We would spent hours snorkeling as the reef is amazing (when you get to the wall on the deeper side you can see plenty of turtles), and even did a discovery dive which was brilliant (a bit expensive though but it was with the hotel). The room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant had nice food. It's a bit further away from town so you always need to take a tricycle to do anything else than snorkeling (200 pesos for 2 one way). "

Yes, you will hear the roosters and dogs as the place is embedded in the local community, however, this is nothing that a good pair of sleep earplugs wont resolve. I would always recommend this accommodation, primary because of a very kind stuff, and also because it is far enough from the madness and noise of the "central" Moalboal, and still close enough to get places.
