I purchased the cottage at first site just because I was drawn into it's inviting, homey, welcoming energy and was so spotlessly clean; if I didn't know better, I'd think the former owners cleaned the dirt in the yard prior to the sale! This dreamy little cottage offers easy driving access, with no steep winding mountain roads. One floor living with no stairs makes our cottage ideal for everyone. Hardwood floors throughout gives that warm make yourself at home feeling. A fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare that perfect meal or light snack is in the pantry. A Keurig coffee brewer along with coffee grounds, coffee pods, creams and sugars are provided in the kitchen. Not into coffee? We also offer a wide selection of teas for your enjoyment. The kitchen is stocked with soaps, paper towels and trash bags as well. Only the finest bed linens are stretched on top of the super comfortable/Willenburg Tufted queen bed and you will find soft snuggly towels in the bathroom. Cottage by the Creek is an original 1930’s renovated farmhouse on Walden's Creek with our back porch only feet from it. The pictures are accurate in scale. The roads are flat and easy particularly in winter - no getting snowed in! It is private, peaceful and plenty of wildlife comes by early in the morning for a drink. The ducks come twice a day like clockwork. If you are up early, you may see the turkey family come by or "Granddaddy Long Legs", our resident blue heron. No matter the time of day, the birds are everywhere and we have feeders out for them for you to enjoy bird watching!

The creek is shallow enough to wade, explore and hunt for crawdads and small fish and you can relax to the sound of a babbling brook right outside the back door. Yes, you can try to fish it in the deeper pools! We are pet friendly so bring your dog to enjoy the creek as much as you will. Of course, nighttime is beautiful with the firepit and the view of the stars; for those who love to camp, you will feel like you are camping under the stars in the woods...but your comfortable bed is just inside!

The home itself is a farmhouse that was located years ago to this property and we have completely renovated it. It is cozy and as peaceful inside as it is outside. We have added large windows across the back to be able to see the view from both the back bedroom and the living/dining area. It feels like you are entering a secret cottage tucked away in the trees and yet, you are only minutes from Pigeon Forge at the Wears Valley/Parkway intersection. It could not be more convenient to the activities in the area. For example, the popular Island and Ferris wheel in Pigeon Forge is just 10 minutes from the home and the pool membership we have for guests at Honeysuckle Resort is just 10 minutes to the south in Wears Valley.

The cottage is all one level so no stairs to deal with and we have a yard for the kids to play in. One important rule for the creek is nothing can be removed from the creek such as rocks, wildlife, etc. This area is protected by the National Forest Reserve.

As a 2024 update, we have updated the couch and have added two comfy chairs that rock and swivel to the living room - pictures coming. We have a reverse osmosis water machine under the kitchen sink, so you have filtered water. The coffee pot will take both K-cups and regular coffee and we stock coffee and some tea there along with many spices for cooking in when you want to. For the kiddos, we have a foosball table in the back bedroom suite area, many books and movies and Playstation games, a TP tent and badminton set. So, for the days when you want to stay in and relax, you are set.

We hope this cottage will delight our guests! It has been a lot of work and we feel like we should have a fixer upper show but it has been worth it to see the cottage literally come alive with the vision we had when we first walked in. Enjoy!

Nestled at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in beautiful Wears Valley, Tennessee, “Happy Camper” rests on a shady and secluded knoll, easily accessible from scenic Highway 321 and within minutes of a Park entrance and action-packed Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Nature abounds on this 15+ acres of property. Deer, rabbits, squirrels, and, yes, bears all inhabit the surrounding woods and would be considered your only neighbors. A mountain pathway adjoining “Happy Camper” invites you to stroll or hike among mature hardwoods, mountain laurels, and rhododendrons. Find the park bench along the path and stop to enjoy a little solitude. The driveway from Covemont Road (county road) to the property is in excellent condition. If you arrive at night, no problem; motion lights will automatically illuminate for you! Only six steps up from the driveway, you have arrived on the covered entry deck with a keypad door!

