Torre de Maneys are two buildings, a medieval stone tower, and a common house in the village, connected by a covered bridge.
In the tower are the common areas distributed in two floors and a library mezzanine. In the house across the street are 4 of the 5 bedrooms. the price is for 4 bedrooms. The fifth bedroom is independent, and can be rented on request, for an additional € 70 per night.
Because of the topography of the village, one can enter the houses on each floor, which allows a curious relationship with the exterior and public space.
The dining room and the kitchen are upstairs downstairs and extend onto the little Place and the Street.
On the upper floor, with the entrance, is a room with a fireplace, which is my favorite corner to read in the winter evenings. The double height library with mezzanine is the favorite room for socializing, listening to music or watching a movie. Fiction and poetry books are on the mezzanine shelves, in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Rooms with private bathroom, TV, WIFI and air conditioning, heat and cold. On the side of the tower is a suite with access to the terrace.
The terrace overlooking the village, ramparts and fields in the distance. A pergola creates shade and a place to sit, read or eat. There is a flat rise up to the kitchen.
The patio is one of the possible entrances, a space sheltered from the wind and the sun to be outside.

Town
Óbidos is a special place for vacation. You can walk everywhere. Get lost in the medieval, sunny and flowery alleys, taking your time to observe the details of the constructions and spaces that surround us, houses, churches, squares. At each corner there is a surprise, small spaces to sit in the sun, endless winding slopes, the ramparts at the end of an alley, offer us the contrasts of the small spaces of the village, with the large dimension of the territory. beyond the walls, vineyards, orchards, and the mountains in the distance.
The main street “Rua Direita” is full of craft shops, wineries, cafes and restaurants.
The Óbidos literary village project offers us several (6) bookstores with contemporary authors, but also used books, and rare editions.
Always on foot we leave the city by agricultural sites which lead us to the Lagoon and the Sea, or inside to the neighboring hills and fields.

Arrival
Óbidos is 74km from Lisbon via the A8 motorway. There is a direct bus (Rodoviária do Tejo, leaving from the Campo Grande metro station), which stops at the entrance to the village. To explore the region a car is recommended.
Access to the historic center is limited to loading and unloading the car, which can reach the door of Torre de Maneys. Outside the ramparts there is a large unpaid car park.

The region is varied as a landscape, and rich in historical heritage and human occupation.
The sea has a strong presence, with the fishing ports of Peniche and Nazaré, and the beaches which unfurl in continuity between the two. The landscape along the coast is very beautiful.
Peniche has become a world surf destination
Nazaré has giant waves (the largest wave in the world), or come to surf the great professionals.
The land is very fertile and was cultivated by the monks of Cister, from the Monastery of Alcobaça, who since the 15th century have transformed the region with innovations in agriculture, creating a prosperous community. This tradition has survived, and now the region is rich in orchards, vineyards, and horticulture, which define a humanized and unique landscape.
The undulating topography, in a succession of cultivated mountains and valleys, creates a beautiful landscape for hiking.

The cities are interesting, not only from the historical and monumental point of view, but also in everyday life.
Caldas da Rainha is a Spa town, with the oldest thermal baths in Europe. There is a market for fresh produce, vegetables and fruit, every day in the Main Square.

In the center of the village, inside the castle wall, the wisteria house is an old house with a warm and familiar atmosphere. The social part is on the ground floor with all rooms on the 1st floor. The living room is large, has a fireplace and all the facilities for dining, reading, talking. Three bedrooms have a double bed and a two single beds. All rooms have plenty of light and 2 of them face a large balcony. All floors have a bathroom. The spacious and sunny garden has a barbecue, ideal for making lunches and dinners with many people.

- "Renato and Isabel were fantastic and gave us a very warm welcome. The house is located in a perfect setting on the edge of the lagoon. The view was like a post card and the beach was just in front of the house. The house had everything we needed and more, including bikes, paddle board and kayak. We enjoyed the trails and saw the flamingos. A great place for a family with children because the dunes are extensive and protected from the ocean and the water is clear and shallow. The winds are strong for kitesurfing. The location is central for visiting other sites in the region. We would come back here for sure."

Villa Ninho dos Corvos is located on the Praia del Rey resort in Obidos. The villa is fully equipped and equipped for 8 people. In between, the villa is used by the owners as a holiday home.
Praia del Rey Golf and Beach Resort is a resort with a beautiful golf course. Villa Ninho dos Corvos is a 5-minute walk from the clubhouse. The Caribbean was originally the stables and home to a donkey and turkeys but with 35sqm you won't feel cooped up in this complete high spec renovation. Accessed by its own private entrance from the spacious central courtyard, it has been fully converted to give you everything you need for your holiday - the bathroom features a custom walk in shower, the kitchen has full oven, gas hob, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, toaster, kettle and a range of gourmet tools to conjure up something with the figs that you can actually pick from leaning over on your own elevated sun deck. The sunken lounge is reached down stone steps and has a flat screen TV with main UK channels, wifi and a pellet burner, and the glass double doors slide open to the deck with BBQ and valley beyond. The double bed has been inset under a large sleeper beam to providing a cozy comfortable and unique sleeping arrangement with starry sky lights above, however it has been designed that you can easily pull the bed out if you prefer. Although very peaceful we feel QBV is ideally suited being less than 8km from both Obidos and Buddha Eden - the largest oriental garden in Europe. A variety of beaches can be reached within 25 mins including the lagoon at Foz do A'relho or the world class surf beaches at Peniche or Baleal. Lisbon is under an hour away and can be easily reached by bus or Sintra is only 1 hr 20 mins away so we feel we are ideally situated for you to have a very cosy, classy and comfortable home away from home base to relax in after exploring the delights of the Silver Coast and beyond.

The space
The house provides minimum services, such as bed linens, bath towels, shampoo, soap...

Side to the " Loft da Lagoa" there is a bakery and pastry,restaurants and in the summer also a mini-market.

The neighborhood is quiet and wild, it is a special place and you will realize how good it is to wake up here!

But sometimes in the high season is quite busy...


In five minutes drive from the area offers four amazing golf courses, Bom Sucesso resort,Royal Óbidos and Praia Del Rei.

The Lagoon offers various types of activities, such as windsurf, kite surf, canoeing, fishing or pick clams and cockles.
There is around the Lagoon a lot of tracks,flat and easy, where you can walk, run or cicling.
For those who love surfing,you also have Peniche, with one of the worldwide known beaches( Supertubos,Baleal) ideal to practice this sport.Peniche also offers boat trips to the Berlenga Island.

You will need to hire a car to enjoy the local area, but you can always get some transportation from Lisbon to Óbidos and get a taxi or even i can pick you up.

I am there as much as i can,i will always keep in touch using cellphone or WhatsApp, whenever you need.

Guest access
The Loft consists of two bedrooms, each one with private bathroom, common living room and an outside terrace...
In the common living room, the guests have acess to a Tv, dvd and wi-fi.
To prepare the breakfasts/light meals the house provide, microwave, toaster machine, fridge and electric jug for a tea or coffee (there is not a kitchen,no place to cook)
Outside the house has a deck to enjoy the beautiful view over the Lagoon...

O Loft é composto por dois quartos, cada um com casa de banho privada, uma sala comum e um terraço exterior ...
Na sala comum os hóspedes têm acesso a TV, DVD e wi-fi.
Para preparar o café da manhã/pequenas refeições a casa fornece microondas, máquina torradeira, mini-bar e jarro eléctrico para um chá ou café ( não é cozinha,não tem zona de confecção)..
Fora da casa tem um deck para apreciar a vista sobre a lagoa, com um belo pequeno-almoço....
