There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake-just off of Silver Creek Road and Lake Adger Road. You are welcome to bring a pontoon or fishing boat as well as a kayak or paddle board. During your stay at the chalet you can park your pontoon at the Blueridge Overlook Marina in a designated space. Please not there is an 80 horsepower limit on pontoons boats and 60 horsepower limit on other watercraft. To maintain the tranquil enviroment, no jet skis or water skiing t is permitted on the lake

If you are joining us in the winter, we are an easy 30 minute trip to Sky Valley for skiing too! HIghlands is a quick drive for world class shopping and dining. Small walking trails wind through our five acre property, perfect for a quick stroll with your pooch - and guests can try their hand gem mining or fishing in the creek above and below the falls.

A rustic bunk house on the property is also available for rent to accommodate a larger group. The 2 bdrm/1.5bth bunk house sleeps 6 people comfortably. Downstairs has a queen bed and full bath, and upstairs has 2 king size beds and a half bath in an open loft style bedroom. The property has a cozy living room/dining room combination with a well equipped kitchen. The bunk house is clean and very simply furnished. It does not have Wi-Fi. A TV with DVD player and a library of movies is onsite. Very comforatable acccomidations with brand new heating and air conditioning. The bunk house is only for rent in conjunction with the Waterfall Cabin and is not leased to separate parties. Please inquire for rates and additional photos.

Pets are welcome upon approval with an additional fee at the Waterfall Cabin, but due to the steep decking, lots of stairs and the very large waterfall on the property, young children are usually discouraged. The cabin is accessible via stairs to the main front door - so guests do have to be able to navigate stairs.

THE SPACE:
The 2-bedroom (2 beds), 2 bathroom chalet is easy to access. The staircase to the loft bedroom is carpeted for safety. Balcony & front porch have standard-height wood picket railings with outdoor furniture. The kitchen has stainless appliances and a propane gas stove. The living area has a propane gas log fireplace with a push-button on/off and an auto shut-off wall-mounted remote.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have complete use of the main floor, loft, main floor balcony, and front porch with a private entrance. 2 vehicle limit. The driveway is large, but turning around can be difficult with more than two vehicles. No boats, trailers, campers, or off-road sports vehicles. The rain interrupted a lot of our plans so it was great to have this place to just chill out. The two bathrooms are great if you have a larger family as not a lot of rentals in the area have that. The cabin is in a great location and indeed near town - be warned, there are some steep up and down hills before getting to the main road so if it's wet and you have a stroller - be careful! Everything was well appointed and well maintained. There were some board games too, and our toddler loved playing with the jenga blocks. One small note, the toilets seem to run at random times for 20 seconds at a time. Obviously not a big deal during the day but when it happens at 2 or 3am it's a little unsettling. Overall we had a great experience. The communication was great and would definitely stay again when in the area!"

Welcome to Sunset Vistas!

Sunset Vistas is a one level cabin with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom that sleeps 2 guests. It offers beautiful long range mountain views, privacy and approximately 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson with grocery stores, shopping and dining. Sorry, but no pets allowed.

Enjoy your private retreat with a 2 person hot tub, WIFI, outdoor fire pit (wood not provided) views and a fully stocked kitchen with an open floor plan. The kitchen boasts a dishwasher, granite counter tops, microwave, 2-in-1 Keurig/Coffee maker, large fridge and dining for 2.

Enjoy the mountain views from our wall of glass in the living room. There is a gas fireplace (looks like a wood stove) in the living room for those cool fall/winter days. The flat screen HDTV is a SmartTV to watch streaming apps (no live or local channels). We do have a wall mounted mini-split with AC and heat located in the living room.

The bedroom has a king size bed with a door to the outside deck with seating to enjoy Mother Nature. The full bathroom is next to the bedroom (not En Suite) that has a step in shower. Relax after a long day of hiking or shopping in our new 2 person hot tub on the covered deck. There is a stacked washer and dryer for your convenience.

Important Notes: This cabin is access by a steep graveled road and driveway. We do not recommend low profile vehicles. Our cabin is not motorcycle or trailer friendly. Chains and/or 4WD or AWD with good tires are strongly recommended for stays during November through April.

Sunset Vistas is the perfect way to spend quality time in the mountains. For the outdoor lovers, enjoy the nearby state parks, canoeing such as Zaloo's Canoes, or hiking at one of the many trails in Ashe County. The house has a panoramic view of the Bogue Sound from almost every space inside and outside of the chalet. You are surrounded by the water and the sky and the sound of the breeze in the massive live oak trees everywhere you go. The house is ideal for families or two couples with families or as a romantic hideaway. The gorgeous floor to ceiling wall of glass in the great room is flanked on both sides with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Patio access is available from the living room, as well as from the master bedrooms on each side. Each wing can be closed off for privacy. The well-equipped kitchen is complimented by an outdoor Green Egg grill and patio dining. The house sleeps 9. There is one king bed in the master, one queen bed in the secondary master, an upper and lower full size bunk bed with a pullout trundle in the third bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the office bedroom. The office has a monitor and a desk for your use. What a great place to have a work-cation! The internet is reliable. This waterfront hideaway is on a double lot studded with live oak trees, an outdoor shower, a boat dock with a lovely sitting area for watching the sunset or watching your family kayak to the little islands just a short paddle away and is boat friendly. There is easy access from the ICW to bring your boat to the dock or you can put in at a nearby public boat ramp. Once you are here you may not want to leave but the location is so close to everything the Crystal Coast has to offer. White, sandy Emerald Isle beaches, restaurants, waterparks and miniature golf adventures are only a 10-15 minute drive away. The aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores and all of the Atlantic Beach amenities are within a half hour drive as is the historic downtown of Beaufort and Morehead City. Please note that the water depth is tidal and is also affected by the direction and strength of the wind so it is hard to predict how much water will be at the dock during low tide. The boat ramp may be used only for kayaks. This is a place that has it all---be prepared to be truly swept away!