Welcome inside the Joanna Gaines' motif “Happy Camper,” where the fully-equipped kitchen awaits you (owners are parents of five and grandparents of seven, so they know the importance of having cookie sheets, a toaster, and plenty of pots and pans available to you). Even a washer and dryer are hidden in the kitchen closet. A dining table seats four easily, and TV trays are on hand to extend seating or to use while relaxing in living/sunrooms. Additionally, there is a custom-built picnic table and a gas grill right out the door for al fresco dining and grilling.

The living area boasts double leather recliners, a shag rug, large tv, and a Murphy bed with a top-of-the-line SealyTM mattress (single size). A cozy gas corner fireplace will provide beautiful flames that are great to watch while also providing an excellent source of warm heat! The adjoining sunroom has two loveseats (one of which makes out a single bed and a comfortable mattress). The sunroom is a favorite place to stretch out with a good book!

​​​​​​​Everything needed for a wonderful night's sleep or an afternoon nap is included in the bedroom. King-sized bed (again, with top-of-the-line mattress—owners say a good night's sleep is essential to a good vacation), phone docking stations built into side tables, custom-made shutters to enjoy both privacy and the natural beauty of the outdoors. There is also a TV in the bedroom if you want to end your day with a good movie or wake up to some morning news (but why?).
The bathroom is accessible from both the living area and the bedroom and includes a full-sized see-through corner shower and sink with space for additional items (makeup, toothbrushes, etc.). Forget your hair dryer? No problem. There is one in the bathroom for you! The bathroom also has a nice window to enjoy additional light and nature outdoors.

“Happy Camper” has a covered front porch with rockers (metal porch roof, so you will enjoy hearing the mountain rain). Additionally, the front porch deck is completely enclosed with a latched gate so that little ones or small pets are kept safe. On the back and a private side of the carriage is an open deck featuring a built-in hot tub (also with a latched gate), Adirondack chairs for soaking in the afternoon sunshine, and a view directly towards the outdoor firepit. The hot tub is brand new, just like everything else at “Happy Camper, and is professionally maintained with the highest standards of cleanliness.

Go straight into the woods from the open deck and gather your own kindling and logs for a memorable night around the campfire (hot dogs and marshmallow skewers are in the kitchen cabinet). Create your own personal ambiance on the private deck, in the hot tub, and around the fire pit. The night is yours! Seize the moment!

“Happy Camper” is the perfect cottage for two but can also accommodate two additional guests, including the custom-built Murphy bed and the pull-out sofa.

Our water is straight from the mountains via a private well full of vitamins and minerals. It tastes excellent, so much so that many people come to get their drinking water from this area.

Road Conditions to This Cabin:
All are easily accessible roads. As you turn off paved Covemont Road onto a gravel road, be sure to keep your speed steady as you climb the slight hill; bear to the left/straight ahead at the "Happy Camper" sign. Do NOT go right on the road. The cabin is in front of you at the turn where the sign is located.

Downtown Gatlinburg is designed for pedestrians with a parkway that runs from end-to-end and a charming River Walk along the Little Pigeon River. You can also access the national park trails from three points in the downtown area along Highway 441.

The Gatlinburg Trolley is a great way to see the area without having to take your car. It operates 365 days a year and offers seven color-coded routes with more than 100 stops throughout the city and surrounding areas, including the national park and nearby town of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The trolley runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to midnight May through October and 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in November through to February. Fares range from 50 cents to $2, depending on the route making it a very inexpensive way to get around.

We are surrounded by 100's of acres of beautiful forest, as we are located within a subdivision of mostly undeveloped 5- & 10-acre wooded lots. Access to the cottage is via a gravel, and at times, bumpy road (approximately 3 min drive). We and our storybook cottage neighbors have elected to NOT allow the road to be paved, as doing so would allow the density to change from 5 & 10 acre lots, to small postage stamp size lots. This would make our little mountain desirable to developers who would bald our beautiful woods, build rows of cabins, and displace our wildlife. (Therefore, the road will remain gravel and on a monthly maintenance program). We feel blessed we are able to preserve and enjoy the experience of this little piece of smoky mountain heaven and, we are happy to share with our guests, the beauty of undisturbed nature and wildlife, that is far too fast becoming a rarity.

