As senior citizens we were hoping for a little nicer accommodation for the price. Shower is very small and set up for tall people. Water smelled and tasted of rust. Sheets were provided but no pillow cases. Mattress was covered in loose plastic which made the bed hot and noisy. A cleaning fee was charged but we were expected to do most of the cleaning according to the signs in each room. The only thing we weren't expected to do is wash the bedding and rugs."

Location is one of the big advantages of staying in Northwoods. This two-bedroom, one-bathcabinis close to the parking area, the common space with sauna and fire pit, and the boat docks. Northwoods is a true Minnesotan-inspired cabin, with rustic pine walls and touches of green to bring nature indoors.

The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while a second bedroom is furnished with two sets of trundle twin beds that keep sleep four.Both rooms have large windows and ceiling fans to circulate the air.

Closely resembling the original one-bedroom cabins where hunters, trappers, and fisherman found shelter, this two-bedroom, one-bath cabin is centrally located with a nice open area just outside the front door.

The twobedrooms are small and separated from the living area by curtains. The kitchen opens to the living space and provides all the essentials.The bathroom is equipped with a standing shower,but no tub. Where space may be limited in other areas, this cabin does boast a large main living space with a comfortable sofa.Floors are carpeted with the exception of the bathroom and the kitchen space. Headwater is the furthest from the parking area. As such, it offers a bit more privacy and separation from the rest of the property. Named after the Mississippi Headwaters in nearby Itasca State Park, this bright and fresh cabin overlooks an area of the lake where the natural aquatic vegetation is abundant.

This two-bedroom, one-bath cabin is filled with fresh, natural light. The warm white wood-paneled walls, modern tray ceiling with recessed lighting, and natural wood L-shaped kitchen will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized. Daybreak is a bright, cheerful space overlooking the lake. There is a large, old maple tree that shades the area right in front of the cabin, but the cabin itself fills with sunshine through the big picture window giving calming views of the still waters of Lake Belle Taine. Inspired by the colors of early morning, you'll be soothed and recharged surrounded by the shades of dusty rose, mustard yellow, and warm white throughout the cabin.

This three-bedroom, one-bath cabin has two nice-sized main bedrooms with queen beds and a third bedroom with twin bunks. A bathroom at the front of the cabin and tile floors throughout the main living area makes this cabin ideal for those with youngsters who love spending time in the sand and water. The small but efficient galley kitchen opens to the main living space with a comfortable couch and roll-away table for the ultimate use of space.

Moonbeam is our most centrally located cabin. It has been completely rebuilt from the ground up and boosts our highest ceilings. With stunning navy cabinetry, gold hardware, and statement black lighting, this cabin's name and design were inspired by the nordic word mångata, or the roadlike reflection of the moon on water. In other words, a moonbeam. Striking, dramatic, and romantic. With pale, knotty pine on the walls and ceiling, this cabin captures that quintessential “up north” feeling, with a modern touch.

This two-bedroom, one-bath cabin comfortably sleeps 4 people. The smaller of the two private rooms has a double bed, while the larger has a king-sized bed that can be converted to two twins upon request. Bedrooms and the living space are carpeted, while the bathroom and kitchen have updated laminate flooring to keep the space fresh.

Afterglow is our largest and one of our most popularcabins. Inspired by the colors of sunset reflecting on still water, ithas striking red cabinetry contrasted by accents of dusty teal.It has beautiful lake views and direct access to the beach and water play area, though the slope to the lake is steepest here. The area directly around the cabin, however, is on level ground, and the main outdoor stairs are just a short distance away.
As our most spacious cabin, this is the perfect choice for an extended family or larger group. Families who book several cabins often request this cabin as a central place for the group to gather.

The bunk room in the far back of the cabin cancomfortably sleep 4 people in the twin bunks and one doublebed. The front bedroom, nearest the main living space and bathroom,has a king size bed, and theback bedroom has a double bed. The two bedrooms toward the back of the cabin both have nice-sizedclosets. Ceiling fans circulate the air in 2 of 3 bedrooms. Thebathroom has a tub/shower combo, fresh painted walls with wainscotting, and a new, modern vanity and lighting.The large, open conceptkitchen and living area spans across the entire front of the cabin with nice windows on either side of the front door to take in the lake views.
Floors are tiled in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The remainder of the cabin is carpeted.
