Now for the good - this place is less than 100 steps from the beach and was a great value for the price. The kitchen was great for cooking a few meals to save money and while a little leaky the shower in the common backyard was perfect to hose off the sand. An amazing central location to many attractions and almost entirely soundproof. "

Welcome to the Queen of Harts, our 2BR/1BA, waterfront cottage on Lake Hartwell w/private, deep water dock. The house is located on a quite street 25 min to Clemson.
Interior has been remodeled including farmhouse kitchen sink, butcher block countertops, dishwasher, large bathroom, washer/dryer, and new furnishings.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets on the dock or explore the cove on stand-up paddle boards included with rental.
Other amenities include wi-fi, 55" Smart TV, charcoal grill, and fire pit.

The space
The house is a perfect size for two couples or a family get-away with 2 bedrooms and pull-out sofa. While our capacity is listed at 6 to accommodate kids, we don’t recommend more that 4 adults stay at a time. The deep water dock is great for swimming, fishing, floating, or docking your boat for the duration of your stay. Because the dock is deep (8-10 feet) year around, the hill from the house may be strenuous for some. The cove is quite with no houses directly across as it is a nesting ground for blue herons. The dock faces west so you can enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening from either the dock or deck. The deck has a table and chairs for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or sunset dinner.

Power and water available at lake edge light post. King bed in the master bedroom and full size bed in the 2nd bedroom. Laundry room with washer/dryer. Flat screen TV in the living room with lots of comfortable seating, twin sofa bed in living room, twin day bed for naps or reading in the large dining area. Newly renovated May 2016 with fresh paint from ceiling to trim, new light fixtures, new flooring and new linens. Living room has ROKU device so you can use your streaming services to keep up with all your current shows.

Comfortable and casual Escape From Reality is great for boating and fishing on Lake Hartwell. The cottage began life as a trailer but has been permanently affixed to the foundation, has additions and new roof. Great water zone so we always have water. Pets must be kept on a leash. Charcoal grills on the deck and fire pit in the back yard. Screened in porch with lots of comfortable seating. Not completely rustic but comfortable, clean and peaceful !

Relax & enjoy the beautiful views of lake Hartwell from the front porch daybed swing, hot tub, or private dock. Less than 20 min. to downtown Anderson Pendleton or Clemson. This prime location on lake Hartwell is a 10 minute boat ride to Portman Shoals Marina, the Galley restaurant, & Green Pond Landing.

The space
Whippoorwill Cottage is a newly renovated one bedroom lakefront get away with a large open area for gathering. Double glass doors open into a 15 x 17 bedroom with a firm California king bed, 2 nightstands, and seating area. The bathroom has a soaking tub, tile shower with glass surround, washer/dryer, TV, and towel warmer. Both the living room and bedroom also have smart TVs. Just out the front door is a porch with plenty of seating and a daybed swing with beautiful lake view. The deck has a hot tub and double chaise lounge overlooking the lake and dock. You will find 2 hooded robes hanging in the bathroom. We have a large couch for sleeping as well as a twin mattress and frame that can be set up for extra sleeping space. Please let me know before you arrive if you would like the twin bed set up. The cottage is not suited for more than 4 guests, but is a perfect romantic couples getaway. Guest access
You will have access to the white cottage, hot tub, dock, paddle board, kayaks, and the shared volleyball court. Please keep your cars on the asphalt driveway or the gravel parking pad.

Other things to note
If you plan to get in the lake and the hot tub, please bring 2 swimsuits. The bathing suit you swim in the lake in can not be used in the hot tub. If you don’t change suits, the algae will transfer to the hot tub and may make it unusable for the rest of your visit. Please cover the hot tub and secure the lid when not in use. Only potty trained and booked guests are allowed in the hot tub. For insurance purposes, no outside guests are permitted to use the hot tub. There will be enough tea, coffee, espresso, paper products, shampoo, soap, and conditioner available for you to use until you can make it to the store. After using the ladder and bench on the dock, please pull it back out of the water after each use. I will leave some beach towels. Please don’t take white towels down to the lake.

Dock: More than six feet of water at the end of the dock and is able to tie up most boats (fishing boats, pontoons, surf boats, etc. should not have a problem). Boat launch is large enough for our 23ft boat and is available to only our guests. Driveway has plenty of room to park your cars and boat trailer.

The house has exclusive access to the private beach, front lawn overlooking the lake, patio, parking spaces closest to house, 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, the kids corner in the outdoor building, and dock. The property is gated on two sides with an iron gate at the front entrance.
All other outdoor buildings are off limits to guests.

Other things to note
The home has fiber internet with 700Mbps speed.

There is tons of parking for fisherman - plenty of room to park your boat, trailer, trucks, etc.

Parties of any kind are strictly prohibited.
This property is a no smoking no vaping property and this is strictly enforced.

This Seabrook Island cottage comfortably sleeps 6 guests throughout the 3 spacious bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a brand-new Restonic king bed with a cooling feature, has access to the screened porch through sliding glass doors, and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower. The second bedroom features a queen bed, has direct access to the deck, and the third bedroom includes 2 twin beds. The two guest rooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

Summerwind Cottages are located near the Seabrook Island Club, Crooked Oaks, and Ocean Winds Golf Course, a short bike ride or walk to the beach or Club pools. We provide starter supplies, enough for 3-4 day stays. It will be up to the guest to replenish those supplies for extended stays.
