- "This property is in an updated late-nineteenth-century building and has view of St. James (sv. Jakob) Church and the nearby square. It is one of the most comfortable accommodations I experienced. There is no parking, but a commercial garage is nearby." - "Stayed 3 nights in February 24, including the weekend. We stayed in the Classic Apartment, 1 Bedroom, City View. To start, check-in is incredibly simple and can be done online before arrival, so when you do turn up it's merely a case of collecting the keys. The apartment is about as central as you can get, it is right next to St James' Church. The check-in desk is in a separate building but this is only a few metres away and is not an issue. The main train station is 10-15mins away by foot and other transport links are all easily within reach (either bus or tram). You are alsosurrounded by countless options for food and drink. The apartment itself could not be faulted. Very, very spacious and comfortable, modern looking and with a lot of amenities. We were big fans of the coffee machine and really appreciated the washing machine (with easy to understand instructions on how to use). The bed was massive and very comfortable. The shower was also great. You would normally have a fantastic view of the church as well, but sadly it was covered in scaffolding during our visit. The only disappointment was that there is a nightclub that was open on the weekends and you could hear and feel the music throughout the night. Earplugs were provided, but they don't stop it all. In general we're used to sleeping with noise but this could be an issue for others, so bear in mind for weekend stays. Despite this, we would happily stay again and would recommend highly to others."

- "The absence of customer-facing people is a problem. I tried to get check-in instructions by emailing in advance, and calling the Penzion, but only got them on the day of my arrival. My room was separated from its wc and shower by a corridor which also led to the office. The curtain was coming off the curtain rail and the curtain rail was coming off the wall. There was no bedside light (I used my phone). Wifi was poor, dropping out for minutes at a time. I wandered round the public areas to try and find a stronger signal, but failed. The window opened directly onto the pavement and there was a certain anount of noise from passing people, other guests chatting outside the door and screaming young children across the street. When I checked in, the toilet would not flush. I found a member of staff in the morning and she arranged a plumber who fixed it. The bed was comfortable. The Penzion is in a residential street, about 5 minutes brisk walk from tram stops on two different routes. I actually walked there from the station but I wouldn't do that again. There is a good beer house / restaurant about 3 minutes walk away."

The space under the tub was untitled, the floors in the door frame were missing separators, and most importantly, there were no window coverings on any of the windows, nor was there a shower curtain or door. We invite you to stay in a brand new, 70m2, modern apartment in the center of Brno. Includes a reserved courtyard parking space. The apartment is located in the inner part of a residential building, so you’ll find it to be an oasis of peace and quiet. The bedroom contains a cozy and large double bed, additional guests can sleep on a folding sofa bed (140x200cm) in the living room. The apartment has a kitchenette, fully equipped with all common appliances. After a hard day, feel free to enjoy a perfectly relaxing experience in the apartment’s private sauna (capacity of 3 people). There is no electricity or running water in the shepherd's hut. It is located in a garden near the forest, only a forest path leads to it. There is a Rakovec creek next to the property and you can find a well nearby. The closest bathing is in the pond Babí doly (Lelekovice), but you can also walk to the Brno dam.

The space offers a double sofa bed and a third-person sofa bed.

The nearest mhd stop is called Skrejš. You can't park your car in front of the garden because it's a forest property. Access to the garden on foot 200m via meadow. The starting point is the address Skrejš 1e.


Parking is suitable on Jandáskova street, which is 500m from the shepherd's hut (around the creek and the forest kindergarten Sýkorka).

Other things to note
It's important to consider whether guests can reach into their comfort zone. This place isn't for everyone. It is more about romance, adventure and expressing one's own competences (washing in a stream, drowning in stoves).

There are duvets in the shepherd's hut. We wash bedding in eco-friendly products.

Check-in is only between 14 and 7 pm, as it's hard to find in the dark. Je to v lese.

The appartment is almost comically HUGE. With high ceilings and completed in 1900, it is one unit in a famous architectural monument that was built for wealthy industrialists.

1.) This place is dedicated to cat lovers only. If you are not into cats, please reconsider your reservation as you might struggle to enjoy your staying here. Cats can go everywhere, there is small cat door in a door to your room, so they can visit you all the time. It can be blocked mechanically, but then they just scratch the door, which is more disturbing than their brief visit. Do not allow them to escape through the apartment entrance nor windows. If they manage to escape, do not panic, just grab them and bring back, they are use to be carried. Cats can be pretty wild animals, they can damage your stuff or cause an injury to infants, therefore our listing is not suitable for children. Hypersensitive guests can find the place little bit smelly, if you are not familiar with optional cat toilet odour, reconsider your reservation please.

2.) Book the place only for you and your company, no bookings on behalf of someone else please, the bad experience before.

3.) Do not lose a provided key please, otherwise you will be charged extra 200 € (special lock). You can also lock your room, but it is not necessary.

Small homely room in a family house attic (2nd floor) equipped with double bed and kitchenette. Suitable for business travel as well as vacation.

The room is situated right next to the bathroom with a roof window to the garden. The kitchenette is equipped with fridge, electric griddle, microwave and basic dishes. Guests are welcome to use shared terrace, backyard with grill and garden.

If you plan going downtown by public transport, you should be comfortable with 30 - 40min travelling.

The space
Quiet district on the northern border of Brno city yet easily reachable from downtown (30min by public transport, 15min by car). Surrounded by nature, it is the ideal base for various sports and leisure activities.

The nearest shop is 1km away, the restaurant and sweet-shop are in the district. The public transfer stop is 100m.

There are many leisure occasions in the surroundings - the Brno Zoo, Brno Dam (playgrounds, culture, Veveří castle, ferry trips, fireworks, ...), Maximus Resort Wellness, Casino Atlantis. The famous Moravian Karst caves are only 30min by car.

Guests are welcome to the terrace next to the attic, as well as backyard with grill and garden. We will be happy to park guests' motorbike or bicycle in a garage.

Most of the time somebody from family is home or nearby. We will be happy to recommend you some pubs or places to see in the surroundings.

If you wish you can join us for coffee or we can try to play some music together.

Our family including 3 small kids live in the same flat. We also have one indoor/outdoor cat, healthy and vaccinated properly, usually doesn't enter guests' room, but still, there are some allergens in the air.

The place is newly remodelled and I guarantee you will feel here as if home. You will have your privacy or buddy (me) to talk if u wish so you will never feel alone. A huge advantage are all kind of little shops around (coffee shop, sweet shop, grocery store, restaurant, butcher, flower shop, cheese shop or healthy food shop). All are within walking distance. In the apartment there are two bedrooms. I live in one and renting the other one through Airbnb that's why "private room". I'm mentioning this as some previous guest didn't get it from the description. Rooms are separated from each other very well and so everyone gets its own privacy. 🙂
