Due to the nature of the property being set on a steep incline nestled in a natural woodland there are no fenced in areas, therefore children should be supervised at all times outside of the chalet.

On the plus side it means that natural wildlife like wild goats, quail, rabbits and even the odd mountain deer can be seen from time to time.

Due to its seclusion and privacy, the property is situated up a shared un-sealed driveway.
We therefore recommend that a car is essential to get to and from the property (500m from main road) that threads its way through the trees from the main road up to where you will be staying.
During winter a 4WD capable vehicle is required in addition to carrying snow chains and being comfortable if you need to use them. ***

Take a short walk along the stone steps and through the tussocks to the private open fire area in the old ruins. Continue along the path to the private hot tub and soak away those aches and pains from a hard days skiing on the nearby slopes. The hot tub is "open air" with 360 degree alpine views and with no city lights - there’s no better way to star gaze at night or watch the twinkling lights of the ski field on the mountain above.

The Space:
Coronet View Chalet has a very spacious lounge/dining area, small kitchenette (no stove or oven), beautiful large bedroom and stunning bathroom with shower.

Both the lounge area and bedroom have large sliding door to patio areas.

With all day sun, light up the BBQ and enjoy a local wine, while enjoying the views of Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.

To top your day off, enjoy the hot tub and sauna.

Bikes are available on request.

Guest Access:
The Chalet is towards the back of the property, where you will have plenty of space and privacy.

The hot tub and sauna are located next to the main home. No guest access to the hot tub and sauna from 10:30pm until 8:00am.

No skis, ski boots, poles or snow boards in the Chalet.

The Neighborhood:
The neighbourhood is rural, directly below Coronet Peak and with views to The Remarkables. Set on 5 acres, the property has direct access to the Queenstown walking and biking trails (over 250km) for many hours of whatever activity you like.

Getting Around:
It is best that you have access to a car for getting around the Wakatipu Basin.

Other Things to Note:
Coronet View Chalet is located in the heart of Dalefield, where you have access to everything that Queenstown has to offer, including the Queenstown Marathon. The start line for the Half Marathon is approximately 500m away!

Also located within 10 minutes are many world class golf courses (The Hills, Millbrook and Arrowtown) and restaurants (Amisfield, Millbrook and Mora Wines & Artisan Kitchen).

The home owners have two friendly dogs (Flo and Floyd). If you would rather not interact with the dogs, please let me know.

A stand alone apartment built about 12 years ago at the front of the Goldfields subdivision (close to the Sherwood Hotel) hanging out over the lake with fantastic unobstructed views across the Frankton Arm to the Remarkables.

The apartment has had a remake (4 yrs ago) and has changed into a 'ski chalet' in the mountains with plywood interior.

There is off-street parking for one vehicle on the car deck. Steps lead down to the apartment.

The space
Situated in Goldfields this apartment is perfectly positioned for water views, trails and very convenient to Queenstown central.

Guest access
Convenient to the Airport and Remarkables Park shopping centre (3km). The apartment is minutes from both Queenstown and the Remarkables Park shopping center. Queenstown area has an abundance of things to do and this apartment provides a convenient and relaxing weekend or holiday base.

Numerous mountain bike and walking tracks are accessible, across the Frankton Road. Beside the Rees - the first hotel on the road to Queenstown, a walking track descends through the Rees driveway entrance down to the waterfront.
This main access to Queenstown has a bike path with access onto the Queenstown Trail providing great riding from Jacks Point all the way out to Gibbston Valley. In winter Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona are just a short drive away.

Other things to note
Of note are the paintings in the hall way - two originals by artist JR McCormack of a two tulips, a Giclee Print of No 9 Gorge Road - the Qtn home of JR, a concept moon painting. Also a three piece Taos Box Canyon (a gift from JR)

The second bedroom is the Olympic Ski Room with the main bedroom featuring a Taos Poster and an original from Brandi Beauvais - Coronet Peak on flowers. Other orbital mixed photo art by Brandi can be found in the hall way and living room.

The apartment is cleaned by Mountain Daisy's using the Level 2 guidelines developed by Airbnb and by guidelines from Tourism Industry Aotearoa

The apartment has two bathrooms. Both bathrooms have had a full make over and are fantastic.

The bedrooms are downstairs.

Cleaning fees are standard for Qtn area and includes a linen fee