- "Perfect staycation ! Clean, simple and modern amenities. Close to a private beach access which made for less people which was nice. Follow the street to the icw side to catch the sunsets I’d rec leaving a vacuum and or a broom out since it is a beach house and felt bad tracking sand inside without a way to somewhat clean it up. The house has 2 bedrooms and a large loft, with enough beds to sleep 8.

The community has a pool, tennis courts, and hiking trails. The kitchen is well stocked. We also have a basement with a sofa bed, TV and foosball table.

The space
The main entrance is into the basement, where you're greeted with bonus space for relaxing - TV and a foosball table, as well as a down-filled couch that opens into a queen sleeper sofa. The basement also has a queen bedroom and a full bathroom with a shower. The laundry room is also on the level, with ample storage for skis and other extras you may want to store.

Heading upstairs, you'll find an expansive, vaulted great room with dining and kitchen, fully stocked for all your cooking needs. The king bedroom and bathroom are located on the main level for easy access.

One floor up, you'll enter a comfortable loft with two full beds.

The back deck feels private with outdoor dining space...and a winter view of the mountain ridge behind.

Guest access
You'll find parking for 2-3 vehicles. There is also a secure and convenient entry to the house with an electronic door lock.

In the wintertime, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is required to deal with snowy conditions on mountain roads. The driveway is a little steep and could be challenging during heavy snow, but there is parking available at the community clubhouse.

Other things to note
We provide complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer as well as a few essential pantry items like salt & pepper, spices, and cooking oil.

Please note: the area stays relatively cool in the summer, but can be warm. Like many in the area, this house does not have central A/C, but there is a mini split system on the main living area. You can also open the windows to enjoy the fresh mountain air!

Our home is located in a desirable location in Seven Devils, located between Boone and Banner Elk with all paved access. At over 4,000-foot elevation, this wonderful home provides cooler summer climates and a scenic view of the North Carolina mountains. You even have views of Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline from the deck.

Our home IS pet friendly, but there is a maximum of 2 dogs weighing less than 40 pounds, each. The pet fee is $100 per pet plus tax and must have management approval. We ask that you clean up after your pet’s “business” and properly dispose of the waste.

Main Floor: The main floor offers 2 king size bedrooms with En Suite bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, spacious living room with gas fireplace (seasonal-Oct. 1-April 1), cable TV and access to the large open deck.

The living room offers a gas fireplace (seasonal) for those cold winter days, a wall of windows to enjoy the mountain views.

The step-saver kitchen offers dishwasher, refrigerator, electric oven, regular coffee maker and most items needed for preparing and cooking a great meal. The dining table can seat up to 8 guests with additional seating at the kitchen bar. Plus, we provide a high chair.

There are 2 king size bedrooms on the main floor. The first master bedroom offers a king size bed, TV, En Suite bathroom with double sinks, step-in shower, jetted tub and 2 toilets. It also has access with a sliding glass door to the large deck.

The Jr. master bedroom offers another king size bed, En Suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is another access from the main living area to this bathroom for the guests. You have access to the deck from this bedroom as well with beautiful mountain views to wake up to every morning!

Lower Level: Enjoy spending quality time in the game room on the lower level with a full size pool table, Roku TV and lots of board games. There is additional sleeping with a queen size sleeper sofa and there is access to the lower level deck with seating. Views from each level of our home!

The third bedroom is on the lower level that offers another king size bed and twin/twin bunk bed. The bedrooms offer an En Suite third bathroom with tub/shower combo. There is access from the game room to the bathroom for convenience.

Outside: Take advantage of our nice fire pit with beautiful mountain views (wood not provided). The back deck offers a gas grill and dining table with chairs. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and cool summer days! Enjoy our awesome hot tub after a long day of hiking, snow tubing, skiing, shopping or just to relax and let the jets sooth your stress away.

Location: Sunrise Over Seven Devils is located just a half mile from Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline. The closest hiking trails are located at Otter Falls Trail, which is about 0.8 mile away or a 2 minute drive. Grandfather Vineyard and Winery is 3.4 miles (8 minute drive). Appalachian State University is 12 miles away. Blowing Rock is a short 13.5 miles (less than 30 minutes) from our home. Grandfather Mountain is 14.2 miles (30 minutes). Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is less than 8 miles. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is 15.5 miles. Appalachian Ski Resort is 17 miles. Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill is approximately 16 miles (30 minutes). ***The cabin is access by paved state and city maintained paved roads. However, it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months.

***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions.

The space
A relaxing place for you, your family and friends to hang out after a full day on the slopes, hiking the trails or visiting all that the mountains of North Carolina offers. The main living space is an open concept in the classic A-Frame style. The kitchen, living room and dining areas offer the ideal space to reconnect. There are two back porches that provide great views of the Beech Mountain Ski Resort and Carolina Caribbean Beginner Slope. The top porch is accessed from the main living area and the lower porch is directly accessible from two of the downstairs three bedrooms. All three bedrooms plus the loft have their own queen sized bed and are the perfect spot to recharge. There are three full baths with one on the first floor, one on the main living space and one in the loft. Plenty of room for the entire family!
