Other than that, place was clean, had a few snacks in there. Once more annoyance, the windows are painted shut so you can’t let the breeze in. Sure use the AC. well that thing barely put out any air. Stuff room. This place is picture friendly but not hotel friendly. 2 stars "

This dog-friendly suite is self-contained and accessible only by its own private entrance. The space is ideal for the lone traveler or couples seeking a romantic retreat in the mountains. Guests (and pups) can enjoy the mountain air from the spacious deck or the yard in the back! This offering in the circa 1900 neighborhood is only used for guest stays. It is a very nice, 1 bedroom, private entrance, private suite we call "The Uptown Flat". Just minutes walk away from all Old Downtown restaurants, coffee shops, bowling alley, 2 breweries and assortment of Downtown stores and events.

This is a mother in law style 1 bedroom, 1 bath, separate suite with private entrance and private off-street parking that is only used for guest stays.

The Uptown Flat is quality lodging with a nicely equipped full kitchen and laundry room. Oak hardwoods and travertine tile floors throughout. Porcelain, cast iron tub and kithchen sink, both with tile surrounds. We will gather the towels and strip the bedding after your stay.

This is a very clean and well built structure. Strong WiFi and smart TV with expanded cable and premium channels. Perfect for the business person or travelers alike. USB charging ports are available on the bedside outlet the lamp plugs into.

" Base Camp "built for the stately adventurer at heart :) features a large tiled spa like bath, kichenette, huge windows and large open, airy living area. Nicely dressed with an abundance of crown and wainscot moldings, hardwoods and tile.

"The Heritage" if you are looking for something larger, this is considered our executive lodging suite. It features a larger, extremely spacious 2 bedroom with full kitchen and walk in laundry room. All Hardwoods and tile. Well stocked for cooking and cleaning basics. Nicely equiped and set up for the extended stay :)

Elizabeth City specializes in good old Southern hospitality. We invite you to spend a relaxing time at the River City Lodge in the “Harbor of Hospitality!”

The space
Be our guest in the newly remodeled River City Lodge, which is believed to be one of the oldest Masonic buildings in NC that housed the Oddfellows fraternity, built around 1847. The Lodge houses 3 Airbnb suites, with the Munro suite and Lighthouse suite on the upstairs floor, and the Secret room that is pet friendly on the downstairs floor.

The Lighthouse suite is a studio space with queen size bed, an oversized chair with pull out bed, full kitchenette and full bathroom.

We recently opened the River City Biergarten downstairs and are open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm-8pm. Join us for a cold beer!

The lodge sits on property adjacent to our home, and offers a downstairs gathering space, the “Leatherneck Lounge” that provides a pool table for guests to enjoy (with quiet hours from 9pm-6am) and washer and dryer free of charge. The covered outdoor patio area with big screen tv offers a comfortable space for guests to relax, in addition to a firepit, a pond with a small “nook” perfect for a good book, and a small backyard area that houses kayaks to explore the river that is 5 blocks away.

Bikes are also available to explore our downtown area, and ample parking is available on the street or in our private parking lot.

Other things to note
The Lodge sits in one of Elizabeth City’s many historic districts and is walking distance to breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, a fabulous wine bar and our gym that is also accessible 24 hours and at your disposal.