While this Pigeon Forge tiny home may look small, its central location allows for easy access to big adventures! Start your mornings off by sipping coffee on the front porch’s hammock, then drive less than 6 miles to explore local distilleries, Dollywood, or The Island in Pigeon Forge. This tiny house is all of 200 sq ft with a ladder to the loft bed and a pull-out futon. Being that every space in this house is utilized there is no sink in the bathroom making the kitchen sink "the SINK". House is located on a steep driveway with a flat parking surface at the top of the hill. This place although small brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Cozy up near the electrical fireplace on those chilly nights, or read a book on the porch hammock.

Please stay away from the ruins of the old house which burned in the 2016 fires.

"Hemlock Hollow" is a quaint cottage nestled among the Hemlock trees in the beautiful Wears Valley area. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage that sleeps 6 is approximately 10 minutes from Townsend, 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge, and 25 minutes from Gatlinburg. The road going to the cottage is paved, then you will
travel a peaceful, serene, wooded gravel drive until you reach "Hemlock Hollow". Once you reach the chalet the driveway is paved with an incline and will accommodate 2 vehicles comfortably. This cabin is not motorcycle or trailer friendly.

With 29 steps to enter the cottage, you will be amazed by all the comforts of home when you step inside. On the main level, you will find a spacious living room with a comfortable sleeper sofa couch and 2 new recliners to kick your feet up after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. On those winter nights relax and escape from reality in front of the gas fireplace while watching TV or reading a book. Adjoining the living room you will find the laundry room with a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Adjacent to the living room is the dining area where you will have a fully equipped kitchen and dining for 4 people comfortably. Also, located on the main level is a bedroom with a shared bathroom. - "The view! The view! The view was amazing. We could see the fireworks at Dollywood every night. Relaxation was on point. We came for a wedding. The venue was right there. It is a steep walk back up but it was ok. It is on top of Bluff Mountain. The drive up was interesting to say the least. Be prepared for steep inclines and tight turns. Take it slow and you will be fine. Coming down was interesting as well. We went up Friday and didn't come back down until Sunday. We were there for the weekend and will defend be back. We did not see any bears however the bride who had one next to us did see one. So we did see her pictures. The staff were very attentive when I did call with any questions. All in all..perfect property whether you come for a wedding or not."

Tennessee, “Happy Camper” rests on a shady and secluded knoll, easily

accessible from scenic Highway 321 and within minutes of a Park entrance and

Nature abounds on this 15+ acres of property. Deer, rabbits, squirrels, and,

yes, bears all inhabit the surrounding woods and would be considered your only

neighbors. A mountain pathway adjoining “Happy Camper” invites you to stroll

or hike among mature hardwoods, mountain laurels, and rhododendrons. Find the

park bench along the path and stop to enjoy a little solitude. The driveway

from Covemont Road (county road) to the property is in excellent condition. If

you arrive at night, no problem; motion lights will automatically illuminate

for you! Only six steps up from the driveway, you have arrived on the covered

entry deck with a keypad door!

Welcome inside the Joanna Gaines' motif “Happy Camper,” where the fully-

equipped kitchen awaits you (owners are parents of five and grandparents of

seven, so they know the importance of having cookie sheets, a toaster, and

plenty of pots and pans available to you). Even a washer and dryer are hidden

in the kitchen closet. A dining table seats four easily, and TV trays are on

hand to extend seating or to use while relaxing in living/sunrooms.

Additionally, there is a custom-built picnic table and a gas grill right out

the door for al fresco dining and grilling.

The living area boasts double leather recliners, a shag rug, large tv, and a

Murphy bed with a top-of-the-line SealyTM mattress (single size). A cozy gas

corner fireplace will provide beautiful flames that are great to watch while

also providing an excellent source of warm heat! The adjoining sunroom has two

loveseats (one of which makes out a single bed and a comfortable mattress).

