The chalet is a great winter skiing base,15-20 minutes to the Whakapapa ski field and 50 minutes to the Turoa ski field.

The chalet is ideally located for summer activities-many walks such as the Tongariro Crossing or for mountain biking,kayaking,rafting,hunting or fishing.

The chalet is located in the centre of the National Park village and is walking distance to cafes,restaurants,bars,the climbing wall and ski shops.

Has a drying room for drying out ski gear/washing.

Has small gas barbeque.
Special conditions:
Owner/Managers contact details will be provided once you have a booking request.
Bookings require 25% deposit to secure booking within 36hours and balance due 7 days before stay. No cot or high chair available.
Two nights minimum. A $70.00 bond is required for cleaning, will be refunded if chalet left clean and tidy, visitors to clean up and leave the chalet in the condition as found. Rubbish/bottles can be taken to the National Park recycling centre.
No smoking inside please.

Mountain bike trails await and we are on the doorstep of the famous UNESCO Tongariro National Park.

This new look Chalet is not only modern but offers all the comforts of home, including a drying cupboard suitable for your wet snow, hiking or biking gear. It's located in a quiet street, yet minutes from amenities, cafes, shops and transport options.

Guest access
The A-frame chalet is standalone, located down a driveway at the rear of the property.

Other things to note
Note that we own both this chalet and the front chalet. Search for Andy Burnett chalet to find this on AirBNB. If your group is larger than 6 people you may like to book this chalet as well. We will offer a 20% discount for a double booking.

There is a large shed that is shared with the front chalet and is available for securely storing bikes or ski gear. The key to the padlock will be on the chalet keys.

Open plan living area with a light and bright modern kitchen, a spacious living area with a large wood burner that heats the whole house, plenty of firewood and a large private deck.

The two spacious bedrooms are off the lounge making all rooms easy to heat.

There is also a heat transfer system that takes warm air from above the wood burner and sends it directly to the drying room - great for drying ski gear after being on the mountain all day.

We are located at the rear of three properties which makes our chalet very private and quiet.

We DO NOT provide linen or towels so please bring your own bed sheets, towels and pillow cases.

We only provide duvets, blankets and pillows.

I have 2 double rooms, 1 with a queen bed & the other with 2 single beds available in a nice 3 bedroom wooden home (the third bedroom is locked off ).
National Park is 20 minutes drive to Whakapapa ski field and 45 minutes to Turoa ski field. The Tongariro crossing track is less than 15 minutes drive to the beginning. There are guides and other transport options available in national park for both the crossing and the ski fields.
In my 3 bedroom, 2 story house I have brilliant views of all 3 mountains from the upstairs lounge (weather permitting).
