- "The apartments are spotlessly clean. The support team of both cleaners and maintenance men on site and the call centre are fantastic. The security of the car park and building itself are outstanding. The electrical appliances (fridge, dishwasher, hob, washing machine, dishwasher etc etc) are all brand new and premium/ recognised brands.. SMEG, Hotpoint etc... But the apartments are just missing a few home comforts. Higher standard of cutlery and knives. Mirror in the lounge or bedroom. Lamp in the lounge. Bedside lamps in the bedrooms. The black out curtains and blinds need an overhaul. These are all minor things... and so easy to fix. We would not hesitate to stay again, despite these faults and hope they will be rectified soon. Also be aware, we have observed 5 arriving guests who didnt have their confirmation code. Hotels.com block your email address to Viridian. Virdian need to email you the code to get in. So most people who had a room booked by somebody else, hadn't received the confirmation code and had to call Customer Services. If you make your own booking they will immediately follow up with an email. But if someone else has booked on your behalf, that rarely gets forwarded on."

- "Our stay began with one of our party having to chase up information about the lockbox number, without which no access to the doorkey was possible. The information eventually reached us but failed to mention that the door locks to anyone on the outside when pulled shut, and this was only discovered later in the day when we were trying to get our child to sleep which was fairly disruptive. If you choose to stay here I would say expect the wi-fi to be extremely sub-standard, which effectively puts the smart TV out of action. The most damning problem of all is the fact that the arm of the futon has been broken off leaving sharp edges (in the form of loose screws) exposed on one side. When we arrived the futon had been pushed up against another piece of furniture with the loose arm wedged between it, which was clearly an attempt to conceal that it was broken. I would have rathered known since the futon is designed to be pulled out and made into another bed, one of the beds included in the booking I must add, and this meant when we tried to use the futon as advertised we made the environment unsafe. We at last discovered this when our 2-year-old hurt herself (luckily, not badly) on these screws. I feel that the cost of the stay should safeguard a guest from these problems (and dangers) and I recommend that others book elsewhere."

- "The apartment was very clean and comfortable. But there was little communication with Abosulte Stays. I was informed I would get check in info a day prior to us checking in, I chased and didn't receive any info until we arrived at the apartment and I called asking what the check in procedure is. We were also advised we would have a parking space but when i questioned it we were told they unfortunately parking was not availabile cuurently. We were provided with information to the nearest place to park but we had to pay for this. Abosulte Stays did apologise for not providing us with info sooner."

Stunning Georgian/ Regency detached, house in Central St Albans in the Cathedral Conservation area. As such the house is just a 4 min walk to the incredible shops, bars, restaurants and amenities of St Albans. The mainline train station is just over 10 minutes’ walk away and offers a fast train to London in 17 Minutes, every 10 minutes. We can sleep up to 7 people. We have a sun trap courtyard garden and there is free parking in front of our gates which in central St Albans is a rare find.
Our home is a very well-presented character 3/4-bedroom townhouse on 3 floors that sleeps 7 people. There are up to 4 bedrooms, a family bathroom and fully loaded kitchen with all appliances. Separate dining room with large dining table and a Hoffman baby grand piano available for classics or a good old singsong. A cosy basement with a lounge with wall mounted TV and separate WC as well as the main bathroom. Sun-blessed south facing ‘heated’ rear garden with a range of games and activities for guests to enjoy including a 4-hole mini-golf course, darts, backgammon, shuffleboard and table tennis.
St Albans is an historic city, and this property was formally inhabited by a Senior Government Minister who worked for the Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. Unconnected to this, St Albans has potentially more pubs per capita than any other City in the world. The Farriers Arms, which is literally across the road, is where the world-famous CAMRA was founded. There are regular open air concerts featuring the top artists from pop to comedy.

