At first metal plate on highway was annoying ( like trains on track as trucks hit it) but soon I got used to it and it helped me get to sleep. Hermitage garden cottage is a beautifully renovated limestone cottage with modern amenities located at 7 Hermitage Crescent, Port Lincoln. You have your own private entry which leads through a courtyard garden to your entry door which opens to the living room. The kitchen and bedroom are flanked by a verandah which overlooks a Persian style 'Paradiese Garden' with a water feature. We live on the other side of the fence and around the corner at 9 Stuart Tce and can be reached if you should need any help or assistance. You might see Uta at times in our private vegetable garden which is adjacent to the courtyard garden, however she will only interact if you wish so. We respect your privacy and want you to feel at home.
The cottage offers a modern, accessible bathroom and a fresh, comfortable, well equipped kitchen. There is a 2 plate ceramic cook tops and a convection microwave oven which allows you to grill, cook and heat up dishes. There is a fridge and a freezer to keep your food cool and fresh.

This large family home is a perfect spot for all the family to relax and enjoy their own space, including the furry family members!

In a nutshell: four bedrooms, one toilet, one bathroom with shower, bath and vanity, two spacious lounge rooms plus a large rear patio/barbecue area and secure yard.

The main house area has three bedrooms with two queen beds and two singles plus one lounge room has a double sofa bed. A detached rumpus room has four single beds.

Guests often appreciate the spaciousness of this home, there is room for the whole family to spread out and relax in comfort.

There are three stairs to access the front door or there is a ramp at the rear sliding door if required, once inside the house is mainly level.

The front yard has plenty of room for parking several cars or caravans. The rear yard is spacious and secure, fully fenced and gated so safe for little ones and furry friends.

Flooring is largely polished floorboards throughout the home, easy to clean and perfect for sandy feet. Unlimited wifi is provided. The large rooms are peaceful and serene while the many windows allow plenty of fresh air. There are multiple places to relax, inside and out.

All linen is provided (as per enhanced cleaning protocols all linen is hot washed with anti-bacterial laundry products). Commonly touched surfaces are disinfected between guests as per guidelines, cleaning products, sanitiser, and anti-bacterial wipes are provided, contactless entry and exit are standard and the home is vacant for 48 hours between guests to enhance hygienic practices.

There is a comfy, quality queen sized bed in the master bedroom, another queen in the second bedroom, and two single beds in the third bedroom. One single has a railing, great if a little one has a habit of rolling out of bed! One of the living rooms has a double sofa bed also.

There is a semi-attached second games room to the side of the main house which has four single beds. This private area is a great option for extra guests, allowing for extended family or friends to have their own privacy. This area is connected to the main house via the rear patio.

The rear patio area is a sheltered, informal area, perfect to unwind in. There is a barbecue provided if you feel like throwing some local produce on the barbie!

The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. A gas cooktop, electric oven and lots of kitchen gadgets make it easy to cook up a storm. The home's water is currently supplied by rainwater tanks with mains water back up. (The water in Port Lincoln is very hard and something of an acquired taste!)

There are lots of extras throughout the home to provide ample comfort without being too precious! You don’t want to stress following the kids around all holiday, so relax and enjoy.

Our house has 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 guests. The main bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite, with sea views, the second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a seaview, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds and a garden view.

Watch the boats and ships go by from our large open plan living space and kitchen. You can continue to see the sea from either of the two bathrooms…. And it is not uncommon to spot a pelican!

Ceiling fans in all areas, double glazed windows and afternoon shade effectively keep the house cool in hot weather. A beach session in the morning on a hot day is recommended, then you can enjoy the shady deck in the afternoon.

When the weather is colder, guests will be provided with firewood so that you can enjoy the ambience of our combustion wood heater.

Guests are welcome to use the laundry downstairs, and a dryer in the garage is also available for use. But with so many great activities and beaches to explore in and around Port Lincoln, hopefully you don’t need to hang out in the laundry too much!

The second spacious bedroom comprises two singles beds or a king bed (configuration as per the guests request).

The third bedroom is a large nursery featuring a designer king single bed, trundle bed, toddler slide, kids toys & a cot. But also can be configured as an adults bedroom.

The large bathroom features an oversized bathtub & luxurious shower. The home also encompasses a powder room & large laundry / mud room.

The acres surrounding the home are ideal for kids to explore & play plus comprise of an XL vuly trampoline, chubby house, L monkey bar set, flying fox and basket ball ring . Outside is also an ideal place to just sit back & enjoy serenity & admire the beautiful view & wildlife that call this property home (families of blue birds & blackbirds). There is also ample car parking plus room for a boat & or caravan & an outdoor fire pit.

Guests also have access to wifi plus Netflix, Binge, Stan, Apple TV, Disney & Kayo.

There are no blinds in the master bedroom as the owners like to wake to the sunrise.

During October the house will be decorated for halloween!

From late November and throughout December the house will have Xmas decorations.
