Private unit next to the owners house. Well separated by trees. Own drive & entrance. 2 Bedrooms, but the smaller one is tight for 2 adults. Microwave, fridge, toaster and Kettle, no Cooker. Bathroom and living area. Fully insulated and double glazed with a heat pump/air con. Lovely quiet area with beautiful views of the hills and a 900m walk from Sandy Bay Beach. 25mins drive from Christchurch Centre. Please note there are no shops in Governors Bay but there is a cafe and a pub.

The space
Please note that there is a water pump which comes on when you run water or flush the toilet. Some people might find this off putting but it can be turned off while you shower. Very occasionally it comes on at night but you can switch it off overnight as well.
The pump is in the bathroom which is nearest the smaller bedroom.
The main bedroom is further away and you can barely hear it.
Please also note that due to the pitch of the drive it’s difficult to see the smaller wall on the left of the drive way when reversing out. It’s easiest to reverse into the drive or park along the road if you are more comfortable with that.

The guests have their own drive and access through a lovely courtyard overlooking the stunning hills. Own living area with microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Also has 2 separate bedrooms, 1 large, 1 small.

Other things to note
Governors Bay is full of native birds, Fantails and Wood pigeons seen on a daily basis. The Sandy Bay beach is a 10 min stroll from the house perfect for a swim. The Governors Bay pub and Over the Hill Cafe are just a 10 min walk the other way for great food, coffee and Pizzas.
