- "We booked Casa El Eden for one week while visiting Quito to do some climbing on Cotopaxi and Cayambe. We took advantage of utilizing the driver recommended for pickup at the airport. I highly recommend this service. Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by Mario, the owner. I can't say that I have ever met a more gracious host. This man and his wife, Blanca, made our stay at Casa El Eden feel like we were part of their own family. The building itself was remarkable as we were told of the dilapidated state of this hundred year old structure when Mario and Blanca bought it, to its current magnificent restoration. Daily we would sit for breakfast at a communal table and devour one of the healthiest and best tasting breakfasts. At breakfast Mario would inquire about our days activities and make suggestions on transportation, shopping and dining. We used his car service several times which proved to be extremely efficient and cost effective. Upon returning each day either Mario or his assistant Daniel would greet us and ask how our day had been. These inquiries were sincere as everyone at Casa El Eden was interested in us having an excellet vacation in Ecuador. On Christmas Eve we were invited to dine with Mario and Blanca along with there son and daughter in-law. It was an amazing dinner spent with people I truly miss. If you stay in Quito and want a great experience I highly recommend Casa El Eden."

To use the laundry you have to buy your own soap and softener and pay $5.00 cash that is not in the description, it would be nice if the unit offer all that supplies so you don’t have to worry where to buy and you also use it ones. I suggest to put Blinds edge to edge to the wall there are not secure and loose. Things like that should be fix quickly to make your stay a quality experience to stay. (I’m an architect and interior designer and have been in a lot of places, this are just suggestions) in the beginning was hard to contact with the owner but after that communication was great."

There was a 32 LCD TV w/ DirectTV (Spanish only ch), large closets. Yes the entire property is old so expect aged furnishing. But decent for the price. The bathroom was fully functional. Though there was mold building up on the ceiling (they had this odd popcorn style texture). Nonetheless the it was clean, shower water pressure was good and decently hot. No toiletries, but a store is right next door. Cheap too. I would stay again if there. Location and great people."

- "This property is not only very cute, the location of it is high up on the side of the mountain so it's very quiet and safe (though not super easy to find). We'd happily stay there again and again! The family that runs it is lovely. " - "Marcello, the owner picked us up at the airport, walked us over to the airport Covid testing center and waited patiently for us to get through all the testing and paperwork. While driving us to the Lodge, we learned a bit about him (he was a foreign exchange student in Florida during high school) and his family who help run the Lodge. We chose the Lodge because we wanted a spare day before we went onto the Galapagos and the Lodge is about 25 minutes from the airport, much closer than going into Quito. The view from our room was beautiful: countryside and sparkling city lights in the distance. They served a lovely large breakfast. For dinner we ordered delivered takeout food from a nearby restaurant. Once it arrived, Marcelo's wife set a table for us in the breakfast room. The property is lovely and relaxing. Although we didn't use them, there were hammocks and a BBQ. Our room was immaculate and tastefully/beautifully decorated. White walls, wooden beams, a few simple decorations. We enjoyed relaxing before our trip to the Galapagos. We took a steep walk up to a huge cross with territorial views that took about 1.5 hours up and 1 hour down. Younger people could probably do it more quickly. Then we hung out playing cards and looking at their books downstairs. They have a really cool wine cellar sort of cave like. If you only have one day turnaround and don't want to be hectic, going into Quito and back, I'd recommend Ilatoa Lodge. "

- "While I booked this hotel, it is currently under renovations. I wish Cesar would have let me know before as I arrived in the dark with my Uber driver telling me that this is not a safe area. Thanks to the drivers help we finally established that I was staying at Blue Door Housing instead. It’s a beautiful old building and Cesar is truly an amazing host. Didn’t have potable water the first night but after complaining, Cesar made sure I had some the following day. If a message was sent to me where exactly I was staying and if I had potable water the first night then it would have been 5 stars. You really can’t beat how friendly the host was. I also don’t think it’s a dangerous area despite what the Uber driver said as it was a very quiet but I had to Uber to restaurants at night."

- "Our family of five stayed in two rooms. Marco and Andres made us feel comfortable and at home. They were extremely accommodating and helped us with all our needs! Breakfast is included as well which included fresh bread, eggs made to order and fruit. The property was beautiful and there were some alpacas on site. Is a beautiful room with full size bed, satelital tv, closet, little hairdresser, mirror in a nice apartment with all services: internet, , hot water, laundry place, access to kitchen, living room, garden. Close to all turistic and educational centers. All kind of transportation is close and available during day and night. Nice an cozy environment.

It is a bright apartment. Unlimited wifi and coffee . Hot showers on a bath tub are great! 24 hours pick up service from the airport. The room has double bed (the mattress is new and very comfortable). In this department there are only two rooms, mine and host . I am a person related to art, theater and psychology. If you like that side of life, you will feel comfortable in this house and will enjoy its essence. I speak spanish, english, some portuguese, some french and little pharsi.

The kitchen has oven , blender , refrigerator , water heater , sandwich maker and microwave . There is a heater in the room and another in the dining and living area ( it is not often used because the climate of Quito is mild most of the time ) . The garbage is thrown in an impound located 100 meters from the house . Garbage collectors pass daily . The minimum stay is 3 nights .

Single room inside the host family home. Many green spaces and pool available on weekends. The bathroom is located on the outside and the shower is not very graceful (in it we bathe the men of the house, it is not only for the guests). We have a large parking lot and grocery store nearby. We are located 7 minutes from the Soundgarden event shed, 10 from San Francisco University and Valley Hospital, and 30 from the airport

The property in question is a hostel, and in the land of this is also the owners' house, and in this is the single room. It is very comfortable and clean, but being alado of the reception and the garage door is not that it is very quiet.