This is a 1 bedroom located in St Albans. We have a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the livingroom. The apartment is filled with the amenities needed for a long or short stay. The apartment is a 5 mins walk to the railway station and 8 mins walk to the city centre. For some entertainment you may check out the Harry Potter World 15mins drive away. We offer free Wifi along with other amenities. This Brand-new Apartment is in a private and very convenient location and all the amenities are within short walking distance. A short train ride of 18 minutes to London and 9.6 miles to Luton Airport. Self check in property but communication is at your fingertips.
- "The flat was clean and as advertised. Check-in was smooth and when I had a question, the property manager responded quickly. The flat is close to the train station and we walked to and from with our luggage. The city center is also within easy walking distance, about 10 minutes The only thing to be aware of is there is building construction going on just across the street. Of course they stop at night and on Sundays, but it would get annoying if you were planning to spend a lot of time in the apartment during working hours. We were out seeing the sights a lot of the time so it really didn't bother us too much. If you haven't visited this area before, be sure to check out the cathedral and take the guided tour. Also, Hatfield House is a must see for history and art lovers."

- "This is a beautiful flat and very close to the city center and several pubs. It is clean, well appointed, and done to a very nice standard. It was often quite cool downstairs and very hot upstairs and it was impossible not to have water come out of the tub/shower when we showered. No on-street parking, but there was a city parking lot very close by and we never had a problem getting a spot. Would stay here again." - "This flat was perfect for us! The three well-appointed bedrooms provide a peaceful haven for a good night's sleep. Each room is thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind, featuring comfortable mattresses, ample storage space, and plenty of natural light.
The master bedroom is equipped with a king-sized bed. The second bedroom can be made in a twin or double. The default will be a twin room, please let us know if you require the double. The third bedroom is a cozy single.

- "Great location. Clean. Comfortable beds. Modern. Only negative is the internet connection/speed isn’t anywhere near the high standards of this flat. " - "Lovely property in a great area. Train station to hop into London about a 15 minute walk. Coop (and Dominoes!) just a few minutes walk away... when you find the shortcut through the car park! Check in experience was frustrating. The key code wasn't sent. I requested it 2 hours before arrival. It was received swiftly... however it was the wrong code. Noone answered the phone at Pass the Keys. It was sweltering hot and we had lugged all of our stuff from the car park as there was no parking available on the street. With 3 kids, this wasn't an ideal start. Thankfully a neighbour came to our rescue and contacted the actual owner of the property. The property overall suited our needs but we will be using another provider in the future."

