The sweet Chalet sleeps 4 with 2 Queen beds and 1-1/2 bathrooms. The drive to the Chalet is primarily paved with approximately 200 feet of gravel (easy) drive. (You will NOT need a truck)

Private and Secluded! Relax and enjoy the serenity of the hot tub from the full walk around deck, throw some steaks and veggies on the charcoal grill or curl up and watch your favorite TV shows in front of the gas fireplace ~ the choice is yours! The sunsets in the evening are something that shouldn't be missed and you can even see the lights from downtown Gatlinburg from the back porch.

On the main level, you'll find the kitchen, eat-in area, living room with gas fireplace, one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom and an arcade/game area.
The Upstairs Loft bedroom, which is open to below (see photos) hosts a queen bed and a half bath.

You'll find 2 Smart Tv's in the Chalet. One in the main level bedroom and the other is above the fireplace in the living room. Guests will need to bring their own passwords for Netflix, Amazon, Disney + etc. For your entertainment, there are also 2 arcades and a variety of board games.

There will be a starter supply of: toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing liquid, dish washer pods, coffee (k-cups), teas, creamers and sugars. There is a grocery store located approximately 5 miles away should you need to purchase other items needed.

This is a No Pet, No Smoking Cabin with a Maximum Occupancy of 4 Guests. Smoking is only allowed OUTSIDE. This rule is strictly enforced. If a guest brings a pet, or have more than 4 guests, they will be asked to leave/vacate immediately and will not be refunded for any part of their reservation for days not used. (Owner allergic).

Security: Please note that there are 24 hour security at the resort and cameras video/audio monitor all exterior doors. Cameras do not have a view of the hot tub and there are no cameras or recording devices on the interior of the property.

This chalet, formally known as Bear Me Away, is now under new ownership and management and has been renamed Baylee's Bearadise. This beautiful chalet is located in the in the Shagbark development in the mountains of Sevierville, just 15 minutes from the heart of Pigeon Forge. Shagbark is a gated community with seasonal swimming poor and tennis court access.
The large living room has all new furniture including a queen sleeper sofa and a 65 inch smart TV as well as a beautiful stone fireplace. The kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances and granite counter
tops and is fully stocked for your cooking needs. Both bedrooms are master suites with king size beds and walk in closet. For those who need to touch base with the office while on vacation.. we also provide high speed internet and a desk.

- "Awesome time" - "We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The house was very clean and ready for us to enjoy. We esp. loved the great view from the deck! We also loved the surprise visit of the bear cub that climbed up the side of the mountain to visit our backyard. We didn't know where momma bear was, so we watched it from the safety of the deck. It would be helpful if you provided instructions on how to use the 3 remote controls, we had issues watching the TV in the living room. Also, if power goes out, leave instructions if anything needs to be reset when power is restored. The second night (Tuesday, June 27), there was a power outage around 4am even though there were no storms in the area. We found two of your flashlights, but one wasn't working, and the batteries didn't work either, so please make sure to have working flashlights with extra working batteries. Luckily, we brought our own flashlights. It would be helpful if you provided general emergency numbers and a number to call if the power goes out. We called and left a message for you and texted, but you didn't check with us until 12:30pm ET. Overall, we enjoyed our time in the mountains. Thank you!"

It's hard to say where the outdoors end and the indoors begin. The setting is perfect for a quiet writers retreat, honeymoon or romantic getway, or an unforgettable family trip to the Smoky Mountains. Our property is the best of both worlds as you can be in #Gatlinburg or #PigeonForge within minutes, but still feel like you have your own private setting in the woods. The home is supported primarily by 3 Oak trees as well as 1 Hickory. 2 of the oaks grow through the interior of the house, 1 oak and 1 hickory grow through the main deck space. The main deck features a couple Adirondack chairs, 2 black walnut bars off the kitchen windows each with 2 bar stools, amazing views, hog wire railing with a drink rail to allow guests to enjoy a beverage while taking in the view, and a romantic/covered hot tub for 2. Underneath the home guests will find a a large new deck with 2 swinging chairs, sectional couch, and coffee table. Enjoy the outside here even when the weather is not perfect.. 2 other features just off the side of the home are a fire pit and camping style charcoal grill. Once inside you will love the shiplap on the walls, rough cut trim, galvanized ceiling, live oak trees, natural light from all the windows, cool wood countertops, loft bedroom, amazing tile corner shower, etc... - "Perfect" - "Excellent" - "Cabin was very nice, we got in at 9 at night and had some trouble finding the cabin, as the unit number was not closer to the ground it was on the 2nd floor, didnt know about the lights or would have found it quickly (couldnt see the pool next door as it was so dark out). The faucet to the main floor shower, dont turn it all the way to the hot or you will have an ice cold shower, just barely turn it on and wait a few mins before getting in for it to warm up. Otherwise everyrting was great and we would stay again. We only had 1 trash bag so wasnt sure if we were to leave it or take it out, we took it out, then realized no cans outside, so we drove it down to the office dumpsters. Didnt know id the area recycled and since we are use to it where we live, we created a bag for recyclables and just drove home with it. Love the area and how close it is to everything. Definitely recommend"

Limited wifi usage was a bit of a downer, but the arcade game was great, and no cell service was pretty awesome! We are so dependent on cell phones in every day life, that not having the signal was incredibly refreshing. The road noise while on the deck was very noticeable, but I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends. Thanks for a great vacation!"

