This is our personal library of books so we please ask that you leave the books behind at the end of your stay.

The hallway doubles as a workspace and is equipped with a desk for those needing to work while staying with us. The bathroom is newly remodeled with a tile floor and shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. There are few complimentary toiletries in the mirror medicine cabinet and make-up towels and a hair dryer have been provided for your convenience.

☆☆ OUTDOOR AREA ☆☆
The front deck where you enter provides ample room for relaxation and is equipped with full outdoor dining. There is also a dog run in the back of the yard, a charcoal grill provided along with grilling utensils (charcoal and lighter fluid are not provided), and a large private back deck. We do have black bears that pass through the neighborhood so it is necessary to bring all food items inside at the end of the evening and to cover the grill.
Other things to note
This home is located a few hundred feet off of a one-way gravel drive with 4 other homes. The road is not steep and very manageable in any vehicle. There is plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. This home is located in a residential area near other homes, the closest being across the gravel road from this one (see photos), but the home and decks still feel very private because of the trees.

We like to remind guests and first time visitors that Asheville is teeming with wildlife! Alongside the group of wild turkeys that frequent the backyard you will most likely see our neighborhood black bears during your stay - either one 1 larger lone male or a medium sized mother bear with 2 cubs. Please keep your distance, bring in all food items before going to bed each evening, and at the end of your stay please leave your garbage in the home. Our cleaning staff will take care of disposing of it.

Our check in time is 4:00 p.m. and our check out time is 11:00 a.m. We ask that you please be respectful of these times to allow our cleaning team adequate time to prepare the house for the next guests. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our home!

Our home is equipped with one Ring camera (outside only) and a smart lock on the front door for your peace of mind and security during your stay.

We are dog friendly! (sorry, no cats allowed at this listing due to allergies)- Each dog must be added to your reservation request when booking and a fee of $75 must be submitted with your reservation prior to booking. The number of dogs for this property is limited to 2 dogs. The pet fee is not per pet, it is just a flat fee.

You will notice that we have a library of books in our home. We encourage you to enjoy them during your stay but we please ask that you leave the books at home during your day to day adventures and at the end of your stay. Our books mean a lot to us, but we do like to provide them to guests for their enjoyment during their stay.

Our hope is our "starter package" of consumable goods will allow you to enjoy your stay thoroughly, but please plan to pack or purchase items you may need beyond what is provided. Conveniently, there is an Ingles grocery store less than 5 min from the home!

Please note that this home does not have a dishwasher or access to a washer or dryer. Dishes are not required to be washed and put away before your departure but we do ask that you scrap all food into the trash, rinse dishes of food residue, and place in the sink for our cleaning staff.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 pm - 6:00 am; please respect these hours by not playing music outside during these hours.

This cabin is located on 20 acres of land off a private gravel road that is just off of Highway 321 in Blowing Rock. While we don't have many neighbors, the ones we do have are very friendly and you may see them driving by throughout the day. The cabin is situated at the top of the only road in and out of the community, so please make sure to not block the road in any way that could obstruct our neighbors' access.

Highway 321 will be cleared appropriately in winter months. As for the road off of 321 to this cabin, it is paved but in the event of inclement weather - 4WD or AWD is suggested in winter months.

While the road to the house does melt quickly, it can be tricky with snow.

If you’re headed further into the High Country, we’d encourage you to take a drive. We highly recommend taking the longer route on the Blue Ridge Parkway to get from where you are to where you’re going. If you’re looking for another scenic route, be sure to take Shull’s Mill road if you’re headed toward Banner Elk or Valle Crucis.

While you stay, there will be plenty of room to park. Feel free to park on the concrete next to the garage or on the gravel.

Before you pack up and head to the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Dillsboro NC elevation starts at 1,975 feet. Think of this as your starting point. If you want to get a beautiful mountain view, you've gotta climb some mountains. Mountain roads are typically gravel, steeper, narrower and curvier than you may be use to driving. This is all part of our charm.
We do have one big hill to get up. It is gravel. We regularly drive a Hyundai Sonata up. While AWD vehicles make everything easier they are not required. Maintain an even speed (10mph) going up and you should have no issues. If you have Traction Control, you will do better turning it off going uphill.

The cabin is near a few other properties, but far enough away to where you don’t hear or see other people. The cabin was also decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well-stocked for a rental property. It was nice and cold during our stay so we really enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is also conveniently located between Sylva and Bryson City if you want to go out and explore the area. We had a great stay, and would definitely book here again!"