The sunroom is a favorite place to stretch out with a good book!

​​​​​​​Everything needed for a wonderful night's sleep or an afternoon nap is

included in the bedroom. King-sized bed (again, with top-of-the-line

mattress—owners say a good night's sleep is essential to a good vacation),

phone docking stations built into side tables, custom-made shutters to enjoy

both privacy and the natural beauty of the outdoors. There is also a TV in the

bedroom if you want to end your day with a good movie or wake up to some

morning news (but why?).

The bathroom is accessible from both the living area and the bedroom and

includes a full-sized see-through corner shower and sink with space for

additional items (makeup, toothbrushes, etc.). Forget your hair dryer? No

problem. There is one in the bathroom for you! The bathroom also has a nice

window to enjoy additional light and nature outdoors.

“Happy Camper” has a covered front porch with rockers (metal porch roof, so

you will enjoy hearing the mountain rain). Additionally, the front porch deck

is completely enclosed with a latched gate so that little ones or small pets

are kept safe. On the back and a private side of the carriage is an open deck

featuring a built-in hot tub (also with a latched gate), Adirondack chairs for

soaking in the afternoon sunshine, and a view directly towards the outdoor

firepit. The hot tub is brand new, just like everything else at “Happy Camper,

and is professionally maintained with the highest standards of cleanliness.

Go straight into the woods from the open deck and gather your own kindling and

logs for a memorable night around the campfire (hot dogs and marshmallow

skewers are in the kitchen cabinet). Create your own personal ambiance on the

private deck, in the hot tub, and around the fire pit. The night is yours!

Road Conditions to This Cabin:

All are easily accessible roads. As you turn off paved Covemont Road onto a

gravel road, be sure to keep your speed steady as you climb the slight hill;

bear to the left/straight ahead at the "Happy Camper" sign. Do NOT go right on

the road. The cabin is in front of you at the turn where the sign is located.

The space
Guests will enjoy a modern structure with a beautifully decorated contemporary space. The main area of the interior has an open concept with high ceilings complete with southern facing windows and large glass slider to take advantage of the area views. In the great room you will find a loveseat, two chairs, and a flat screen smart television with YouTube TV to keep up on the latest shows and sports. The kitchenette has granite countertops, a two-burner stove, convection microwave and mini refrigerator (3.1 cu. ft.). It is stocked with dishes, serving bowls, drinking glasses, wine glasses, pots and pans, cooking utensils and other basic items for preparing small meals.

Each cottage can accommodate up to six guests with our king master suite on the main level and our upstairs loft with two queen beds. The walk-in glass shower and heated mirror provide guests with all of the comforts as you get ready for the day ahead.

Our outdoor space features a deck with two adirondack chairs to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the beautiful morning sunrise. In the evening, you can enjoy our common area fire pit with a glass of wine while watching the lights of the city below. We have also recently added a charcoal grill and a hammock to enjoy the peaceful setting.

The cabin is located in Sevierville, Tennessee approximately 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge. These cottages will be great if you are hiking The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, visiting Dollywood, reconnecting with family or just enjoying a relaxing stay in the mountains. The cottage provides the perfect mountain getaway. At an elevation of 2,077 feet, the property provides panoramic views of the majestic mountains, a nighttime view of the lights of Pigeon Forge, and a glimpse of the seasonal fireworks show at Dollywood.

We share the scenic property with the Trillium Wedding Venue, where celebrations occasionally take place. Events conclude by 10:00 PM each night.

To access the property, the drive will take you up the mountain and on winding roads with some breathtaking views along the way. Utopia Way, our drive and all parking spaces are paved for ease of access. However, a four wheel drive may be necessary to travel on the mountain roads during the winter months of the year.

The heated swimming pool is only available if you’re staying between March 10th and Nov 10th.

To comply with Sevier County Code, a pool spalsh Alarm is installed on pool and it can be controlled from a pool alarm monitor located inside home, on the living room wall near to Arcade machine
