We are happy to welcome you as guests in our 1-room apartment on the edge of the forest.
The small apartment Waldeck has a well-equipped kitchenette, a dining area with TV, a 1.80 m wide box spring bed and a shower with toilet. WiFi can be used free of charge. The house entrance is at ground level, then you go down a staircase. The apartment, with an 18 sqm terrace and seating furniture, is then also at ground level, as our house is located on the slope. The tourist tax is added to the final price.

The space
Throughout the house we have Grander water, which enhances the already excellent Grainauer water from high tanks and makes it taste very good.

There is also a place for skis and ski boots.

Guest access
Dear future guests, the tourist tax is €3.50 per person per night, children 6-16 years pay €1.50.
This fee can be paid in cash upon arrival. You will then receive a guest card with which you can take the bus to Eibsee and Garmisch, go to the swimming pool once a week free of charge (except during the inspection period) and many other free or discounted promotions are possible.

The optimal, year-round starting point for hiking, mountain, cycling and ski tours, including the Eibsee and the Zugspitze.

Here you can rest in peace at the foot of the Waxensteine and on the meadows towards Garmisch Partenkirchen with a view of Wank and Kramer, as well as Alpspitze and Waxensteine.

Feel comfortable in 3 enclosed, newly renovated and fully furnished apartments of about 45 to 75 square meters with beautiful mountain views, south and south-east balcony.

In winter, the cross-country ski trail starts in the adjacent meadows around the house corner, the bus and train stops (you run free of charge with your spa card) are only a 5-minute walk away, so you can - if desired - leave your car completely parked with us on vacation.

Optimal: You can reach the valley stations of Alpspitze and Kreuzeck (Kandahar) by train in just 3 minutes, the local mountain in 10 minutes, and it is only 18 minutes to the Eibsee and valley station to the Zugspitze.
By bus or car, our house is only 5 km away, or 7 km from the valley stations. And it alternatively also leads beautiful hiking trails to there.

On request, the bakery also delivers fresh baked goods until 7 a.m. from Wednesday to inclusive Sunday, so that nothing stands in the way of a good breakfast before every day of vacation.

The ski bus to Austria is also free for you with the spa card.

Our small nice vacation apartment "Ziegspitz" is idyllically quiet on the edge of the forest. In the apartment there is a small well-equipped kitchen. In the combined living and sleeping room with a 2.00 x 1.60 m wide bed, there is also a small dining table, closet, chest of drawers with storage space and a TV. This includes a private terrace and a small garden. There is a private carport for the car/bike. Access to the apartment is via an external staircase.

They spend their holidays in a low-energy house with integrated living space ventilation.

Grainau is a beautiful place with lots of outdoor activities and our settlement is right at the foot of the Zugspitze. The adjacent forest invites you to visit the Eibsee, the highest mountain in Germany, on foot or by bike, or simply to take a short walk.
Located directly on the road to the Eibsee, you are at the top of the most idyllic lake with mountain views in no time. The Badersee is also within walking distance and invites you to stroll.

You can make yourself comfortable in our apartment. Above all, the spacious living room with adjoining kitchen and terrace access invites you to cook and linger.
In the bedroom, a loft bed offers the best sleeping comfort.

Our very well-kept and appealing house is located in the Zugspitzdorf Grainau (758 m above sea level), directly at the entrance to the Höllentalklamm, with direct connection to both Zugspitz-Bahn and public bus transport.
The optimal, year-round starting point for hiking, mountain, cycling and ski tours, including the Eibsee and the Zugspitze.

Here you can rest in peace at the foot of the Waxensteine and on the meadows towards Garmisch Partenkirchen with a view of Wank and Kramer, as well as Alpspitze and Waxensteine.
Eibsee, Badersee and Riessersee are also easily accessible.

Feel comfortable in 3 enclosed, newly renovated and fully furnished apartments of about 45 to 75 square meters with beautiful mountain views, south and south-east balcony.
You will be able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and relax wonderfully!

In our 2023 newly renovated 65 sqm apartment are waiting for you: Internet access Wi-Fi, Smart TV, digital radio, microwave, stove with oven, coffee maker, kettle, egg boiler, toaster, alarm clock, bed linen, hand and bath towels, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel, soap, disinfectant solution, dish soap, hand and bath towels, hair dryer.
This apartment also offers a hallway with a large closet and wardrobe, as well as a bathroom with shower and bath as well as a separate toilet.

You have a completely closed apartment for yourself on the 1st floor. We will give you your own house and apartment key upon your arrival.
The apartment will be all yours for the duration of your stay.

Please also note that a tourist tax is levied on the prices quoted by the municipality of Grainau. In 2025, this amounts to €3.50 per night and adult from 16 years and €1.50 for children from 6 to 15 years.

However, there are many discounts from the municipality and the surrounding municipalities, including the free use of numerous buses in the area, as well as the Zugspitz railway from Grainau to Garmisch Partenkirchen and to Eibsee (in both directions) as well as in the area of Grainau and Garmisch throughout the stay.
The ski bus to Austria is also free for you with the spa card.

The bus and train stop is only a 5-minute walk away, so you can - if desired - leave your car parked with us on vacation.

Optimal: You can reach the valley stations of Alpspitze and Kreuzeck (Kandahar) in just 3 minutes by train, the local mountain in 10 minutes and the Eibsee and the valley station to the Zugspitze are only 18 minutes away, significantly faster than from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
By bus or car, our house is only 5 km or 7 km from the valley stations.

We are particularly well located for your hikes and any kind of winter sports!
Because many hikes start right at our house, for example, the start of the hike to the Höllentalklamm is only a 5-minute walk away.
In winter, the cross-country ski trail begins in the adjacent meadows around the Hauseck. The bus and train stops (you travel free of charge with your spa card) are only a 5-minute walk away, so you can - if desired - leave your car completely parked with us while on vacation.

Alternatively, you can also reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen on foot via a beautiful path through the flowering meadows (also cleared in winter).
