Weather made it tricky to get there in the snow, and then the thaw kept driving difficult; but it was still accessible in a normal car. Had a lovely quiet Hogmanay in a cosy house in a location which was great for dog walks."

- "I am so happy I didn't let the lack of reviews and photos stop me from booking this lodge! We were the first guests to stay at Mark's timeshare, and we couldn't have been more pleased. There are only 13 lodges in an extremely quiet and serene location. We had wild hares and pheasants outside nearly every day. The Cameron Spa is just a few minutes' walk away. I HIGHLY recommend visiting -- the thermal and hydro experience are free for guests and amazing! (Just call ahead to reserve your time.) To be clear, this is a Cameron Club lodge next to the Cameron Spa and Cameron Clubhouse and golf course. Cameron House, with its hotel, pool with water slide, and separate lodges, is an easy few minutes' drive down the A82. Guests may use the Cameron House pool for free, which my children loved! Shortly before your stay, expect to be contacted by Cameron House Owner and Guest Services to register and provide a credit card number. This caught me off-guard, but once I understood this is a timeshare, it made sense. At the end of your stay they will charge for electricity (ours was 37 pounds for 4 nights), which wasn't a part of our original listing, so Mark has offered to reimburse us. Note: the listing says 3 BR, 4 BA, but there are 2 BR (1 king and one with 2 twin beds) and 3 BA. There is an additional pulldown bed in the living area. Mark clarified this ahead of our stay. As we were two adults and two children, it was perfect! I would not hesitate to stay here again!"

The space
Your bedroom: first floor lockable private room with a superking hybrid orthopaedic mattress, orthopaedic pillows (others pillows availble) and cosy duvet. Desk/table area, and plenty of storage space. The room faces the garden, so is lovely and quiet with sunset views in the evenings.

Bathrooms: we have two shower rooms, one on each floor of the house, these will generally be shared with us.

Lounge: warm and cosy with large sofas, a TV with cable channels and streaming apps, and a wood burning fire.

Kitchen/diner: all modern amenities for cooking, and a dining table for eating meals at.

Garden: large enclosed garden with a large patio, and furniture to sit/lounge/lay on.

Utility room: washing machine and tumble dryer available, please just ask to use and we can set this up for you.

We have two friendly dogs - Mulder and Lyra, they are not allowed in the guest room, but they have free reign of the rest of the house and the garden. Mulder is a roughly 12 year old rescue Staffordshire Terrier and is the most lovable wee sook ever. Lyra is a rescue Shar Pei/Staffy cross who is 5 years old, she takes a bit longer to come around, but is full of love and affection when she does.

We are a dog friendly house-hold, but if you want to bring your own dog to stay please only book in with us if your dog is dog friendly.

The only areas that are off access are our bedroom and the formal dining room which doubles as my WFH office.

During your stay
We will be around for a good amount as I work from home (in the dining room, so won't be in your way). We would like to do most check-ins in person, but we will have a self check-in facility if needed.

We are happy to offer some advice, or just have a chat, and are equally fine with giving you your space.

Other things to note
The dogs will be around the house most of the day, and I (Kelly) work fully from home. Neve will work from home on rare occassions and will require the use of the lounge for her work on those days, we are happy to work around any set days that you might want to use the lounge though.

Free on site parking with Wifi (Virgin). The property is located 1.9 miles from Loch Lomond. Balloch Marina is a 5 minute drive and the flat has easy access to numerous shops. Alexandria's train station (4 min walk) with easy access to Glasgow.
Locally you visit the Tee Zone for kids, Balloch Marina and Loch Lomond shores are again a 5 minute drive with shops and eateries. The famous pub Drover's Inn is further up the Loch.

Accommodation is offered in the simple and stylish conversion of the farm outbuildings. Situated two minutes from Balloch in a quiet and peaceful location.

A continental breakfast is left in the fridge for you to prepare including: muesli, bread, milk, orange juice, cheese, oatcakes, fruit, jam, shortbread, ground coffee and a selection of teas.

The space
The Stable accommodation is spacious, upstairs has two single beds - there is no door however cannot be seen from the ground.

Downstairs is open plan with a double bed, sofa, table/chairs and tv. There is a little kitchen area, a toaster, kettle, fridge where continental breakfast is left - please note that no cooking facilities are available.

There is one shower room.

The flat is spacious, newly decorated & 1.9 miles from stunning Loch Lomond. Outside street parking & Wifi, quality beds, bedding and towels are provided.

