a great solution. They told me that management would call me to see what can be done but I am yet to receive that call (it's been a week now). "

Nestled in the heart of the Preseli Hills, surrounded by the famous blue stones, ancient burial chambers and beautiful walks, if you are looking for a remote, tranquil get away this is the perfect place.
The coastal town of Newport is five miles away. Full of character with cafés and pubs serving excellent food, though during the holiday season booking is advisable.
The nearest beaches are seven miles away and the Pembrokeshire coast path is ideal for walking with its wild and beautiful views.

The space
Self-contained room with sleeping platform in what was once the end of a cowshed. Adjacent, private use shower room with electric shower, toilet and washbasin.
The room has its own entrance and a utility corner with sink, fridge, simple cooking facilities, kettle and toaster. There is a breakfast table and chairs and a futon settee. The platform is accessed by a ladder which pushes vertical when not in use. Please note the platform is quite high and headroom is limited. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. If you wish to use the futon settee as an alternative sleeping arrangement please let me know.
There is a small Hobbit wood burning stove for use on chilly evenings. I will provide a basket of firewood and kindling for use in the stove but if you need extra for an outside fire please provide your own.
The room itself is compact but the outside space is very extensive!
We are situated on the edge of the Preseli hills with beautiful views and walks from the gate. There is use of your own secluded garden with a fire pit. On a clear night the stars in the dark skies are beautiful.
There is internet access, which can be intermittent at times, but no television.

Trallwyn Bach Cottage Studio is full of charm, ideal for a low cost self catering holiday, it is small+has a small kitchen+living area+very small shower room+king size cave bed overlooking the moors~sheep+wild ponies grazing. It has a woodburner+electric heating+is tucked away next to the moor+just 5 minutes walk to Gors Fawr stonecircle-the same era as Stonehenge. Ideal for a retreat, romantic break+for walkers. Bach is wifi free atm, however you can get onto wifi on a garden bench closeby.

The cottages are all beautiful...the studio is the smallest...and hidden away on the edge of the moor...private and ideal for couples or single people...or for a retreat...

Trallwyn Bach cottage studio has a small living area, a small kitchen...and a very small shower room with loo and sink with limited head room in the shower...and a big bed overlooking the moor where wild ponies + sheep graze. It is a beautiful + quirky place to stay...and most importantly has a small woodstove! We do have larger cottages if you prefer more space...the studio is our smallest place to stay...

Many people want to escape to the country and have a break from technology and we now have a choice of places to stay, some with and some without internet. Lately we have been getting a very good mobile phone signal with EE.

Trallwyn Bach has no wifi inside...there is however a garden bench and table behind the cottages where people can connect to wifi.




Walking the Preseli Hills and the beautiful coastal path with it's many bays and beaches + catching glimpses of dolphins in the Cardigan Bay...you can also collect firewood and have a fire in the firepit out on the moor...just as the sun sets behind the hills...

Fuel...The first basket of logs is included in the price after which you can buy more locally. Also the electricity is on a £1 coin meter set at cost price....

Please note the shower room is very small and there limited headroom in the shower...if this could be a problem please choose one of the larger cottages...alternatively we have a shower room for campers with plenty of headroom which you are welcome to use.

If you want to bring a pet...pets are sometimes allowed by arrangement only so please check with Anna...Trallwyn Bach is only suitable for one pet...and we do have a small charge of £35 for a pet staying payable on arrival and the usual rules...There is now a place to pay for your pet on the airbnb site just below number of guests. Th payment on arrival is just for who have missed this on the site!