Other things to note
SMALL BATHROOMS
The bathrooms in this property are small! While the shower sizes are definitely roomy and standard, the sink spaces are tiny and the toilets are wedged between them and the showers. If you need extra counter space to get ready this may not be the best fit.

ROADS/DRIVEWAY
The roads are somewhat narrow and a few parts are steep/on an incline. They can also be dark at night. However, if you want to stay in the mountains you will have to navigate this with almost any property you book. Trust us, you will be a pro after you have driven the roads once! We encourage a four-wheel drive vehicle in the winter months due to the chance of snow. If it does snow, please be aware that the roads can freeze and the county isn't the best at clearing or salting the side roads. It's the South so it happens infrequently and they wait for it to melt.

CELL SERVICE/WIFI
Both work great!

HOUNDS IN THE HOLLER
Dogs reside somewhere in the foothills of Mt Le Conte. Their barks echo and can be heard outside of this property at times. We have yet to actually hear them while inside, but tower fans with white noise capabilities have been provided in each bedroom just in case!

CABIN COMMUNITY
This property sits within a community of other cabins/chalets. Therefore, you may hear and/or see your neighbors at times. If you are looking for a more secluded property then check out my other listings as they may fit the bill!

CRITTERS
The chalet is less than 4 miles from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are over 19,000 species that have been documented in the park and scientists believe another 80,000-100,000 species may live there. Therefore, a lot of those critters also reside in our neck of the woods. The chalet is treated monthly by a licensed pest control company, however, there is still a chance that a critter could make its way inside (for example: a bug) or outside (for example: a bear). It is just a part of forest living!

MOUNTAIN VIEW
There is an opening of trees which creates a small unobstructed view of Mt Le Conte. You can see the outline of the whole mountain behind the other trees, especially when the leaves are not filled in.

Our comfortable 1,400 SQF, 3 BR +loft chalet will provide you with mountaintop privacy while being only a few minute drive to Dollywood and the Strip.
In the morning step outside to one of the 3 porches and watch the sun rise over the mountaintops. In the evening kickback and spend time with family in the living room or just relax in the hot tub. The Chalet features a well-equipped kitchen, WIFI, 4 smart TVs, air hockey table, games & everything you would need for the perfect Smokies getaway.

The space
The main floor is the heart of the chalet featuring a large open ceiling, living room & dining areas and a well-equipped kitchen.

The living room & dining areas are furnished with a sleeper sofa, 2 recliners, 65” TV, table with seating for six, a card table and small table where you can work (if you don’t get distracted by the view). Feel right at home in the fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to keep the crew happy & well fed.

Just outside the kitchen is a large wrap around porch with a hot tub, electric BBQ grill and place to sit and enjoy the mountains. Just off the dining area is another porch with a table & chairs [please note, the door to this porch is lower so just watch your head on the way out]

On the other side of the kitchen, you will find a king room, queen room, a full bathroom between both bedrooms and a washer & dryer just outside the bathroom.

Upstairs in the loft you will find an air hockey table and board games for the whole family to enjoy. The loft features a twin trundle bed as well. Just past the loft you will find a full bathroom & the Master king room with a private balcony [and a view!]
All three bedrooms plus the loft have a 45” smart TV and hardwood floors.

Other things to note
For your convenience we have a pack N play, highchair, and baby bath in the cabin.
We provide a starter set of laundry detergent, dishwashing powder, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, 1 toilet paper per bath, organic body soap, Mountain Fresh Nourishing shampoo, and trash bags per reservation. There is no daily housekeeping service.
PET POLICY : Guest to pay additional pet fee in the amount of $150 per stay for up to two dogs (NO CATS or other pets allowed). Max of 2 Dogs. No Aggressive breeds allowed. (Pit Bull, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, etc) Dog must be under 65 lbs. Pets must be housebroken. Please see house rules for full pet conditions.
NETFLIX: You can enjoy our Netflix subscription or login to the streaming service of your choice.
BBQ: There is an electric BBQ located on the back porch. Please note that it is just not feasible to clean this after every guest, and so you may have to clean it before use, depending on how the last guest left it.
The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig machine however, we do not provide K cups so be sure to bring some of your own!
Please note, as with many properties in this area the Chalet is on well water.
Absolutely no Smoking! Smoking is only allowed in the driveway.
Security: For the safety and security of the owner and guests there is a security camera that automatically records audio and video of the exterior of the property. The camera does not point toward windows or the spa.
**NOTE! This cabin is winter friendly, but we do not offer refunds for weather. Please check the weather before you come and be prepared with all-wheel-drive and groceries should it snow.
Access: The front door has an electronic lock; you will be provided the code a few days before check-in.
Please note we have recently replaced all the carpet in the bedrooms & loft with hardwood flooring.
