This single room is great for people who are studying at JCU, have a hospital placement or have short term work in Townsville.

The space
This room gives you a space in which you can study or work in peace and quiet. The other housemates are Airbnb guests.
There are 4 bedroom rooms altogether, all with single beds.
You have the comfortable living room with all the things you need for relaxing, and all appliances and equipment in the kitchen you need for cooking.
In a separate unit upstairs there are 3 friendly permanent students living there that are always helpful, quiet and very busy with their studies.

Guest access
You have access to everything, including the laundry area just outside the back door under the patio. It also has outdoor furniture.
The bathroom is shared with the other guests.

During your stay
We live 5 minutes drive away in a suburb called Aitkenvale, so can come over if you need any assistance.

This is not a party house
This is a NON-SMOKING property, even in the BACK YARD. If you are a smoker, you need to smoke out on the nature strip and make sure all cigarette butts and put in the wheelie bin straight away.
No pets allowed, even though we love animals!

The space
If you are looking for a room in a convenient location then this is the place to stay. Our place has a share house vibe, as it has 4 rooms listed on Airbnb, a pool in the back yard, undercover shade, guest parking for 4 cars out on the street, a recently renovated kitchen, living room and bedrooms!
Your room is situated on the bottom floor, but the top is a seperate living space to the bottom, (where we live), so you get your privacy, with the choice to meet people if you feel like it.
The rooms all have AC, a fan, built in wardrobes and a study desk. Each room has its own lock as well. WIFI is connected to the NBN.

Guest access
- Washing machine and line space is shared with everyone.
-Outside furniture next to the pool is a great place to have a meal in an under cover area.

During your stay
* We own the house and live in the upstairs unit. If you have any problems, we will help straight away!
* The quiet hours are from 10pm till 8am as this is a residential area.
* This is not a party house, as people's privacy, down time and security are our main focus, but it's great to be able to meet new people and chill out by the pool and have a chat!

There are items in the kitchen for everyone to share such as tea, coffee, cooking oil and condiments. There are also sauces etc in the door of the fridge that everyone shares. Everyone has their own labelled shelf in the fridge, a shelf in the pantry for their food items and a labelled drawer in the bathroom vanity unit.
There is only street parking available for guests.

*The bedroom door has a little knob on the door handle with which you can lock it from the inside. Make sure you have this turned to the unlocked position, when you have your keys inside the room, otherwise the door will lock itself and you won’t be able to get back in.

You can access the property using a code to a padlock on the front gate. Then, you will have another code for the back door. Walk through the house to your private room.

Yes, you can park your car in the back yard. Drive through the large side gate to the left of the front fence.

BATHROOM
Until bathroom #2 is installed in my upcoming renovations, there is one large bathroom in the house. If and when the house is fully booked (four occupants) we are not much all home together at the same time, which allows for fairly good availability for the shower and toilet.