The town centre with shops and amenities just a few minutes walk. Balloch, gateway to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, is a 20 minute walk. There's a variety of restaurants including the picturesque Duck Bay Marina. A short drive along the loch will lead you to the atmospheric Drovers Inn which dates back to the 17th century.

The space
Top bedroom has panoramic views of the hills and town.
There is a small pub 50 yards from flat and a Chinese take away next tot he pub.

My place is close to public transport(rural bus service)(trains from Balloch to Glasgow) , family-friendly activities, the airport(30mins). You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the scenery, Loch Lomond National Park, Across the road from the RSPB Nature reserve, Local Village life, lovely eating places and tea rooms.. My place is good for couples, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

The space
Fabulous Scottish country cottage with views over the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. Set in fifteen acres with a two and a half acre mature garden with a large duck pond. Almost all rooms have substansial views of the surrounding country side.

The property has been fully renovated to an exceptionally high standard and is furnished in a country cottage style. Cottage has 2 bedrooms (one double one twin), 2 bathrooms (one with bath one with shower), a large dining kitchen with a professional quality range cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher.

The cottage is only 1 mile from the local village of Gartocharn and 4 miles from the larger village of Drymen which contains several lovely restaurants and amenities.

We are happy to take pets by arrangement a small £20.00 fee is charged and payable on arrival.
We do not charge for cleaning but we reserve the right to charge a standard cleaning fee if the cottage is not left in good order.
The cottage is more suited to an occupancy of 4 as the fifth bed is a fold down bed suitable for a small light weight adult or child.
The cottage is more suited to older children, babies and pre-walkers but not suitable for toddlers or very small children due to the staircase and garden pond.

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place, near Loch Lomond. We built our cabin next door to our house. The area we live is an old red sandstone quarry, last used over 100yrs ago.

The space
Our cabin sits on its own next door to our home. It has one double bedroom with a king size bed. A fully equipped kitchen and sitting room, with a sofa bed and log burner. Good sized bathroom with electric shower and underfloor heating. Decking surrounding the cabin, catches the sun all day. Where there’s a table and chairs.

Our beautiful former farmhouse overlooks Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We have a secluded yet convenient location, situated only 5 minutes drive from the beautiful ancient Argyll village of Luss, and 10 minutes drive from Helensburgh. Situated only 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and Stirling ,you will be able to see many city-based attractions in addition to the beautiful rural scenery of Shegarton and the surrounding Creachan Hills.

The space
We have a one storey semi-detached stone built cottage with a communal courtyard and garden. There is parking just a few metres from the front door. The cottage has a secluded outdoor dining area with views over Creachan Hill. The living space consists of an open-plan living, dining, kitchen area. There is a shower room consisting of an electric shower, wash hand basin and toilet.The bedroom consists of two single beds, wardrobe, dressing table and MP3 docking station,radio/alarm and iphone charger.

We would strongly recommend that you have a car while staying at Fruin Cottage. The closest village is Luss, 5 minutes by car with the towns of Helensburgh and Dumbarton only 10 minutes away by car. There is free parking for two cars immediately adjacent to the cottage which is a very short walk from our family home. The cottage has two steps up to the main door, with everything on the level thereafter. Guests also have access to a delightful sunny outdoor sitting area with table and chairs.

A car is essential for your time at Shegarton.
The is a £25 charge if you would like to bring your dogs and they cannot be left unattended in the cottage - up to two dogs welcome.

The space
Findlay cottage is in a secluded setting at the end of a private farm track. You will be surrounded by open fields and woodland with an amazing array of wildlife and birds right outside your door. The cottage has just been refurbished and is fully equipped with everything you need - whatever the weather.

Findlay cottage parking is in a dedicated layby. A path through the field - where you’re welcome to relax, exercise, unwind with the wildlife - will lead you to the cottage. You have a private entrance and outside table and chairs. There is a porch where you can leave wet clothes and shoes.

Inside the centre of the cottage is a comfortable living room with tv, dvd, double sofa, relaxing chair, dining table and open log fire.

There’s a large bedroom with comfortable double bed, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. For a good nights sleep there’s a blackout blind as well as curtains.

Off the living room is a galley kitchen with fridge, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster and a Tassimo coffee machine.

And a bathroom with bath and electric rainfall shower.

We live in a secluded setting which is wonderful for wildlife, walking and relaxation. The village has a well stocked shop, post office and garage. The nearest supermarket, pubs and restaurants are a 10 minute drive.

Depending on the time of year the neighbouring farmers may have sheep or cattle in the adjacent farmland. They often pop up to the fence to say hello.

You’ll also see roe and red deer, hares, an amazing array of bird life and much more
