Dispute notices about dangerous animals, I was still expected to get out of the car and open the gate, same at check out too. This was is irresponsible as if puts guests in danger! Had fish and chips for dinner, it was devine! My stay was elevated by waking up to the sound of a. roaring lion as a wake-up alarm clock. A 25 m² room, with a comfortable bed for your stay. With a spacious, separate yet private bathroom, with a shower, to use. The home's amenities are for you to use and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beer on the stoep.

The space
The home where you will spend your stay in, was our first home.

You will discover our memories with our children on the door frame, their growth that I couldn't bear to remove or hand prints on a wall that the new coat of paint couldn't quite get out.

There are three spacious double bedrooms, large open plan living/tv room and a full kitchen with a washing machine.

I think the stoep is the best part of the home. Relaxing outside watching birds while you're drinking coffee or having a beer, depending on the time of day.

It's been a dry season, so the garden has taken a bit of a knock but with time, and water, will sort out in no time.

This home is situated close to the Iron Mountain, the "Ou Dorp" where the street names start with Eerste laan.

It's a quiet part of town, far enough away from the busy town center but close enough if you need to buy bread and milk.

If you want to game drive, Marakele National Park Gate is 12 km away.

If you would like a scenic drive, you can drive up to Klipbokkie Wedding & Adventures, 29 km away. Breathtaking views and a place to go on a hike to see the waterfall.

Would you like something more relaxing? Thabazimbi Golf Club is 7.8 km away. Spa date? Choose from Soritzy Day Spa (2.4 km) or Pondok Day Spa (5.1 km).

The space
The luxury insulated tent with aircon, fan, king size four poster bed, and spacious shower and small kitchenette is suitable for two. Two adjacent camping spots are available for you to bring family or friends to accompany you., to be arranged with the host. The tent and camping spots are entirely for your private use with no other campers nearby. Enjoy the dip-pool, outside braai/fire pit or weber braai on the deck. The farm is 72 hectares of bushveld that you are free to walk or drive around and enjoy the game, a resident aardvark, serval and african cat. There is an abundant variety of bird life and the big five Marakele Game reserve on your doorstep. There is no wifi at the tent but we can accommodate the occasional need for wifi at the house.

There is 72 hectares of bushveld to drive or walk around. Only the house area is private. A campsite with ablution block is on the top end of the property (far from the luxury tent) is on the farm, on the Marakele game reserve fenceline.

Other things to note
The raised deck of the tent is not safe for young children.
The luxury tent is for two guests, but you are welcome to bring friends and family with their own camping gear at 150 Rand per person over the age of 5.
