There are two bedrooms available in my home.

Hi there, our home is opposite Pukekura Park so is excellent for gigs at the Bowl or WOMAD, it's a very short walk away.

I'm happy to share my two spare rooms with you in our large, fun, colourful home. This room has a double bed, wardrobe, mirror, drawers etc and colourful wall hangings. I love colour!

I live with my teenagers - our home is relaxed and casual, professional, sleek and modern we are not!

The space
We're a short walk to the picturesque Pukekura Park, which is across the road and less than ten minutes walk away. TSB Stadium is also just across the road, handy for events in the grounds like Americana, and events happening in the Stadium itself. WOMAD happens in Pukekura Park so this is the ideal location if you're going there (like us) as it is literally happening just across the road!

Town is not much further, an easy 15-20 minute walk. Local shops are a few minutes walk away, otherwise walk into town for everything else you need.

The Te Henui track (beautiful lush bush and river) is a 5 minute walk away and the popular coastal walkway is straight down the road and into town.

If internet access is of vital importance, this won't be the house for you. ***No WiFi!!*** Please read that again. No WiFi. You cannot book a room here and be annoyed that there is no WiFi.

We are vegetarian, it's OK if you're not, just don't bring meat into our home thanks (that's no seafood, chicken or red meat).

Please note check-in and check-out times vary depending on whether I am working, and what time I start. If I am not working checkout is by 11am, otherwise it could be from as early as 8am. When you make a request to book I will check my work calendar and let you know what the times will be, and you can OK that before I approve your booking, so there will be no surprises.

We have two cats, fine if you don't like cats, just keep your door closed as they love to go in rooms they are not supposed to!

Your bedroom door does not have a lock - I trust that you will not go in my bedroom, and I will not go in yours.

PLEASE NOTE - There is only one queen bed in the bedroom, but I do have a couple of airbeds which can be made up in the lounge if you have extra people and are desperate for somewhere to stay.

Perfectly sited for WOMAD with entry just a 10 minute walk down the road. Please be aware that during WOMAD I'll have two friends with their partners and kids camping in the back garden so it'll be a busy house and property.

Our private fully self-contained guest suite is on one side of our single level home. We are in the other half separated by a locked internal door.
Our home is in the beautiful suburb of Whalers Gate. We border Barrett Domain which has numerous gorgeous walking trails.

Enjoy the relaxing space which you enter via the front door into the hallway/entrance. Off that is a bedroom, kitchenette/laundry and ensuite, all with large windows with a view to the garden.

Relax in the comfortable king bed with Wallace Cotton bedding while watching Netflix on the 43 inch wall mounted Smart TV.
There is unlimted fibre, a spacious bathroom and full wardrobe with hangers.

This is the coolest side of the house in summer. You can open the windows which have insect screens and enjoy the birds and breeze.
During winter a heater is provided. There is also a Air conditioning Unit in the hallway which heats or cools the space.

The kitchenette has a mini fridge, jug, microwave, toaster, small bench-top oven/grill, a single induction hot plate and a nespresso coffee machine.
We supply tea, coffee, hot chocolate, herbal teas and provide a light breakfast of muesli/cereal, muffins and toast with lovely spreads.
If you would like a fully cooked breakfast there are numerous wonderful cafes very close by including The Backyard Cafe, a short 2 minute drive away. (Please note the kitchenette does not have a full oven)

Feel free to use the front garden and hammock (in summer) directly outside the guest wing to relax and unwind. If you would like to borrow a Surfboard or have bikes you need us to store, no problem. There are two seats and a table you can set up outside or inside as you wish.

You will have privacy in your own room which you enter off the deck, it comes with a work station/desk, a luggage rack, heater, hairdryer, electric blankets, spare pillows/blankets, Bose wireless speaker, free standing fan, plates and cutlery should you choose to bring home a takeaway. A toaster, kettle & chopping board etc is also in the room for your convenience. The guest bathroom is situated 7 seconds from your room in our car shed, adjacent to our Laundry. It is newly renovated and sole use for our guests. The car shed is beautifully lined and painted with carpet, equipped with a tub and mirror in the Laundry space and a spare fridge should you bring food to keep refrigerated. Storage space for toiletries is provided along with body wash for the shower.
Our very first guests suggested the outdoor pathway to the garage and bathroom so to access in a more private manner rather than walking through the middle of our home. We have a policy if it is raining, to come through the home, but it’s up to our guests to choose their preference.

We are very accommodating and welcome anyone into our home, we have a nearly 4yr old son, he is a great sleeper and very friendly with meeting new people. We have had over 80 guests stay with us, he is very used to having strangers around, but often you leave as friends!

It is all about communication for us. We may decide to cook on our bbq which is on the shared deck. Summer months are lovely eating alfresco, we may ask our guests to join us should we feel they would appreciate it. If our guests choose to cook in our kitchen we just ask what time they would like to cook, so we are out of the way and its all ready for them.

Self checkin with secured conviniently allocated parking by the foyer with security cameras monitoring 24/7. Located in the heart of Inglewood, 10min to the Mt Taranaki north side, 15min into New Plymouth, 20 min to Stratford, 15min to the Valley and Bell Blockand, 20min to Waitara. It is also a relatively easy walk to the dairy and to the township to visit shops, pubs and various delicious eateries. Property also can enjoy the serenity of the back gardens and BBQ area and comfortable rooms.

This is a room in a new light, modern, peaceful and centrally located house close to the lake and beach in the popular coastal town of Opunake.
