The space
Pet friendly private cottage located behind the main house at the Hostel in Historic West Asheville.

We allow one dog for a $25 pet fee. The dog must stay with you at all times and cannot be left alone on the property.

Self check-in starts at 3pm.

Cottage has full size bed, private kitchen and bathroom. Please note also, the shower is not huge. It will fit one person just fine.

The space
This guesthouse sits hidden in the middle of Plaza Midwood and has parking and a private entrance for guests. French doors open to the outdoor space, which has a fire pit and seating for dining, and is a perfect accompaniment to the guesthouse's floor plan.

The 55-inch television swivels a complete 180 degrees to be enjoyed whether you are sitting inside the space or out on the patio. The kitchen has all the amenities you could need - full-size refrigerator, convection oven, Nespresso machine for coffee and espresso, hotplate for cooking and plenty of kitchenware.

The wooden wardrobe opens to reveal a queen-size bed with a comfortably soft, 12-inch, memory-foam mattress.

There is a possibility that the outdoor space will be shared with either the owners or other guests who may have rented the main home. If we are here, we welcome reaching out to us if you would like suggestions on what to do around the city, questions, or just want to have a glass of wine.

The guesthouse has blinds and a separate back entrance to a parking lot so you will have privacy and can come and go as you please.

Other things to note
This has the potential to be a shared space if you did not rent the main house as well. With that, we ask that you remain respectful of others in close proximity to you.

I do not impose a cleaning fee, so please do your best to leave the space tidy. Remove all trash upon check out and inform me of any spills or messes so I know best how to clean.

If you have an emotional support or service animal, please let me know so we can have an extended conversation about how to best accommodate you.

After a busy day, the Spaight Suite offers a tranquil place to relax. The suite features gentle blue walls, a cherry wood King bed and private bath.
The Stanly–Spaight Duel was the most notorious affair of honor in North Carolina history. In 1802, Stanly and Spaight campaigned for a legislative seat. However, the campaign turned violent and resulted in a duel to that ended in the death of Spaight.

Kick back in our newly renovated barn apartment! Come lounge on the second story porch amongst the trees, or take some relaxation time in our hot tub area. Nestled in Hillsborough, but a short drive to both Durham, Chapel Hill/Carrboro, our space is the perfect respite for anyone visiting the triangle area. Come escape and enjoy the six acres of land surrounding the barn or take a trip (just 8 minutes) to downtown Hillsborough for a quaint afternoon.

The space
This 450 sq ft apt sleeps four people. There is one full bed mattress and one queen pullout couch mattress, located in the living room. Full bath located in the bedroom. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, breakfast nook, and second story porch to relax. Our space is tiny but peaceful.

Other things to note
WiFi speed in the apt is 230 Mbps. Note the wifi password is all lowercase.

A corner room like all the others at Verandas, Room 3 also has a private en suite bathroom with marble vanity, marble floor, and garden size soaking tub. The bathroom wallpaper is a sophisticated, Chinese-style cherry blossom print on a grayish silver background. Complete with a decorative fireplace, the guest room is very dramatic and bold with full-length draperies in a black and gold horizontal stripe pattern. You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place.
