The only negative is the garbage that washes up on the beach. It’s not a factor at the hotel as they clean the beach but very noticeable when walking away from property. - "We were upgraded to a villa after a 2 day booking in deluxe room and then the oceana suite, which we never actually got to see after being upgraded to a villa. We'd had a couple of maintenance issues with a plug socket and then a leaking lavatory in our first room. The villa that we were upgraded to, was lovely, it was great to be able to step just outside into the private lagoon area. The kitchenette is tiny, consists of fridge, kettle and coffee machine with sink, but useful, though the addition of glasses as well as cups would be good, to consume the drinks from fridge, which is repleinshed daily at no cost, with coke, as sprite etc, though coke zero not an option, which I'd disappointing. The staff here are lovely, with a big shout out to the young guy who drove the shuttle, as always smiling. FREE use if kayaks, was great, so many orange and blue starfish to see. The last free shuttle finished back to resort at 20:30 from alona beach area, but it's easily walkable back to resort, we did this most nights. Breakfast had very good selection, though I often found the cappuccino lukewarm and not strong enough, do would order a double espresso to add. Loved going down to the beach steps each evening to see crabs and starfish. Great place, would highly recommended. "

- "Art and antiques abound in a well decorated resort. Lush and green, wonderful pool and a beachfront; you can't help but be impressed with the layout and excellent staff. My suite was full of light airy with two balconies. If you want quiet at night, this is it. View is amazing: WiFi and cable TV not great but available. My one disappointment was their wine selection: terrible! Next time I will bring my own, but in their defense the wine vendor they used went bankrupt, although a 4 star resort should do better. - "We think he hotel is newly renovated and still not ready yet for occupancy . There was a clean water leak in the toilet reservoir or water tank that posed a danger for slip and fall and from the time we came to the time we left was not fixed due to maintainance guy not being available. An exposed wire by the door about 4 ft long was showing (slip and fall hazard again). No mirror in bathroom for shaving. Beach access fenced off and not available. No sand but appears like the beach is muddy. The most worrisone thing is the orange pipe that comes out on the side of the building from the second floor to the first floor which we think is the sewer line.????(Health Hazard) The Korean restaurantis good but pricey. Another thing is they do not accept credit card nor have credit card machine. Guest should be forwarned to bring thousands of pesos in cash (for restaurant etc.) Supporting pictures available. - "Our stay at Danbi resort was not particularly pleasant. The staff were very friendly and always wanting to help. The common areas were small but very pretty and relaxing. The environment was quiet too. Bed was VERY comfortable! One of the best we’ve stayed on. Unfortunately the rest was not so good. The breakfast was vial; no choices the staff just gave us every possible thing and it tasted terrible. We didn’t want most of it. Consider integrating a menu so people can decide what they want instead of a plate full of poor quality meat. The room was less than basic. No chest of drawers, no hangars in the wardrobe, no chair - basically nowhere to put your clothes other than the floor. The bathroom was worse, the shower was broken and was spraying all over the wet room, nowhere to put toiletries, no bidet (which is fine) but you have to use a trash can with no lid to put your toilet tissues into… the room wasn’t cleaned when we were there so that was not particularly nice. The door didn’t feel secure. WiFi was basically non existent."
