Guest access
Your apartment has its own independent entrance, and are separated by 2 doorways connected to the rest of the townhouse, that allow you to lock your door from your side.

You can access the apartment directly from the parking area by walking down the slightly graded grassy path (as shown in listing pics).

Interaction with guests
I lived at this, as my primary home for 13 years, but have now relocated to Los Angeles. Therefore our interaction will largely be on the phone or via this app.

I love international & within US travelers (40 countries and similar in states). While traveled different countries, I've always enjoyed and appreciated varied cultural experiences. I am a Padi certified scuba diver :)!

Other things to note:

There's an additional charge for pets. I thank you in helping me determine this by providing me as much information as possible, such as type, breed, weight, caged, declawed, noisy, sheds, shots, etc.

For your pets I've provided a large cage that converts into a gate (comfortably fits a large dog such as golden retriever, as seen in the pics), a comfy large bed, dishes, and a retractable long leash.

The laundry room is on your floor (separate entrance), that is also accessible to the upstairs guests. The house rules in place are to respect your bedtime, and not access the laundry room after 10 PM.

Located off the Fairfax County Parkway in Fairfax in a community that is safe and incredibly picturesque.

You have access to the top 2 levels of the Townhouse, and 2 designated parking spots in the front.

The 1st (living) level includes a half bath, and a well-equipped and updated kitchen that includes gadgets and kitchen gear that is always appreciated by guests who love to cook.

The fully and tastefully furnished living and dining rooms have the perfect marriage between eclectic pieces of art and furniture that I've gathered from my international travels and modern comfortable furniture items, including a 40" Samsung QLed Smart TV.

This 1st level includes a half bath, and huge deck that's also furnished with relaxing furniture, an anti gravity chair and barbeque grill.

The 2nd/ top level includes two fully furnished Master Bedrooms across from each other. Each bedroom includes their own independent bathroom.

1st Luxurious Master Bedroom: This used to be my master bedroom which I decorated and furnished with elegance, comforts and some indulgences like a Tempur-pedic mattress, solid wood framed bed with matching furniture, hypoallergenic goose-down comforter (other options available) and a smart TV. I also recently renovated the bathroom to make it spacious, and comfortable with all available bathroom gadgets and knick-knacks you'd need! The bedroom overlooks a beautiful yard with tall trees and green grass.

2nd Fun and brightly lit very large Master Bedroom with its own independent bathroom: This room has 2 large windows facing East. It also includes a desk, full and day bed, and smart TV. The bedroom includes an in-suite bathroom with plenty of mirrors, and gadgets and knick-knacks you'd find at a fancy resort :)
Since this room faces north-east, you will enjoy the beautiful morning sunshine through those large windows (dark shades also there...for days you want to sleep-in).

Townhouse Location:
We're in the Franklin Glen community, which's known for the very safe, clean, and quiet neighborhood. It hosts a huge pool, tennis courts, parks, hiking, and biking trails...all moments from the home, and accessible to you! For a small community fee, you can also access the benefits of the community pool (during the summer months when it's open) and tennis courts!

The laundry room is on the basement level.

The walkout basement is an independent apartment that is also listed on VRBO.
That unit is completely independent from the house, with its own entryway, living, sleeping, cooking and eating space... and neither guests' will interact unless specifically requested by each guest. There are 2 connecting doors built to shut movement between the 2 spaces.

Our home features three bedrooms, with two private bathrooms. We also provide two offices, each with a desk and chair. The second level office includes two external monitors, a sound system, and a laser printer. Stay connected easily with Verizon FIOS high-speed internet.

The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area are ideal for sharing meals at home. The comfortable living room is perfect for relaxing after a busy day. You can step out and enjoy the beautiful wrap-around front porch, or have a cookout on the back deck with our grill.

The Vienna/Fairfax-GMU metro station is a short drive away, for easy rail access to Washington DC's top attractions: National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, the White House, and much more. For those staying closer to the home, you’re less than two miles from Old Town Fairfax and George Mason University amenities. Welcome! This is a Townhome basement Queen suite in a family community less than 1/2 mile to Burke VRE & 2 miles to GMU. Super comfy, cozy bed and linens are yours to call home while site seeing or transitioning to the area. Comfortable and spacious room for non-smoking single or couple. The room is in the back of the house with one egress window and doesn’t have much natural sunlight.There are many overhead lights and lamps for brightness or cozy warm ambiance

The space
Above all I strive to create a quiet, comfortable stay where you can relax and feel at home. Your room includes a Queen bed and bed linens, serving ware, and glassware: drinking glasses, wine glasses and coffee mugs for 4, desk, 50 inch smart tv with basic cable, large dresser,closet, and your private kitchenette (no stove). The kitchenette includes a microwave, mini Whirlpool fridge and freezer, mini-Keurig, starter coffee pods, and shelves for your food storage. This rental does not include storage cabinet or counter space in the shared kitchen upstairs. Please no extra dishes upstairs. You are free to use house dishes/silverware, all kitchen appliances, pots/pans upstairs. There is no restriction on cooking, however please be respectful of quiet hours 10pm to 8am and be aware that a guest may be sleeping in the Airbnb rented room adjacent to the kitchen. Please no loud talking in the kitchen after 10pm on cell phones or in person.

Areas shared with other guests include: the newly remodeled (July 2025) upper level bathroom, half bath on main floor, kitchen, dining, patio and laundry in the basement. Laundry is accessible in the basement to you and other houseguests from 8am to 7pm, but all guests will finish laundry by 9pm so that house rules for quiet hours 10pm to 8am can be observed.

The room is perfect for night shift medical, police or other workers looking for a quiet sleeping area. There is plenty of lighting- recessed ceiling, dome lights, and 4 lamps to add white light or warm cozy ambient lighting, but very little natural light. This is not a walk out basement.

On occasion the owner will need access to the room for maintenance or emergency, but will provide as much notice as possible. The circuit breaker, hvac, water heater, and sump pump are located in closets in the room. Thank you! STL-2024-00065

With this basement bedroom rental you will have private space and use of the upstairs kitchen and dining room and outdoor patio, upper level full bath, main level half bath, and laundry in the basement.
Please store your food in your room and in your personal mini-refrigerator and freezer due to limited kitchen storage upstairs and in the kitchen refrigerator.

You will have free street parking and limited parking close to the house.

If owner needs access to the room will give notice. The home electrical box, sump pump, hvac and water heater are in the room.

Owner and small dog also reside in the basement. There are 3 rooms in the basement with the laundry room separating the two rooms.

During your stay
I will be available during your stay through Airbnb message, by phone or text. I take guest que for being social.