Situated in Park Street village, 2 miles from St Albans. Be prepared for tiny Hobbit-like front door, exposed timbers, a huge inglenook fireplace, vaulted bedrooms and wonky floors. Five minutes from Park Street Abbey Line train station, bus stop and two local pubs, stunning woodland and lakes just behind, + take-away and convenient corner shop opposite. Cosy and higgledy-piggledy, brimming with history - an unique experience!
The space
Two separately charged bedrooms may be available - one, The Red Room aka the cosy Buddha Bedroom, with a vaulted ceiling, an exposed brick chimney, a 4.6ft small double bed, lush oriental artefacts, a Chinese chest and a secret entrance into the Narnia cupboard. The floor tilts away at an angle - you'll think you had one too many at the local pub! The second is the large Green Bedroom. It has a vaulted ceiling, a calm aura, with a desk, a spacious 5ft double bed, a cassette player and a cosy armchair in which to curl up and enjoy a selection from the library or extensive DVD collection. Each bedroom is for 1 to 2 guests only, by negotiation. If the AirBNB calendar shows as « blocked » this may be because I have a private guest - friend or family - in one of the other bedrooms so don’t be put off - it’s always worth dropping me a line to check if therés a vacancy! Guests all share a family-size bathroom with bath and shower. There’s also a toilet downstairs.
Guest access
Other than your bedroom, you'll have full access downstairs in the cottage, and the upstairs bathroom with its shower and separate Jacuzzi bath. You are welcome to tinkle the ivories, strum one of my guitars, or make yourself a cup of tea or coffee in the antique kitchen, where the wooden surfaces have been danced on by many, salvaged from the St Albans dance floor of earlier times. If you are tall, you will need to duck a lot to avoid concussion as some doorways are very low. There's a delightful summer courtyard garden at the back, complete with its own well, and two bikes in the bike shed - you're welcome to go for a cycle to the woods, as long as you know how to pump your own tyres! There's a downstairs toilet for convenience and a spinning wheel if you get bored ...
During your stay
As an author/artist/company director, I'll be around most days, working for our events’ company Kit & Caboodle. I'll always do my best to be around to welcome you in and out. If you’d like simple breakfast I can leave cereals, milk, toast, fruit, juice etc in the kitchen for you to help yourselves or enjoy down in the sunken dining room (my art studio) ... please do your own washing up! This is a very hard water area so don't be put off by limescale - the tap water is drinkable. You can share small fridge space and cook evening meals, or pop over the road to Rumbles take-away grill. Please leave toilets/bathroom clean after use. I do not clean bedrooms during guest stays. I'm happy for you to share this medieval cottage space with me and my cat, Velcro, and hope you'll enjoy the experience of being in a home, not a hotel.
Other things to note
Velcro my tabby cat is a bit shy, she might hide at first. She's not keen on small children or on being picked up. I'm interested in local history so find out why General Fairfax galloped past the cottage when Charles I was beheaded ... and other useful stuff. You'll be sharing my family bathroom, hopefully not at the same time! There's a loo downstairs, too. I speak French, some Italian and Arabic, and have lived all around the world - the cottage is full of curiousities and a lot of books in every room. I paint, write, sing and swim in the pool just up the road, I'm sociable and I like having visitors. You can log onto my wifi, there's a TV in the living room - but it doesn’t get turned on much - I prefer to have music playing - hope you like that too? I'm a relaxed hostess, and like my guests to feel welcome in this lovely old home.

The private bedroom has a very comfortable double-bed, plenty of hanging/storage space in the wardrobe (hangers provided) and a locking door. The shared bathroom is two doors down, and includes an over-bath electric shower. A 3rd single bedroom may also be available for a small additional cost – please enquire for details.
Downstairs, the contemporary living space has hardwood floors throughout, a clean, contemporary kitchen, additional WC and access to the enclosed back garden/patio.
Off-street parking is available on the front driveway for 2-3 cars.

If you're staying for more than a few nights I will expect access to the room to change bed linen (unless your happy to change the bed linen yourself ?) and to provide clean towels but also to ensure the room is being kept in a clean and tidy condition.
If you're staying for longer than a week, with a potential need to use more extensive laundry, washing and cooking facilities etc then we will need to discuss possible additional costs to cover any increased energy and water usage.
But please be assured that, during your stay, my home is your home and I'll look forward to welcoming you !

As a recent retiree, my schedule is very flexible so I will be able to greet you upon arrival and help, advise and assist during your stay. Having said that, I know different guests have different needs and expectations, so while I’m accessible to help and chat, I am also happy to give you space if you prefer!

There is no desk or TV in the double bedroom but there is a small desk available for your use in the smaller single room if you need it ! You can always make yourself comfortable in the living room to catch up on your favourite TV programmes. Full access to WiFi with average speeds up to 20-24 Mbps.

This sunny room, overlooks the garden, in lovely 3 bed terraced house in a quiet, friendly Close on the east side of the beautiful City of St Albans. It is available as a Monday to Friday let for single occupancy by a female professional.
Your own shower room and separate loo are adjacent to the bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with your own fridge.
Transport links are excellent by road, buses and train - St Albans City, Hatfield, St Albans Abbey stations are all nearby.

The room is at the back of the house, overlooking the garden and gets the morning sun. The bed is a small double with cotton bedlinen, there's a chest of drawers, a large built in wardrobe, storage, full length mirror and bedside table.

You will come into my home through the front door and up a flight of stairs to your room which is on the first floor (UK classification).
The shower room and toilet are up a further flight of stairs on the second floor (UK classification).
There's no access to any other part of the house.
