- "This is a great place to stay after hiking the Routeburn track." - "A lovely and comfortable place to stay right on the shore of the lake." - "I could put up photos of the amazing view of Glenorchy and the surrounds but chances are that you've already seen them and are now looking for a place to stay. The Lake House is comfortable and situated very close to the lake. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. Bad because there are sand flies which will happily feast upon your bare skin. Make sure you wear good insect repellent at all times. We stayed in the King suite and it was a quite sizable room with a massive en-suite which included a separate bath. There is a small deck out the front where you could sit and have a coffee or a wine. WiFi was easy to access and suitably fast. The host was amazing and greeted me by name before I managed to tell her any more than the fact I was checking in. I felt that there was nothing that she would not have done to make our stay more comfortable if this was required."

There are 2 bedrooms, one has a queen bed, second bedroom has two single beds. There is also a fold out futon than can sleep an extra guest if needed

There is a car park located at the front of the property - please DO NOT park in front of the garage and the space is only for one medium sized vehicle. Anything bigger than that - you will have to park on the street. Access to the unit is on the street site of the property
